I done fingerless mittens before.... with only a hole for your thumb and one for the rest of the fingers. lol I seen some very simple patterns for that. If you want an individual hole for each finger that sounds like a nightmare tho. :P

That is a good idea, parents tend to prefer it too I think. :)

It is always tricky when you are knitting or crocheting to get both the same for sure. I found crocheting fingerless mittens easier than knitting. But I guess that depends on what you are more comfortable with.

I know that struggle all too well.. most sleeves are too long for me on jackets etc. lol So elastics are awesome. xD

I forgot to take that bit of the fabric to the shop for Dad's shirt facepalm but I did get some polycotton with snowmen on, some other polycotton with snowmen and trees, and a small bit of Christmas glow in the dark fabric 😇 Both the polycottons are going to be coat linings, which is what I started working on today ;) My aim is a coat like the bluey summer waterproof one I made, but in a more suitable fabric for winter (fake wool) :D

well I will admit I even failed at getting sewn fingerless mitts the same size (literally that was just a rectangle of fabric sewn down one side) 😊 Generally I found crochet was easier than knitting, but I can keep my knitting tension more accurate than my crochet tension :P

hehe that's one reason I like making jackets laughs I'm tempted to add in some elastic in the hem of my pj bottoms too - I took them up a couple of years ago, but they still seem easy to stand on :K

Just a lil heads up. I forgot to say that I am leaving for the weekend tomorrow and probably wont be on much. Answering on here is a pain on my phone. lol Will be back on Sunday night tho. :) Its a thing for my organization again. We will have doctors talk about stuff and whatnot. And dinner etc at night and time to socialize. My tired brain doesnt seem to help me explain it seems like. lol But hopefully it made sense. :P

Paddy: For me I find it easier to get even tension with crochet somehow. I struggle with it at times while knitting. Especially if I am knitting with more than one colour. :P

You might enjoy the pjs more if you add elastics then, I hate stepping on my trousers. Its annoying. lol And it tends to ruin the fabric too. :)

It's been a while since I knitted with multiple colours, but I think I got on ok with that as long as I twisted the yarn behind each stitch - floating it behind just meant I had really wacky tension in places o.O Yeah, I don't normally like trousers with elasticated hems, but standing on the pjs is probably more annoying than the elastic will be :P I've also got some that are so wide (and long) that I catch my foot in the opposite trouser leg - they definitely need elastic before I wear them this winter! 😊

very true. We braved the elements to go to Warby Parker glasses store. I found one I LOVED but it was too expensive. But we've bought me another pair, they have an order to wait till I see the eye doc. I have an appt tomorrow at 2.50. THen I take a picture of my rx and then email it to them. Then sit back and wait. 😊 And maybe I will like the new AB pairs after I get used to them. But I feel better knowing I have one pair I like for sure. The glow in the dark will be Christmas tree decorations, depending on whether or not I can have the tree lights on this year - I thought having a glowing decoration might be a good compromise ;)

It worked perfectly :D ....as does the layering on today's look - I hadn't even considered putting a rag doll over the witch's cat! laughs the dragon one was more "I can't think of an idea" rather than anything planned out in great detail :P

It's supposed to be the fireworks in town tonight, but the weather is so bad (gale warnings and heavy showers all day) that they've had to call it off - they're announcing it on Monday when they'll rearrange them for, but the forecast for the next few days isn't all that great either
