I like this pet also. Only zapping him to get the couple zap minions I want and when I'm done I'm planning on making him an aqua blob. I only need 1 more pet to get the achievement and when I do I will be giving away 10 of them. Just waiting on the pet slot from the questathon.

I hope that slot comes soon (even tho I only have one pet at the moment). I already know what I want to fill them all up with.

I haven't been keeping up with what's going on with Stardew Valley lately but I think I vaguely recall seeing that multiplayer was in the works for the game. I need to get that game back out and play it some more. I'm waiting for Ghost of a Tale to be released for console. It's already out on PC and is supposed to be released for consoles too, but the game was released about a year ago. It seems very Redwall-ish. Though I honestly don't need to add more games to shelf at the moment, I have too many that I need to finish, but I'll be getting two more games in October. Technically, I haven't really been keeping up with news for any of the games I have or newly released games. I thumb through Game Informer and always intend to go back and read through it, but haven't yet. My daily schedule has changed so much since March when my husband left for his deployment. I settled into one routine, then started a seasonal job and my routine changed. Got used to that routine, then my seasonal job ended and I sort of settled into a new routine until my husband got switched to working days instead of nights overseas and we no longer get to talk as much.

I was pretty lucky with Carl yesterday and today. I got a few new pirate items. I might have to go do Pete's quests (and everyone else's) to see if I get anything.

Much respect for you for living as a military wife! I couldn't do it. I don't even like when my husband has to work late nights until 9 or 10 at night. That might change once we have kids, but as of now, I just get so bored and lonely when he's not home. I moved away from my family about 5 years ago. If I lived closer, I would spend the nights he works late with them, but they live about 4 hours away and that's a bit out of the way.

It's not easy during a deployment, but it isn't too bad when he only has to be gone for drill or annual training, since he's army national guard. I've only seen my husband in person for 8 days since he left in March and that was during his leave between trainings and the deployment. Most of our communication is through Facebook Messenger, with a few video chats here and there. It would be easier if I could make a countdown to when he'll be home of some sort but I don't even know when he's supposed to be home. And once he gets home, I suspect we'll be traveling a lot so his family can all see him, or we'll be spending the night (hopefully just one) with his parents after I pick him up once he's back. I've known this deployment was going to happen for the past 4 years, we just didn't know when, and it made things stressful. Prior to last year, we lived in the city, 10 minutes away from his parents which put me 2 hours away from mine. I wanted to move out of town 3 years ago, but he didn't want to. Then he got tired of how everyone else in town drove (slowly if there was a hint of bad weather), and he couldn't wait for our lease to be up so we could move. Now we live out in the country near my hometown and closer to my parents. I see my parents everyday since I work on the family farm and I try to hang out with close friends, but then I go back home to an empty house, but this is better than if I still lived in the city hours away from my family and friends.

I've been trying to get a routine set back up, but so far that hasn't happened. I'd like to be able to spend each day doing a bit of cleaning, work on a sewing project, watch a movie/read a book, and play a game or two. But so far, I don't get home from the farm until after 4 p.m., then I feel like I have to scrunch in everything I wanted to do for the day. I've been playing Assassin's Creed Origins for the past week. I need to hop on Destiny 2 and see what all I've missed out on since the latest DLC was released.

That sounds stressful. I do hope you feel like you always have someone to talk to here when things seem lonely or stressful in life. <3 hugs

It sounds like you have a great handle on things though. That takes a lot of strength!

My husband is a tattoo artist. It's funny, people will always ask me what the hardest part about that is. They always assume the hardest part is the type of girls who come in. (The ones who have to remove a lot of clothing to get the tattoo where they want it or who offer to pay in ways other than money.....)

What they don't understand is that part doesn't bother me in the least - because I trust him and know he loves me. The part that hardest is never being able to have a routine because the hours are so crazy. Sometimes we eat dinner at 5 or 6 because he's home on time and I can plan and cook something amazing! And sometimes... it's midnight before we finally sit down to dinner which a lot of times is cereal for him and a glass of water for me because I was starving by about 9pm and finally gave in and ate something. Summer is so busy for him - I hardly see him in the summertime. But I'm spoiled in the winter - he's always home because it's such a slow time of year and he does a lot of the cleaning while I'm at work.

I've gotten a few new pirate items from Carl but of course not one of the ones I want/need. Darn. Trying to decide whether to keep zapping my zap pet to try and get the zap minions I want or give up, leave him as is for now and just spend the many millions it will cost to buy them. Hmmm. So, what do you guys think? I wonder if Stargazer will ever get fixed. And is anyone else surprised that Monday and Tuesday are over and still no prizes?

