I try to just keep one tab regularly refreshed with the time, but that's a lot easier when I'm doing quests than when I'm just chatting on the forums :P

I don't know if it's my computer starting to give up the ghost (my Mum's computer did the same windows update, and has been perfectly fine), or if there's just a programme on mine that needs an updated update or something :K

I tried looking at the task manager, and found that 'Cortana' was taking a lot of power.... but in the last few days that hasn't been eating the computer's thinking space or power, and it's still been locking up so I haven't a clue now o.O Maybe I need to take the side off the computer tower thing and give it a good dust (thinking there might be a lot of fluff on the fan, although that shouldn't make the computer freeze like that o.O)

Oh, yeah, I bet Cortana is a resource hog. XD ...though it sucks that you shut her down and it is still freezing!

I can't shut her down unfortunately - there's no way to turn the darn thing off :K but somehow she got the idea I didn't want to be using that dumb app, and stopped hogging quite so much ;)

Weird. I'm pretty sure on my laptop that I don't have her set up. Or I denied her, or something. I don't remember and I'm getting tired, so the little bit of brainpower/memory I have is slowly leaking away in the ether. XD

I denied her access to everything that I could, but when I googled how to switch it off, the only answers from Microsoft are "you can't" o.O

I had a few experiment zaps on Fireworks yesterday.... but today's second zap: The zapper aims at Fireworks and makes them insanely happy for hours! sigh that's one very very very happy pet!

Ah. that explains part of it - that the parent leads the child in that. We actually left dinner a little early because the dad at the table was loud AF and the kid was a screamin' demon. Like...i'm sorry, unless it is chuckie cheese, your kid should be able to sit there and zip their lips - or at least talk normally, otherwise get a bloody babysitter.
