I think I ended up with an inch of snow, maybe a little more than that. It didn't stay for very long today once the sun started shining. The ground was slick this morning, so I didn't go anywhere, but I heard it might rain again tomorrow night. I'm really tired of mud. My horse and dog are too.

Yes, there are way too many ads on Facebook (and Instagram), feels like every 5th post is an ad. And they disguise them to look like a normal post. And they are all related to things you've looked at. I have ads for Fragrant Jewel candles now because I ordered two of them. I've got ads for Loot Crate and Gamestop (which I don't mind, but they never really change). Then there are the random ads, for things I've never looked at or been interested in.

I love fluffing the tree, but it gets repetitive when you do it alone. I think my husband helped once and I ended up refluffing branches. I never get much help putting up the ornaments, hubby puts his up and then leaves me to do the rest. His ornaments are all the ones he got while growing up from his parents and grandparents, and I've got some as well (some of mine are handmade). He has two Star Wars ornaments, a couple dogs, and an army ornament. Most of mine are cats, horses, vintage, or ornaments that I remember being on the tree when I was little. Last year, even with a bigger tree, I still had to leave ornaments off the tree because I ran out of room. I've got 2 big tubs full of ornaments and then a smaller tub filled with fragile ones.

Yeah, fire would be the best way to get rid of all the spiders and their nests. Luckily, I haven't come across too many spiders in this house. They've popped up in the shower and kitchen sink mostly. If I leave a room messy for too long, they show up their. I found one in a closet on some clothes last week, that really creeped me out....I might have to find somewhere else to hang the clothes.

I agree on retiring older Morostide items, like the dwarf and elf ears. That's mostly what I got last year TOTing.

Glad you are feeling better, I've missed you. Sounds like you are busy, things have been pretty relaxes for me now that the local diner has closed for the season. I had a random fever about a month ago that knocked me down for a couple of days, now current weather changes are giving me headaches now...dang snow and rain. Ready for Morostide to start though.

RL has been keeping me pretty busy... short summary: -2 gardens (both closing in a few weeks) -severe health issues (recently diagnosed hypoglycemic rebound)... causing bad dizzy spells unable to easily recoup (scary), need nutritionist but difficult to get -2 week vacation with parents (more positives than negatives), got to see grandfather hadn't seen in 19 years -probs with landlord involving electricity... escalated to lawyer & will have to bring her to court -cooking club every Tues night -activities started again for the groups I'm involved with -finished Gismo's blanket, now working on a sweater for him -have an "educator" trying to help me better organize meal planning, etc. ... and more @.@

Miss you too, but I've been on daily. If anyone comments or smail me I tend to reply, it's just I haven't been doing a lot of reading/typing while I'm on to rest. I have been doing HA contests though :P

OMG WHY hasn't Morostide started yet?!? What are they waiting for? The big night is only 2 weeks and a day away. We won't have much time to get TOT etc. done. Wish it started in early October like it used to! I doubt we'll be able to get all the new goodies in only 2 weeks, and that's if it starts within the next day. Another pet has been claimed. Sounds like you have been busy. Things slowed down for me in the middle of September when the diner closed for the season. My hubby deployed earlier this year, I settled into one routine, and now I'm trying to settle into a different routine. I was doing well until his hours got switched to working days. We only get to talk in the morning and the evening, and I haven't been sleeping well due to that. Hypoglycemia rebound does sound scary, I hope you can find a good nutritionist soon. I have random dizzy spells every now and then, but don't have a clue what might be causing them. I'm glad your family vacation was great and that you got to see your grandfather. My mom and I still haven't been to Minnesota yet to visit family, might go in December. I hope the issue with the landlord can be resolved quickly and that she isn't the type to hold a grudge. I've now got a very spoiled kitten in the house. His name is Zelda. I thought he was a girl because he was so small and skinny, but after a week it was obvious...name had already stuck. I picked up a knitting pattern book of things to make for cats and dogs, may try making some things from it.

I've been trying to be on daily too for at least a little bit every day, even if it means just logging on on my phone. I noticed you were posting HA's of a board, but hadn't taken the time to look further, but I did finally look into the contest that jawsome was mentioned on. Sorry if this post is long 😟 I'm off to bed as my headache has turned into a migraine and my tablet's screen is hurting my eyes.

No snow yet, but it is getting really cold lately :( and it seems like it rains every day now!

