The surgery went well. I'm still a little loopy from the twilight anesthesia, but otherwise feel great and virtually pain free. It should take full effect in the next day or two and my neck won't hurt me! Hurrah!

shots?! @-@ I know it's bizarre, I love tattoos but I flippin' HATE needles. So kudos to you for taking that like a champ. My neighbour across the road has had his outside Christmas lights on for two weeks now, no special reason that we can discern, I've just taken my bottle bin up to the street for collection tomorrow, and looking down the road, another neighbour has put some green fairy lights on his railings and they are flashing merrily away, I know he will be doing this with irony and to take the p***

Thanks. They're likely both returning to public school in the fall, but right now I am def researching options. Mostly for the boy, who will be in junior high (7th grade). I love our local elementary school and the VERY progressive principal, who has her doctorate in education. My daughter will be in 1st grade come fall, and for now I'm happy to leave her where she is and simply supplement her at home.

I'm with Tiobe on the needle thing. HATE needles, but have tattoos. LOL.

Logan is doing well. He went in on Friday for his 2nd treatment and checkup and is doing well. He is happy medication is over and his appetite is mostly back now. Still not where it was but he is eating regular now. He is currently trying to hunt a moth that came inside...he is intently staring where he last saw it.

that's it, I'm moving to England ;P our town literally had a council meeting on whether or not to ban "tivoli" lights (the smaller xmas/twinkle lights) because shops were using them and one of the council members thought they were tacky. whimsy and humor go far in my book. it's wonderful your younger kid has such a wealth of support and resources (yourself included). caring faculty and admins can make all the difference! and junior high can be such a tough time. good for you for exploring different options. so many parents around here don't think outside the box like that, and there hasn't been any money for the public schools in such a long while, so class sizes keep getting bigger and campuses closed down/condensed and teachers increasingly (and understandably) frazzled. yaaaay the wild and ferocious hunter <3 I'm so glad he's perking up and on his way back to full health! <3

(WAVES to every one else, also) I've GOT to tell you!! 2 things.

first. i lit a sage bunch this morning, and put it in my pot (mini cauldron my girl friend gave me) to sit, and just let it burn.

when All Of A Sudden, THE ALARM WENT OFF!!

hahahaaa it REALLY "smudged" the house. hahahaaa the dog is barking the alarm is blaring and i'm to short to reach it to stop it!! (plus running around opening windows and turning on fans and trying to put the sage out) LOL /thank goodness i had a bottle of water i was drinking, and i just dumped it on the sage. all the time saying a "thank you Goddess" prayer. lol/

second. (MORE excitement)

was outside. sitting on porch. hummingbird comes and starts feeding.

when MY hummingbird comes and Attacks the other one!!

lol i thought for SURE i was going to get hit!! all i could think about was the hitchcock movie The Birds.

but it was SO Close!! i mean, Really CLOSE. i'm trying to talk the man into getting me another feeder , that attaches to the window.

well. one would be in the front yard and the other would be in the back yard.

not sure if she wouldn't take both of the feeders for herself but it sounds like a good idea to me.

I think its good to 'play' or at least get away from the real world sometimes, i used to use books, but its the internet now and games. Mines on holibobs right now ;o)

I do books as well...but yes, Subeta is def an escape and way to relax for me. Always has been. (Was Neopets for awhile as well, but I honestly dont enjoy that site the way I used to.)

I was on neo as was Pagan, but it got too much like hard work. it was sad to leave pets, but too restrictive, getting and swapping cw type stuff was ridiculous! I love it here.

Yeah I still have accounts on Neo, and was active around this time last year, but it is simply too difficult to really "interact" anymore with users. There's only so much you can do by yourself without becoming bored, lol.

Umm...hello?! Been almost a month since I was last on here. We're slowly getting things done here. Still trying to get floors fixed and have new carpet and vinyl put down. Also we have a puppy now. And we had a person put in his two weeks notice at work and today was his last day...so hours are gonna pick up again for me. I'll try not to make it a month again before popping in again...but i can't make any promises. XD
