I booked marked https://subeta.net/subetapedia/index.php?act=ventry&id=141
to help remember the dates; although, they haven't updated it to reflect the changes Laurey mentioned.
Survival is when I met most of the gang here :) I actually thought the shark group was a reference to the shark skin (yes, I now know it was a snow event where a snow shark was made).
I was hoping to put saloon doors in the background; however, I could not find any :S Almost makes me want to draw some. I read though that it costs a fee to make CW submission so I'm not sure I would. Then there's finding a program that would work with the parameters required... it could become a headache.
There are a lot of rules about making CWS and specific ways they want items (and even item images) to look. I don't understand any of it. I just leave it up to the artists, I had a couple of items that had to be tweaked a couple of times before they were accepted. It was nerve wrecking! It can run into a lot of money if you pay an artist and then pay the fee to submit it. Here is the info: https://subeta.net/explore/custom_clothing.php
I read that, but they don't mention what the fee is & what programs to use etc.
The fee depends on what item you want to submit. Smaller items like accessories cost less than a full bg. I am not sure there is a specific program. It just has to be a certain style and fit in with the Subeta art style. I will see if I can find a pricing list.
*just found that if you go to that page and click on Type of Item you get a drop down menu that show you prices.
Good to know. I'd have to save up a lot to be able to submit. Most likely won't try for a few years.
I haven't been able to submit anything new in a really long time :( I actually miss it! I am always coming up with new ideas. If I could actually draw, then I might be able to submit at least a few things. Having to pay an artist just adds up too fast.
No promises, but if I ever figure out how to work with the system and use a program, I could do the drawings. I wouldn't even try to tackle it for many months though. Just too ill & trying to deal with RL.
No worries Hun :) it would still be too much for me to pay any time soon. Maybe someday...:)
It's annoying, I have the knowledge to draw saloon doors but learning a new program, trying to do all the parameters, etc. is too stressful. So, I'll just have to content myself with what's out there for now :P I could draw a lot of interesting stuff... it's just dealing with the rest that's the headache ;)
I tried just playing around with the base in my useless paint shop and it was just awful lol. My poor HA looked terrible! Hopefully you can figure it out. I had a lot of fun coming up with dress ideas. You might enjoy doing it just for your own enjoyment if nothing else.
Working with colours, like changing hair or bases, comes naturally to me. My grandma was an artist & encouraged us all to be creative. mmm eyes closing better try to rest soon, almost 4am
- thanks - hope I'm done with that for another several years. Now just scrambling to catch back up with everything (real life and Subeta too). :-)
- congratulations on a full year of Subeta. Hope you are also feeling better now.
- maybe he will be able to earn a raise once he gets back from deployment. Meanwhile, as you say, he's doing actual electrical work and not sitting around the house.
Sounds like your upstairs rooms are chilly. Maybe you need to work on rearranging the vents in your house. I know that can make a big difference depending. Good luck finding a way to make them more comfortable for you.
How's your big puppy doing?
Hmm, I thought there might have been a saloon door backdrop, but I couldn't find anything either.
I did find a few things that might work instead though, kind of saloon/bar-ish.
- Layered in front of something else maybe - Layered together
Not exactly what you were looking for, but some similar ideas kind of.
thanks for the ideas :) I would have thought there would have been more cowboy/saloon items; however, it gives opportunities for others to make things.
The box is back :D
still sick. too weak to go food bank; however, I have enough provisions to last the week as long as I manage to cook some soup and/or rice.
- I could swear I've seen saloon doors - maybe a foreground or something and not a backdrop.
- hope you feel better soon.
I hope you were able to get some rest :)
Playing catch up is never fun. I always manage to forget things lol.
Hey and Hi everyone!
I had a look through the foreground items as well and found nothing there either, unfortunately. Maybe it was a CW or something that we're thinking of, I don't know.
It may be worth suggesting something like that though for staff to do, or more western themed backdrops or other items in general. Since we don't seem to have a whole lot on the site right now. I think cowboy hats and such are another thing with limited options on here.
Western lady outfits, cowboys & natives, cowgirls, some inexpensive cool looking guns (the revolver I liked is super expensive because it's also a battle item), train tracks with a damsel in distress, saloon doors!!! Yep, we need the staff to getty em up some new items yeah ha :D
Which item is it? There are some gun items in the Battle Shop that could be kind of western-y.
But yeah, I remember a while back I was looking to make a themed outfit with a cowboy hat and boots and stuff, but I ended up not doing it because I couldn't find anything I liked enough. ;~;
It looks a bit more like a lady's gun, with my lilac dress it would have been nice.
I managed to sleep a few hours. I changed part of the bed, the basic sheets :D I've been stuck in bed all week so waiting 2 weeks to have the bed changed is too long. The pillows, duvet covers, and the like are not done but at least I have a bit fresher bed. I think I had spouts of fever here and there too, so not good.
