Hehe.. I think I am glad its just my extended family that is big. :) I grew up with my parents and my older brother. :)

When I was a child, we visited some extended family in Cornwall when we were on holiday - I think that was Gran's Mum's half-sister's daughter and her family (or something like that), but it's not a part of the family we tend to hear much from most of the time :P

The only disadvantage of never meeting up with lots of family at one time (other than my Grandparents' big wedding anniversary one year) is that I've never really had much practise at being in a large group of people like that ;) I tend to just stay off to one side and let them get on with the conversations & whatever 😇

That could be I guess.. it can be overwhelming if you are not used to it. :) I have to say I almost prefer meating them a few at the time, as its more relaxed. Usually with my mums family you cant get a word in sidewides anyways if they are all present. 👼

yeah and it seems mostly that the buckets are working to transport them home. LOL it's not too terrible. Mostly just a gravel vaccum and a bit of shifting buckets out. Then refilling and adding in de-clorinator before putting back,

the last time I met up with my cousins & that side of the family, everyone was sat in little groups - my cousins were in one group, the uncles and aunts in another.... it just seemed nobody really wanted to chat to anyone outside of their own little group o.O :P

that sounds complicated, but I guess it's a bit easier than trying to catch a goldfish from a fish bowl, putting it into a water-filled bucket, then completely cleaning the bowl out and redoing the gravel ;) I hated trying to move those fish 😊 :P

Thanks :d I wanted to see if I could make that background look totally different ;) I think that car show we went to last year is run by a lot of 'dinosaurs' - they put up a photo of a "cocktail bar" which will be at this year's show, and labelled it as "for the ladies" o.O

that's very true, although the only one close to my age was my younger cousin, and I never felt I knew what to say to him! 😊 :P

So for over a week I’ve been in pain in my foot. Last week I noticed the top of the callus I have on my big toe looking like it was going to blister. It was hurting so bad I was in tears, struggled to drive. The following day it was brownish-black there. I tried some callus pads to lower pain. But it looked worse so we called and made an appointment. The callus was infected and removed. But that’s not the end of it. I need ortho shoes for starters which are $500. But then the bad news kept coming. Apparently, the cause of this is worse than I feared. I need tendon surgery to lengthen them and create room in the leg for the muscle. Apparently I’m not walking properly and that’s because the muscle is so tight that it can’t flex my toe the way I should be. He said I have to fix both legs. The left is the worse, but the right must be done first because of the callus that was removed. If I delay, I could wind up losing both my legs. I’m overwhelmed by this and am feeling extremely depressed. I was hoping things would settle down and I can get back to routine and now this… I have the first leg surgery on Monday. I’ll have a cast on too. Don’t know when we’ll do the other one. It’s rather expensive too so my mood is really low.
