yeah another busy day today as well. Nigel mangled two of my ponytail palms. So I went to Pike's and bought another one. Then went to Petco and bought fish. I got 4 more guppies and a new honey gourami. So now I have 11 fish. If these do well, next week I'll get another 4 or 5 depending on what I pick. Tomorrow I'm not sure what our plans are but Mum has a knee replacement surgery coming on Monday, so that's one of the reasons for being busy. I do need to make her mother's day gift too. guess that's tonight or tomorrow.

I found a book she has been wanting and bought another book I know she will like too. Got lucky with a nice sale, so I am pleased. xD Didnt get anything exciting for myself. lol

😮 whoa, that's quite a 'hair cut' for that plant! At least it's not one that's harmful to cats if they do nibble it though squishes

thank you. one of the fish is missing o.0 I'm totally at a loss as to what happened I took everythign and moved it around, but noda. no idea. I rearranged everything as well because I did have a fish fight. Not sure who but thee guppies have nipped fins so we susspect dominance fight -shurgs-. Today has been so long. I went to Pikes, got a rose bush for mum for Mother's day. Dad didn't want to go yesterday and he didn't have time today. Kinda pissed he didn't give me the card to go buy it yesterday but...whatever. THen Joanns because I needed more stabiliser to make mum's chair caddy. UGH that thing was a pain in the ass and everythign that could go wrong did--like me cutting the wrong side of the zip off so having to unpick and find a new zip--putting bias tape on to fix one problem but it puckering and looking terrible. It took way longer than it needed to be. Started at 16.30-finished at 23.00 or something. Not happy with it but gave it to mum at midnight.

most are okay aside from the afformentioned. One of new fish is the missing one. I did check the floor but unless a cat swooped it up I'm confused... guppies don't burrow... I suppose if he died someone could've eaten him but really not sure o.0 Hippy Nimah looks like she's enjoying taking Paddy for a midnight romp ;) hehe. Cute ha.

Sounds like you had a long day. o-o Sounds weird with the fish, but is there is a chance it jumped out of the tank? I am pretty sure one of our fish did that.... Or that one of the kitties got to it? All I can think of.

Its been quite a day here. We got the message that my uncle passed today.. and celebrated mums bday. i think it helped a bit for her having kids and family around. but yeah. Its been a bitter sweet day. Sad, but nice to spend time with family.

I agree. :) Here you can always find strawberries from local farms during the summer, they really taste of summer. :) The strawberries they import the rest of the year is not as tasty. :)

It died. I kinda had a feeling it was but it just suddenly appeared. No idea where the body was o.0 She loves it! :D It's a bright pink. I had to have them put it in a trash bag yesterday cos it was so smelly haha. She liked it yes, said it was lovely. I think she's being kind. hehe. It looked that way. THank you. Its I snagged it for Zoe in the ts restock. o.0 Nigel just tried to get to the sheered Ponytail palm. He seems to be craving it. o.0

Sounds very strange! I guess your tank is different that ours were, part of the top on ours was open.

I think it's also down to how long the strawberries have been transported for - if they're chilled and transported from overseas, maybe they just lose their flavour.... or maybe those just don't have the same level of flavour in the first place, as they do if you grow them at home? ;) :P Happy birthday to your Mum, but sorry to hear about your Uncle squishes

so far yes. I'll do a check before I take the fish back and swap out. I expect I'll be at the hospital sometime this afternoon but I'm not sure when or for how long. well i did leave it outside, but I was the one who had to go buy the thign haha. I thought so too xD thanks :D friend of mind gifted me the balloons. xD well they are a fun texture and slightly crunchy according to some websites and that attracts them :/ I had to move the darn thing. oooh that foreground is PERFECT for the allotment bg! Nimah looks quite happy

:nods: They lose nutrition too.. which is not good. Which is why fruit and veggies always taste better if you can buy them from a local farmer. They say our climate is ideal for strawberries, so they get extra yummy. :) Cant wait until they start selling them. :)

Thanks. :squishes: Talked to my mum, and they had a very nice memorial service for him today. He lived in Thailand, so we were not able to get there. but his daughter and my uncle was there.

Mum's out of surgery and doing alright. Dad said she was groggy. We will go buy her some flowers soon and then go visit after dinner. I just got back in from taking the dead guppy back.

I hope there's loads available near you, and that you don't get too much rain (crtain over here too much rain makes the strawberries a bit mushy :P) That'd definitely be a long way to go! But that's good that some family were able to go squishes

Yes that would be nice. Things didnt go well after dad left. Mum stopped breathing. They got it under control but had to give her something to take all the pain meds off. She's in so much pain. I feel so bad. I think she'll be staying tomorrow but not sure. Looks like its a wait and see. see my update above.

eeep, that definitely doesn't sound good :( I hope they can get her more comfortable, and get the pain down to a tolerable level!