I like putting on the ornaments, but I hate putting on the lights. Mainly because they are always tangled from the year before lol. I always say I am going to put them away better, but it never works out that way.

It's only 2 weeks from Halloween and seriously Morostide still hasn't started yet?!? :( I wonder what the big delay is. Two weeks is not long enough to get all the new TOT and patch items and zapper skins unless they increase the chances of getting new stuff. Still have 5 pets waiting for new homes. :)

It is irritating, especially when I had two magazines arrive at the same time....that's when I knew something fishy was going on. My parents also have been getting their weekly newspapers a day(s) later than they are supposed to. Our mailman has received numerous complaints from various people on his route, but I don't think there is anyone interested in replacing him. I wish someone would though...he drives like a bat out of hell down the roads.

The snow has almost completed melted, but the temps have been below freezing in the morning. I just called to get the propane tank filled so I don't have to worry about running out for a while (happened once, space heater wasn't enough to keep the living room warm). Finally seeing some sun today, which is great. Maybe the ground will dry out and farmers will be able to resume harvesting fall crops.

I'm betting the lights that I tried putting nicely back into their box last year are tangled, because I started out putting them back nicely then resorted to stuffing them in the box. I think I need to start putting them in gallon size ziplock bags and then into box so they at least can't try and become one very long strand. I don't mind putting up ornaments by myself, because I typically take my time and try to find the best spot for each ornament, and all my favorites go on the front of the tree.

Probably why they work so well as Halloween decorations, they fulfill all the requirements.....just as long as no live spiders join the fake ones.

If I had known after Morostide 2 years ago that the main thing I would get last year was the ears, I wouldn't have wasted time buying the rest that I needed. I can't remember if I fragged the ears I got last year or if they finally sold in my shop. What I wanted the most was the candy, especially the candy that was wearable, but I hardly got any of that. Those ears can go away and never return.

Sidenote, I start my next seasonal job tomorrow at the local co-op. Starting early so I can learn the computer systems before harvest starts.

Thanks. I've had the kitten since the middle of August. He's definitely spoiled. Has his own basket, blanket, tiger to curl up with and about 15 toys. He's much happier now that he gets to have the run of the house and isn't stuck in one room.

Morostide has started on the 16th plenty of times in the past, it's not really that late...

Not feeling too good today :( I don't even want to look at my WL and see what new items I am still missing from last year! Congrats on the job :D Moving to the new holiday board! Wanted to post more, but brain is not working too well right now.

Just got home from work and haven't had time to do anything yet. Just kinda disappointed that we only have 2 weeks because they waited so late to start.

Hypoglycemia rebound is body produces too much insulin & then absorbs food too fast causing low blood sugar. Now when I start not feeling well I have to eat a bit of sugar but it only restarts the prob and worse so 30 min to 1 hr after I need to eat something more sustaining. I've had 3 smaller rebounds just today... exhausting.

Landlord: No, issue might take years to resolve. Yes, she holds a grudge and bad. :(

Must go eat... again, sigh.

They do. It probably took me about a month to settle into the routine of working at the diner this summer. Then I never really completely settled into a new routine after the diner closed for the season, because it kept getting disrupted. But I feel like I've settled into a new routine quickly with my new job. I think having a kitten in the house has helped with that because I have someone to talk to when I get home.

I had read a little bit about it to get a basic idea of what it is, sounds pretty scary and would totally freak me out if it happened to me. I hope you can get things figured out soon to limit the number of rebounds. My mother-in-law is diabetic, and there are times where her blood sugar is fine and then just plummets. When that happens, she gets a bowl of sugar and eats a small spoonful at a time until she starts to feel better, but there have been times where that doesn't work.

Yikes, I'm so sorry. 😢 I can't stand people who hold a grudge. Wasn't there an apartment complex being built that you might have a high chance at having a spot in? Any update on when that would be finished?

I should probably try and get some sleep so I'm not dragging at work tomorrow.

Yeah, me too. I hate shooting them, but I've got three outside cats that eat the food. And the possums and raccoons make a mess of the feeder and water dish. The possums end up leaving clumps of partially eaten food in the dish, which prevents food from sliding down to fill the base. The raccoons leave cat food in the water bowl after attempting to wash it.

Next time I see her, I will pass that information on...if I remember. I won't see her until December because I doubt she will drive out here to visit me.

I really hope you are selected, as long as it will be a better living situation for you in the long run.
