that's very true! That definitely sounds like it's something that he could make use of - I know he really is keen on lego so I can imagine it all ends up across the floor quite often! I'll definitely have a browse for ideas on that, as that could be a good one to make for him for Christmas (as it gives me a bit longer to work on it laughs) ;)

I guess dinosaurs are harder to design / make, so most people just stick with the easier shapes ;) there's got to be something out there somewhere though ;)

I'm not too sure on the softie (I don't get on with sewing felt for some reason!) but the zipper pouch looks really interesting.... just wondering if I could make that tiger into a dinosaur's face somehow....; )

Mum suggested I just used items I have here already (I do have a couple of dinosaury things and there's a kid's book Mum thought he might like), but I don't want it to look like a random assortment of items that don't go together.... so if I did the book, the dino things and a dino pouch to put it in, that might help to tie it all together maybe? :)

yeah poor thing. I got her her own set of bowls today along with a collar and a set of toys just for her. Hopefully she'll feel loved. Just use some of his old fabric and make a zipper pouch :D it'll be cute and should work. and will totally tie into the other gifts :D great ha :D

That's a thought - I wonder if I have any non-stretch fabric left that I'd used for his stuff before makes a note to have a rummage tomorrow I did come across a few odd stretchy fabrics before, and I thought about making that into a hoodie for Christmas (one year) if I had enough - I found a pattern that literally uses oddments of fabric that are left over from other projects, but I'd need to check those pieces are large enough as by then he'd be in the 7 or 8 year sizing!

Well at night I give the older ones some wet food so they are all seperated to eat it and not theirs and someone else's so for that bowl no. The other bowls well I don't mind if others eat from it honestly lol as long as its not the dog :P

nods but I figured if I made it an age 8 (he'll be 6 next month) then it'd give him two years (ish) to wear it so it'd get more use than something that was only made for him to wear at the moment. I'm hoping that if I make it look fun enough, he'll want to change into it after school laughs although I think it might be wishful thinking on my part)

hehe the only real reason I started making him presents, was because if my Gran was still alive, she'd have been knitting him jumpers like crazy! So I thought as I had the time and the opportunity, I'd keep the tradition going (although I admit I switched to sewing them after the first two knitted tops!) ;)

That is reallly sweet. :D Always nice to keep traditions like that going. :) I remember my grandma would knit warm socks for her whole family, and I was fascinated watching how she was working with five needles. Looked so complicated. Was a big part of my inspiration for taking up knitting and crochet later in life. ;)

I don't ever remember watching my Gran knit - it was like this magical thing that you'd see a few needles and the yarn laid out on the bed in the spare room, then the next thing you'd know is that you had a new top laughs I really wanted to make something with the left over yarn I was given when she taught me how to knit (the yarn was left over from a hoodie she knitted me when I was 5 I think), but it wasn't long enough to use.... so it's just living in my knitting bag ;)

If I still have the hoodie (not sure if Mum kept it or not - I have a feeling she might have done), I'm tempted to get it made into a memory bear, as I found a company in Scotland that makes bears from old knitted clothing ;)

and? :P sounds nice lol minus the work :P Well Dad got a new desk so I was busy building that Tues and Weds. Lucy broke a very valuable keepsake so we ordered a curio cabinet and it arrived today. So dad and I moved the second freezer into the garage with the mini one and now have that space in the dinning room for it. I won't be able to build it tomorrow though as my glasses are in and we are heading to ATL to pick them up. Mum's going to stay with the hoard lol. I'll just have them take the new lenses and pop those in. She apparently is allergic to those blue blockers. LOL and I have mine taken out as well as I didn't like them at all. Other than that my plans are to play some games lol. My new games from my recent trade are finally here so I've been busy lol.

true... but you maybe can make him hulk pjs? My brother had some for years when he was K's age and he used them as a costume on Halloween. David's bottoms were like 3 different hulk figures all over and the top was something like one face smashing through or a fist? lol it's been a while :P haha mean dragon :P
