At the end of Sept, I'm supposed to go with my parents to see my last remaining grandparent. Haven't seen him in almost 20 years. We'll see him the weekend of my birthday (22nd) and the rest of the two weeks we'll stop and see places. If all goes well, we'll be able to go whale watching :D

Have the blossom and waterfall hair coupons for sale in my trades since can't price stuff in shop for CSC unless it's a CW. Hoping somebody wants one. Asking same price I paid 250 CSC. Thanks. Fishing game is stupid. How can I be very close twice in a row and then suddenly nowhere near it. Grrr. Would sure like to get a couple of the new items, only reason I'm wasting my time on it. Sure wish they'd have another event to give us a free pet slot. I only need 2 more for the achievement.

You can get close by guessing but it's just crazy dumb luck to actually find anything good. Got 3 very close in a row then nowhere near it. :( Well I just bought 3 of the 4 items I wanted from the fishing game. Only 1 left that I still want, the background, but none of those for sale. Maybe check prices again in a few months. Would love a questathon with a pet slot prize, I need 2 more. Still have blossom and waterfall hair coupons to sell.

I need to play around in the wardrobe and re-familiarize myself with everything. I don't change my outfit very often anymore, but when I do I'm always searching for the items that I think I have but can't remember what category they fall under. I was sure I was going to miss out on a quest-a-thon, since I hadn't been on for a few weeks. A quest-a-thon would motivate me to do my quests daily and be on Subeta daily in general.

I hate when people point out jobs for me to apply for. I've been told I should apply for an accountant job, an editing job at the newspaper, and other various office jobs. I don't want a job where I'll have to sit all day inside and I'm not a people person either. The job my parents told be about that had interviews a week ago, was most likely for an office job, probably front desk type work. I can't easily talk to complete strangers or acquaintances, and small talk is exhausting for me, so I wouldn't be a good fit for quite a few jobs. I told my mom, I don't like talking to people/I'm not good around people, I prefer working with animals and working outside.

I've been told in the past that I'm being too picky, this was before I graduated from college and then soon after I graduated. I didn't want to work at a gas station or Wal-Mart (Wal-Mart doesn't treat their employees well, at least in the town I used to live in), because I wanted a job that had steady hours every day. Not one that would have me working nights, then switch to working days. You also want a job that you enjoy and are happy with, not one that makes you dread going in every day. I've got about a month left at the diner before it closes for the summer, then I'll go back to odd hours on the family farm. We've got cattle to move between pastures and then the cows will start calving in the fall. Only bad thing about working on the farm is I always hurt myself somehow. Pinched my finger between two metal cattle panels Friday, so now I've got a sore finger tip.

I love summer, but I have to admit, I'm ready for the heat to leave so I can turn off the air conditioner and get back to low electricity bills. That trip should be exciting! My mom and I were supposed to go to Minnesota this summer to celebrate her aunt's birthday (about a month late), but it coincided with wheat harvest so we didn't go. One of her cousins that now lives in Australia, was going to be there and its been about 5 or 6 years since she last saw him.

Yeah I hate trying to find something in the wardrobe when I can't remember the exact name of it. Which is why I made drawers. Because not all dresses are called "dress", not all blue clothes have "blue" in the name, etc. Makes things much easier. ;) You know what would be great, something that gives us a new site theme. Getting tired of the ones I have. Oh and Coda Caves is open Sharkies. ;)

One thing that annoys me is that clothing types are inconsistent. Some dresses might be under full body, while others are under the chest layer or the body layer. Some new site themes would be nice. I've been using the Morostide theme for years because it's the one I like the best. I tried a different theme a couple months ago, but went right back to the Morostide one. It would also be nice if achievements gave out more than just a forum title as a reward.

That's why I have a drawer just for dresses because they can be in body, chest, full body, etc. Makes it a lot easier to find them when I want to wear a dress. "You found a(n) Golden Glory Scratchcard in the pool! " Cool, thanks.