With the HP games we had an issue with the third character. Every time we had a third character it would cause problems when we go into different areas. We would go through a door and the third character would turn around and run back through the door. We would have to figure out a way to get the character stuck somewhere. I hated having limited moving room too. I am not surprised there is a lot of walking/running in the games since there was so much dang walking in the movies lol. I am convinced that the first LOTR movies would have been an hour shorter if they cut out most of the walking lol. Oh wow that is a great deal on the gameboys! I don't think I ever had one of those :(

It can be stressful at times, especially when things break in the house or something else goes wrong. It is very nice to have people here to talk to to make things less lonely during the day. hugs

It takes a lot of willpower too. I've got friends on Facebook who have been sharing homecoming videos that they come across and it's pretty painful for me to watch them since my homecoming is so far away and I'll admit I've been tempted to ask them not to share them. Then my mother-in-law checks in once a month and constantly brings up extended family get-togethers/special occasions that are going on that I should come to. So far I've been expected to drive 2+ hours one way to visit but she's never made the attempt to visit me. And I've had to babysit their Facebook pages to make sure they don't violate op-sec, which my father-in-law did as soon as my husband made it to his deployment location.

My husband is an electrician, so my biggest worry is something happening to him on the job. With some of his previous jobs, he would stay late to get extra hours, which meant we ate supper late, so we would just go out to eat. Growing up on the farm, what season it was (harvest, planting) would determine if we ate at the same time each night consistently, or if we would give up and eat at separate times. Since my husband left for this deployment, I've been trying to eat at 11:30 and 5:30, but when I'm not home for most of the day that doesn't happen. That's good that you two have at least part of the year to consistently spend quality time together. Winter months can sometimes be slow for my husband, it just depends on if his employer has electrical jobs at the time.

I've gotten three of the new backgrounds from Carl. He gave me two today and one yesterday. I suppose it depends on how much you think you might end up spending on minions to put on the zapper pet. I personally would keep zapping for the minions, but I hoard my sP.

I think I sometimes ran into that problem too. I haven't run into or noticed any problems with Lego LoTR or Hobbit, but the PS3 version of Lego Hobbit was laggy. Some levels do have limited space. Or the levels that have a cliff and you find out about it once you've fallen off. The games did do a great job staying true to the travel aspect. The Hobbit films also could have been a lot longer if they had included more of the traveling. I need to watch the LoTR trilogy again with and without the actors' commentary. I felt pretty lucky when I found them. The first was just the system, the second one included a power cord and 3 or 4 games. I had one game for the gameboy before I even had the system, found it sitting around at home.

For me I hate swimming! any time a game has swimming I hate it!!! Cliffs and jumping are a lot better for me lol. One day I need to check out those games. Maybe I can rent them.

- I've had crappy luck with Carl and even worse luck with restocking from the shop. My only hope is that the mystery box will feature the Frey store before the end of the event.

- I can't decide what I want to do with my pet slot. Maybe a blob? IDK. I'm zapping a pet for minions right now. I love some of the new ones. I wish we could pay a fee and just zap minions like you can with zapping experimental pets.

BTW, if anyone wants to trade one of the new books for Book of Sea Creatures, I have it in my trades. Lot .

I want all of the new pirate backgrounds but haven't added them to my wishlist yet, mainly because the Subetalodge wishlist link isn't working for me, so I haven't checked for them in user shops. I didn't get much from Carl today, but I did get a new pair of boots from Pete. However, I'm not too happy with Quentin, he's been asking for holiday items lately and they aren't cheap. I think I'll just have to create a pet for zapping at the adoption center has been empty for the past few days.

I hate swimming in games too. Two of the Assassin's Creed games that I've played include swimming and diving for loot and chests under water and in underwater caverns/tunnels (and have achievements for finding all of them). The controls always seem inverted to me underwater and you have an oxygen meter that you have to watch or you drown, so exploring is a big no-no. You can swim in Fallout 4, which isn't bad (if you have the unlimited breath perk and the perk that stops rad poisoning from water)...until your companion gets stuck in the water and swims in circles.

Lego LoTR is good. Lego Hobbit only follows the first two films, but they scraped the plans to create the 3rd film as a dlc, so that game isn't complete. I think it got scraped due to Lego Dimensions being released. I have Lego Pirates of the Caribbean too, but I haven't finished that one yet.

Yeah, I think I may change into a pirate outfit later today, since my HA never wears all the cool pirate things I have. I like the dress, though.

I'm currently organizing my wardrobe so I can get to things better. I'll have to see if I have enough pirate things to put a decent outfit together. I like this dress too, it's easy to make an elven outfit with.

I really need to organize mine, desperately. Put stuff into drawers. It's so difficult to do, though, and time consuming. Maybe I'll give that a go later today.

You don't need to use subetalodge to add stuff to your WL. You can just do a shop search and click the +wishlist at the bottom of the hover over. There's only a couple of the backdrops I want but have not seen a single one in that stupid useless shop. They need to do something about it. Either stock it a lot more or make it go for several weeks or something.

Congratulations! You've successfully morphed Special Unit 2 into a Blob! Gave up on the zapping to get a zap minion and made this pet what he was supposed to be. But since he was already aqua now I have an aqua potion sitting around. Haven't decided on what to fill the new pet slot with, still hoping for a chibi blob or snail. What did everybody else get? ;)
