I was thinking that'd be a CW sweater - I hadn't recognised it as a Vanity one! Thanks :D We've got some 'almost-summer' weather so I thought Niamh deserved a trip to the beach ;) :D The hat (and the second phone case) came from the same fat quarter pack, so I knew there'd be a suitable contrast fabric (I think it was 5 fat quarters in that pack), which was handy because I never normally have something that would work for a contrast in my stash :P The rain cloud fabric is a nightmare to take a photo of - it's quite a vivid orangey red, and my phone isn't too keen on taking an accurate photo :P
I love the outfit today, that swing background works really well with the body mod top :D

It does have a cw-y vibe.
Oh nice :D
I like those packs :D I got one for mum's quilted tool holder thingamabob.
lol gotta love finicky fabric
Why thank you :D -giggles- I wanted a jungle gym/monkey bars but nodda
I need to make the most of the forecast hot temperatures over the weekend, and get the photos done of the dress & shorts I made.... going on the forecast, there's only three or four days of hot weather before it gets wet & colder again :P laughs I love the description ;) I was amazed I could get a cap and a phone case out of one and a half fat quarters (well, the cap lining was from an offcut of the foxes I used to line my blue coat :P) - I was sure the cap would take more fabric than that! At least I don't need fancy photos of the raincloud fabric - as long as once it's finished you can tell it's a coat, that's good enough for my blog :P
Maybe that's an idea to commission for a CW at some point - monkey bars would be an awesome background :D

:nods: its sure is if you have to carry it around your neck for very long! :P
Love everything you have made! I am sure he will love the magic fabric, very cool! :D
Thanks, I hope so too. :P I didnt get to go the match, but we won so thats good. :D
I have no idea to be honest, its just something I heard watching Rachael Ray. I be curious to test it too. I would def. try maybe with just one first to see how it goes. :)

I can imagine! And if you have a long lens on it, that'd end up even heavier! ;)
:D I've got my little shopping list for sewing projects - I have to get a zip for K's coat, and I also need a zip for a new project I'm making after that (they're sending me the fabric for free, as a product testing blog post thing :D).... it's guaranteed I'll still end up forgetting something :P
The magic fabric should be a lot clearer to see in real life than on the photo, but I'm not going to tell him it's a magic one.... I want to see if they notice when they go out in the rain 😇

Oh that magic fabric is so cool! I need that in my life! :D How well does the magic parts wash - or does it fade after many washings? Also I love that you make your mom guess what you give her - that is fun! :D That had with the critters looks so cute !!! I love that cute bag you made too! :D
You are tempting me to tell you all my secrets. LOL OK they are not secrets. I have in the works a mini horse statue, a vase of flowers, and I am trying to get a tiny dragon on there too somehow. lol I've also been asked about birds/chickens so have that sketched out too.
Oh interesting - I'll have to see if I can get it to work. If I get a succulent I'll have to let you know how it goes.

I really really extremely want:Absolutely no idea on the washing - I think you're meant to not wash it all that often, but I didn't get any information with the fabric on how to look after it or anything like that!

Gotta love England’s weather lol. Good luck with the photos :) Yeah that’s amazing to get so much out of a small piece of fabric! Gotta love being able to use all that lovely fabric for other things :D Haha there’s nothing I can say to that. Might be an idea :D
aww I’m sorry you sounded so excited. –snuggles-
I’m wilily like that lmao. Sounds like you’ve got some amazing things going
Oh well that could be bad if you wash it and all the magic goes away. :(
Yes, lots of ideas and so little time to make them. lol

I really really extremely want:Jovy looks pretty dashing today, is he off somewhere special? :D laughs and just when I thought we were due for a few days of dry hot weather, they're now forecasting heavy rain and thunderstorms for tomorrow o.O Mum was keen on having a matching phone case, so I had to be creative with the placing of the pattern to make sure I'd left a suitably sized piece after making the hat ;) :D
I'm hoping that by the time the magic wears off, he'll have outgrown the coat anyway laughs He'll be 5 in March, but I'm making an age 6 so he can wear it over a sweater this winter, then without a sweater next year once he's grown a bit more ;)

@ Ambition Please do, as I be very interested to know how it works out. :D
@ Raven Yeah, but there will be many more matches, season does not end until early november, so. :)
@ Paddy Hehe. I dont have any lenses for it (not even sure if I could get that for it now- its a bit old now lol). but yup- that sounds like a nightmare. :P
What is it that you are making for the blog post? :D I have a list of stuff I am knitting and crocheting. :P I have the mittens, blanket, shawl (with the yarn you gifted me) and slippers for mum. :)
Hehe.. I like the idea of not telling them and finding out for themselves. :D I am sure K will think its really fun!

I think that most newer lenses would work on an older SLR, although you might need a converter ring thing to attach some of them ;) I'm not 100% certain though ;)
I'm hoping to make a summer weight showerproof jacket for the blog post - I've made one jacket from that pattern already, but that's more of a winter weight, so I figured I could do with a summery jacket as well ;) I got K's Christmas coat finished today, so I'm all ready for when the fabric arrives laughs
^^ K's finished Christmas present :D Annoyingly challenging to get a decent photo of it though!
How do you get on with knitting and crocheting in the summer? I always found it was too warm to hold the yarn, especially if it was a larger project that I had to put on my lap 😊

thank you. Mhm, we are finally doing his wedding lol so I decided to plop him in his garb once again ^.^ oh dear hope it stays storm free when you want to take the photos. it worked out perfectly :D Niamh looks cute today, all starry :D K's jacket looks amazing :D
-snugs- this is true and glad your team won
laughs I hope he doesn't forget what to say ;) Yeah, dry and sunny would be good! ;) Thanks :D I finally got enough blue building points for the background ;) :D Thanks :D I've got it wrapped up in tissue paper, so all I need to do in December is wrap it in Christmas wrapping paper, and post it :D

haha I wouldn't put it passed him :D hehe congrats :D Feels good doesn't it? I have two things for you done already ^.^
laughs I hope he doesn't get too flustered ;) Whoa, and there I was thinking I was organised in having one thing done! 😊

Oh, that will be clever and super nice so he can wear it longer! I love that coat for Christmas too! You are SO prepared. I have nothing for Christmas yet!

I really really extremely want:
It's been a hellish day to be honest. At 3am Nigel was sick and wouldn't take a cat treat... and just before I went to bed, I discovered blood on the carpets and figured Baxter might have ruptured a scent gland again. It took me ages to get to sleep. When I got up my back was screaming and I felt blah. I did the biggest fish tank cleaning at around 3pm Nigel was sick again. So I called the vet and asked about both cats. this led to going to the er vet since the vet was about to close. We got there around 5 and finally got home around 9pm. I'm stressed and tired. Ultimately they found Baxter had a burst scent gland and the hole was large. He had to get sedated and given stitches as well as antibiotics and meds. Nigel got fluids in his neck anti nauseous medication. It was incredibly expensive at $700.59. Hopefully both cats will rebound fast. They think Nigel might have licked Baxter and the blood made him sick.
But because of this we won't be going on my birthday outing either. At least not right away. Maybe in a fortnight.
Paddy: he managed :D hehe :D
that's an awesome outfit today, what's the top you've used? (looks like it's covered with strawberries maybe?) hehe I figured I was better off making it too big - I only get told a rough idea of sizing, so I try to go bigger just to be on the safe side! ;)
And I love the hot air balloon HA-less HA today! :D Aww that sounds like a nightmare of a day, and an equally nightmare cost!! That stinks on the birthday outing being delayed, but maybe that'll make it even better when you can go squishes How are Nigel and Baxter doing today?