I've gotten a couple of the new minions and like 2 of the wearables from Fishing (wearing one right now).

It probably will take a long time to get everything, but at least it doesn't really take that long to play and it's once an hour so you can do it multiple times a day if you're around.

Congrats on the fishing finds especially the backdrop. I haven't gotten any of the new items yet and I play every hour that I'm on Subeta. I just bought 3 of the ones I wanted, the last one isn't for sale yet.

Which one is the last one, the other backdrop? I think that one may be one of the prizes for finding the treasure, so that one will be pretty hard to get.

This backdrop is also rare in shop search for now, but I got it when I got one of the "You were so close!" messages, so at least it's not a top prize you just have to get kinda close to it, which is easier to do.

It's the serpent seal. I didn't want ALL of the prizes so just bought the other 3 I wanted. But that one isn't for sale yet. Will check again in a couple months.

I am the same way. Deff not a people person! I pretty much like to work by myself and be left alone. The worst job I ever had was working at Old Country Buffett. People complain more about their food then anything else! I had one person complain that the milk in the mashed potatoes must have been spoiled. I didn't know how to tell them that it was fake mashed potatoes made from flakes and water lol. I just think there are certain things that a person has to get for themselves. A job is a big responsibility, and you have to find the right fit for you. I don't want to take just anything and have it only be temporary because it did not work out. Ouch that sounds painful :( hope it feels better now!

I've attempted a continuous square for a practice attempt at those popular circle/square cardigans and unraveled it because there was not enough yarn and the type I was using needed blocking. My gauge kept changing because I wasn't accustomed to the yarn type, a crinkly green that came unlabeled. I never found any other circular/ granny projects I wanted to weave... I did see a few interesting boho crop tops, fringed, that looked like they wouldn't feel comfortable as a top layer on its own, they take an average of 7 squares, some only 5 (yikes) and the straps look one-row thin :x Personally it feels like something that's more for thin fit young 20's people on festival or camping trips and not something many women would feel comfortable wearing over a certain waist or bust size.

There were a few cute pansy and hexagonal bag patterns that I might alter to suit my tastes one day, I plan to make the product last a long time so I want to get bag handles (so there's no worry of sagging fabric straps) and washers for handle reinforcement -- the bag making will have to wait. x) For now I think it's best to reserve square-making to scrap yarn only. Who knows? It might end up as a pocket on a sweater ^^

I haven't bought any bakes or teas for myself for a long time or ordered online in two years so I splurged, used almost 200$ on Lionbrandyarns last week and am waiting for delivery. 1 out of 3 packages came today, Lion Brand - Scarfie - Denim/Navy via Amazon. The mandala cake yarn is arriving Friday, also from Amazon(they split shipping). And the rest of LB's stuff is shipping idk when -- I ordered from LB two days before ordering off Amazon but it looks like Amazon has my orders ready before they do. Probably because LB is prioritizing Amazon's shipments over individual customers. It's the 5th day of the 3-9 business days the homesite planned to ship. I initially ordered the Navy/Ochre color from Scarfie from their homesite. (It's all Lionbrand lol, homesite just didn't have a sale on the cakes or today's package so I made up for it with Amazon xD. Those colors were meant to be together. I left today's package next to my arm to test my allergies to their wool blend :) ) It took a whole day to juggle yardage, weight, prices, colors and project ideas to plan the purchase and another when those different ones became on sale on Amazon! I didn't want to buy not knowing what to do because that'd waste too much money.

I'm planning to only make tops since things like scarves, hats, socks, gloves can be found in dollar bins :(. I like making cowls in the round though... I joined an fb crocheting community and there were people getting discounts like $2 to the lowest $0.25 for cake yarns from Walmart which stirred up jealousy :x I can't start on any of my projects yet since the largest package coming from LB contains the other colors and a tunisian hook to start them.

