haha and you could've told me yesterday :P ooh that'd be neat. thanks <3 ah yarn bowl is good. I have a migraine so stayed home from the first visit. Will go see mum after dinner.
Mum's doing so much better. She's getting better food now for starters. She wasn't eating much because the food was too cold and dry. Yesterday we brought her food. They got it sorted today so that's helpful. Mum was gonna come home but they decided to keep her till tomorrow because the doc put the wrong code in and it looks like she's had oxygen before when she hasn't. Still she doesn't sound sad. I didn't go today because I had a bad migraine.
Yeah, yawn bowls are super nifty... so I am glad to finally have one! At such a good price too.. only a lil over 4usd. :)
Happy to hear your mum is doing so much better! :) Hospital food is never the most appealing, glad they got that sorted too and the oxygen. I bet she is excited to be able to go home. :)
Was a long day here yesterday, even tho nice. Celebrating our indepence day. Watched the kids march in the parades etc etc. lol

that's a great price! she was but they changed the plans on her. ooh cool. sounds like fun
that definitely sounds like it was a good day, especially with the weather being just warm enough :D
true :P I've got to make myself a new mat for the sewing machine to sit on (this one came with an extension table, so the mat needs to be longer than I made originally), so that'll be a good excuse to try it out tomorrow :D
That's good that she's doing better - and getting decent food too! :) Hopefully she'll continue making progress so they'll feel she can be home soon :)

there you go :D making one for the machine will be good practice :D only she was complaining this morning about her new meals so -shrugs- not sure if it's her being fussy or what.
nods I'm thinking of trying to quilt it rather than just doing a one-piece mat like I did before, so that'll be even more practise ;) :D
Maybe it's just the choice they had for that meal that wasn't quite so appetising? Our hospitals seem to do a lot of spicy food - never really understood that o.O

ooh fun :D Idk. she's a little out of it with medication and she thinks she's talking perfectly clear so its hard to know what is really happening.
ah, that would definitely make it challenging!
[edit] I tried out the sewing machine today :D Sparky isn't too sure about the quieter sound (he mimics the old machine :P), but I managed to get his new cloth sorted (literally just needed hemming), I quilted a mat to protect the table when I use the machine, hemmed what will possibly be a tablecloth (although that wasn't quite as successful), and hemmed some fleece that Mum wanted to have as a blanket when she watches tv in the winter :P I did try sewing with just the start/stop buttons rather than the foot pedal, but that seemed really weird :P :P

Really cute to look at as well, so I am pleased with them. ^_^
:huggles: Hopefully the rehab centre will help her a lot. :)
Thank you soo much for the wiz tokens! :D
:nods: You never know... if you are really unlucky you get snow for the day. :P Very rare in this part of the country, but further north... :P

you're welcome! :D hehe that sounds crazier than our weather! The latest we can get snow tends to be the first week of April, although possibly they can get some in late April up in Scotland ;)

Today's just been one big ball of stress. I was gonna stay home this morning because I have a migraine but mum calls crying. Apparently, the rehab doesn't have someone to receive patients on the weekend and they thought she could go since they'd already signed all the paperwork. So mum was upset and we went to sort that out. She's still having to wait till Monday to go there. We decided to give her our gift a little early. Got her a colouring book, some coloured pens, and three puzzle books to keep her spirits up. We were gonna give them to her at the rehab but changed our minds since she was down. It's been a tough day to be honest.
awww, they sound about as organised as our NHS departments over here! :K I hope the weekend goes quickly for her, and the move goes smoothly tomorrow, so she can get sorted with the rehab she needs squishes
I love the outfit today, what's the stars & swirls you've used?

That is one reason why I am content living in the southwestern part of the country (or east/oslo ). the climate is more agreable. :P
Aww, that does sound like a rough day. I hope the thoughtful gifts cheered her up a bit. :huggles:
Not much happening here today other than melting in this warm weather and doing some housechores. :P

yeah. ugh today... I had a migraine, dad was at church and I had to go fetch mum. They decided to let her go home. On my way, they said no... so I was on the phone raising hell and long story short, she's home. Didn't get her home till about 6... just so tired I have not much engery to bother with anything really.
& are the items I used for/with stars. Loving the purples here today.
lol read above today was just as "fun" -hands you a fan-
yeah, I can imagine it's a lot more challenging living in the north! ;)
that sounds one heck of a stressful day! Hospitals seem to like confusing people when one person says one thing, then the next minute someone else from there says something that contradicts the first :K But hopefully you all had a reasonably good night?
That's a great combination - I wondered if it was a tiny amabassador that you'd used, but it worked so well with the others, I didn't know for certain! ;) Thanks :) I was a bit stuck for ideas, so I thought I'd just use my newest items :P

Never fun having to deal with stuff like that. >_< Will she be going to the rehab centre soon then? Or is she back home to stay? :)
Would not be for me, that much I know. :P

yeah it was difficult for sure.
we did.
thanks. Hehe I love those starts.
ooh loving today's ha.
I was still pretty busy today but hopefully the stress will calm down.
oh no, they never move you from home to a rehab so home now. had a lot to do again but I think we're starting to get into the groove.
One year I'd love to be either in north wales or scotland for part of winter, just to experience the amount of snow they normally get.... but then to be able to come back to my normal location afterwards - I wouldn't want to live there permanently! :P
That's good that you had a good night - how's your Mum getting on today? I love the outfit you've got today, what's the waterfall / pool?

Today had some challenges, mostly do to dad not quite doing the right things, but its our first full day as caregivers so I guess I can't say anything. I made a mistake or two as well. But she's in good spirits, much more awake and alert and doing well with moving around so I think well. Oh thank you :) I was gifted that item today. It's I love the star jumper today the bg works surprisingly well especially with the cut out
That's good that she's more awake & alert :D And I guess the harder you try, the more likely it is that you (and your dad) will get things wrong - I mean the whole thing was unexpected for her to be sent home that day anyway, so it's not like you had much time to prepare anything (or yourselves)! I hadn't realised the pool was part of the same item! flings that onto my wishlist to remind me to buy it
Thanks :D I thought the bg needed a cutout, as it didn't look quite right on its own ;)
