It gets expensive getting presents for all the kids, I dont want to pressure of making stuff myself, so yup. That was a very welcome surprise! :) They do like ninjago and lego so I am sure they will be happy. :)

seeing as last year the end of November seemed to fly past, I wanted to be more sorted this time round ;) I've got yours and Raven's presents posted today, so when they arrive you can open the outer packaging (it's wrapped and in a bag inside so there's no risk of spoilers), and open the card before December 1st 😇 That's even more perfect then! I'm pleased the only kid I need to do presents for is K laughs and that's mostly because if my Gran (would've been his Great Gran) was still alive, she'd have been knitting things like crazy for him - so I wanted to keep the tradition going ;)

I just adopted a bloodred blob named RBC (red blood cell). lol If that name calls to you I can hold it for you to adopt from me til you get more openings, I don't mind. :D lol If not then I will be happy with my new RBC. I do really enjoy that the blob is a single red blood cell, I think it is clever. It's not my favorite color scheme but it works. ^^

Also the is one of my creations as well, released by . I had to wear it and play around with it in the wardrobe at least once. :D

Aww that's sweet - I can see how knitting socks would be preferable to sweaters, given how long they'd take to knit! I don't think my Gran ever did socks, but she made hoodies for me and school sweaters for my three cousins - she always used to ask for their school sweaters back when they'd grown out of them, so she could reuse the wool (she never asked for mine back, I don't think) :P

lol hey it works :P Sounds like a nice day. So guess what early this morning I discovered... i'm allergic to my glasses. See... I have metal frames and I do have a severe nickel allergy... I have lots of sores/and scabs on the side of my head... it's been going on for nearly a year... and I'm like damn it this hurts stop burning... -sighs- -takes off glasses- Wait.... I've had this nearly... oh crap... it couldn't be...right? the sores and pain is where my glasses hit my temples. (some of the metal does indeed touch... it could even be the temple tips... i suppose but more likely its the metal. I also have a little sore where the frame could've hit my cheek driving last week to the dentist--a sore i chalked up to a small pimple...)) I had to wash my hair to see if that could help. I went to the store where I got them today and I was shocked that they are going to make me two new pairs in plastic which I selected. To be honest, I don’t like them very much. I don’t think I look nearly as good in them as I did in the old pairs. So I’m hoping once we sort out the funds I can get a new pair after an exam to make sure I don’t need to update the persception. It’s been a long day of looking at glasses and I surrendered both pairs of the allergic ones.

thanks! :D I wanted to try something a little more spooky, and I got the torch / cape thing yesterday ,morning so that fitted quite well laughs I think the buttons on the coat might need moving over a bit (it's meant to be double-breasted, but I only put in one line of buttons.... the buttonholes are in the right place, but the back of the coat is quite full so I think I need to shift the buttons over to make the front close tighter (which hopefully should pull the back in a bit too!) :K

I've got a bit of the shirt fabric cut out ready to take into the fabric shop today (hopefully) so I can get some plain to go with it.... and maybe also sneak in some lining fabric for the coat I had planned seeing as Mum snaffled my navy waterproof wintery coat :P

....or they could surprise us entirely and make it as easy to get as the sole zapper skin this year :P although admittedly that was pretty boring seeing as it was so easy to get ;)

Def. faster to knit then sweaters, but I find them the most difficult thing to knit! :) I tried a couple of times, but they did not turn out all that great. lol Its actually a great idea to reuse yarn like that! Its expensive to buy after all, espeically a sweater and with kids that grows out of stuff way too fast.! :)

Aww, sorry to hear that you are allergic to the glasses you liked. :hugs: I am sure there are allergy friendly glasses out there that you will like better. :) It was nice of the store to give you new ones at least, so that you have something to use in the mean time.

I will admit I never attempted knitting any socks laughs I found fingerless gloves were hard enough :P 😊 I guess with socks the yarn tension is even more important than for a sweater, as there's less stitches to stretch to get it to fit your foot!

nods that's one reason why i made K's stuff a size bigger than he needs.... although last year's hoodie was too big so I'm hoping they stashed it safely so he can wear it now he's grown a bit more :P He'll be 5 in March, but I made an age 6 coat for his Christmas present this year as I'm hoping it'll fit him ok if he has a thick sweater underneath it 😇