Your notebook sounds awesome. I started one and a third of the filled pages ended up with post-its organizing "researched" yarn brands by: page of particular yarn weight > series> price> blend> yardage> skein weight (to calculate shipping on recent shopping) :'( call it a waste of memory but I remember the customer reviews ahaha. If only this applied to my knitting and language skills. 👀 Another pattern that caught my eye here ~

-There was one page on knitting which I tried to relearn last night. This morning I messed up late on row 12 or 13 on two st and wasn't able to fix it and lost 2 rows from failing to undo and slip the loops back on the left needle... the loops didn't match each other on the same row so I undid everything -_- all before the yarn package and mom locking her set of keys inside her room so she couldn't go to massage therapy today and then destroying her door handle to retrieve them. Deciding what to order and then waiting for delivery induced more anxiety than it should've. I haven't been sleeping well for two weeks.

I don't like being told what to do or want one of those "peopley" or office jobs either but it looks like I'll have to try at least waiting tables with my Bachelors in Studio (Fine) Arts sigh to build up resume (maybe I should've been one of those shallow money-chasers that took up business and finance to learn nothing but at least corporations think they look acceptable on paper + will pay them more over their Art or English majors). All the jobs people seem to offer require customer service experience. And the ones that give you that experience want you to also have it as a prerequisite...
I have no income and haven't done paid volunteering since my preteens which I can't include on my resume because 1, that's more than a decade ago 2, it's one of those pay off paper things like mowing the lawn or babysitting except it was a naturalized citizenship interview cram school including making audio cassettes for distribution. They wanted my voice because the people running the company had pronunciation flaws. I can't refer these people because their company earns so little so they're trying to avoid taxes, I don't know if they're even still a thing, that and my age then.. I am surprised I still have some birthday money to play with. There's no way it'd last if I was living alone so I am super guilty of being a burden on my mother especially when we're poor. I know where your coming from. I haven't worked in over 12 years because I was raising my daughter and homeschooling her. It makes it difficult to fill out an application because you can't really explain the long lapse between jobs on one of those dang forms. They probably figure I was in jail that whole time! It is really hard to look back and try to remember dates and everything. The whole process is frustrating and works my last good nerve. sigh

Just logged on. Anybody know how to get the new challenger and what the loot drops are, if it's worthwhile? Sorry, haven't had time to check forums or read all the comments, just got home from work. Never had time to finish fighting the last new challenger. (still have hair coupons for sale) :)

Hello my lovelies. 💕 Sorry I've been such a stranger on here. RL has been kicking my ass the last several months.

My co-worker went on 'stress leave' the beginning of June just as we had several BIG changes happen at work; ONE- a new Mess Manager (my immediate boss) who was still learning the job; TWO- a new computer program for Mess Dues that's changed how we do everything (it's really complicated & we only received 3 days rushed training on it); THREE- the Mess amalgamated (they incorporated four messes into one) AND to top it all off it's the busiest posting season we've had in the 8 years I've been there. I've been run ragged.

I'm usually permanent part time but they've got me working temporary full time- with no extra pay or benefits. Since I'm 'acting' Admin Assistant vice office assistant they told me they are going to be giving me everything that goes with that job but they are dicking me around about it. It's very frustrating for me at this point. Especially as the F/T person is sitting home, babysitting her grandkids (which I suspect was her 'real' reason for all this- her daughter was sent away on a course at the last minute and her hubby's a shift worker so they needed someone to watch the kids). The sad thing is she's still getting paid $4 more an hour than me with full benefits to sit at home while I'm working like a mad woman doing her job and mine. Sorry, hate being negative but this has just been eating at me. Anyway, thanks for letting me vent! :)

Hey Hun- so sorry I haven't been in touch. How did Emily's graduation go? Wishing you all the best in finding work. It's always bothered me that real life experience isn't taken into consideration on job applications. You too -I haven't worked in my trade for years so I feel you there.
