no worries! I don't have a tablet either, and Krita is like the free, open source version of adobe. I just don't know if I can make it work for this, but you're right, there's bound to be a tutorial somewhere that'll help! :)
I love the Beachy Keen group... just won both a round AND one of the spots in the Pride parade HA contest!!!! I'm super stoked.
I'll get caught up in the chat in a bit, I'm afraid. Had to attend city council with Mister J this evening and it led to a few rounds at a local pub to do some post-council hobnobbing and that sort of thing. Alas, I'm exhausted and am just going to sit and do quests until I can't keep my eyes open. LOL.
Love the HA!
I'll be changing mine once prizes get sent out for the Beachy Keen parade winners. I'm enjoying it quite a bit at the mo', though!
Congratulations on the win.
I just finished watching the new Stephen King film 'IT' its very good, lots of jump scares, much scarier that the original hopefully I wont be spoiling anything when i say Im expecting there to be another one, I do love stephen King books Ive read most of them, some of his films end up being rather naff, I dont know why.
Not a big fan of scary movies, but Mister J is a huge SK fan, both book and films.
thanks! it's been hot here but I've been working, figure at least my HA can dress for the weather :P I enjoy yours, too! :) I thought It was pretty good, too, Bill Skarsgard was pretty amazing. Granted, I haven't seen the original, but even so.
I think it was more of a TV series than a film having googled it, Tim Curry was excellent as the clown, and 'John boy'[The Waltons] played Bill if I remember correctly.
I read 'cell' a few months ago,and then made the mistake of watching the film right after, it was really awful I wish I had waited a while or not watched it lol. I've read all his older books then I took a break and read Clive Barker or Dean Koontz for a while,I did used to read all sorts of stuff, but now the internet has me in its death grip lol.
Same here. I still try to be an avid reader, and sadly I will admit that having a Kindle app on my phone and the ability to 'borrow' e-books from various library apps helps a great deal. (Especially during cold winter months!)
Oh I use a kindle, I used to read all the latest hardbacks as soon as they came out, but my old hands cant hold half a stone up anymore lol,[I made my hubby take me to a local supermarket the night they released Harry Potter at midnight once].
Anyway when you go on holidays youve got tons of books right there in your handbag, whats not to love?
I tried to read on my tablet using an app, but it was giving me migraines, I think the text wasnt right for my eyes or something.
Kindle is amazing. And yes, as much as I crave holding a book in my hands at times, having innumerable books at my fingertips is a blessing in so many ways.
That photo only represented a few of my kitties. Most of the time they arent all hanging out in one spot. LOL Usually spread out doing their own things. I will get 2 max 3 cuddled together at a time but more then that VERY rare.
Send all the positive vibes you can...my poor laptop has decided to throw fits again. Thank the goddess I already backed my files up, but I was hoping for at least another year out of this laptop before looking at replacing it...
All the kitties knew they were going to be on the hit parade, so they lined up once! Yay! kitty parade!
Oh no! Sending white light and a prayer to the Orisha of machines for the fussy laptop.
Everyone looks great. It is too hot to go outside so I am hanging around inside.
You look great too! Like a Priestess!!! It is time to languish in front of the fan weather, I agree!
I was listening to Claire de Lune and wanted to make something with a moonlight theme. I love that piece of music.
Both the music and your interpretation are lovely. And you look cool and content in the moonlight...
oooo, tim curry! gonna hafta track it down now :) yeah I was really resistant to the idea of kindles and nooks etc, because there is something delicious about the smell and feel of paper, but having thousands of books in that little compact device is mighty handy (and in fact when we had to evacuate for the fire, i took my kindle, after staring at my hard copy library for hours, unable to choose which titles to bring and which i'd be okay with letting burn). kitty parade! - lil fuzzbutts of divinity and havoc <3 pleading to mercury on your behalf <3
