hehe they don't - Niamh made that one herself ;) But as she said, if they make carrot cake, they should make carrot lollies (actually, in the Second World War, there were lots of carrots available as they were so easy to grow (and not rationed), so children were encouraged to eat a 'carrot on a stick' instead of ice lollies) ;)

I know just how messy birds can be. :P Would find feathers and bird seeds all over the place., in unexpeted places. :P Even long after we stopped having budgies. I can only imagine how messy and outside bath would be. :P

I found a budgie feather on the carpet in my bedroom earlier - right round the opposite side of the room to the door o.O At least feathers in my shoes aren't as bad as seed or grit.... those are painful to stand on! ;) If Sparky is a bit uncertain of something, I just sit on the stairs by his cage and chirp to him - that seems to be enough to get him confident enough to come over and try playing with whatever we'd put in the cage ;) (also worked when the chap next door was having work done, and they were using power tools that you could hear quite clearly in our house) ;)

I dunno, they showed a video of these kids busy munching on their 'carrot lollies' and they didn't look any less impressed than any of the other kids ;) I guess it was tastier than some of the other weird things they had, considering that even sweets were rationed ;) Thanks :D It's erm goes to check the name - I've had it a while (and the red one as well), but Niamh said it wasn't a suitable top for winter, so it's not been used much :P That's a super, 'simple yet stylish' look today (and I've forgotten that character's name again 😊), he always seems to look great without appearing to have to put much effort in ;)

I'm super happy. Went online and found the tank I just bought for over $24 cheaper. Went to Petsmart for a refund on the difference and found out that it was on an extra sale. So I got $38.80 back. I used it to buy my bubble wall, air pump and the rest of the plants I need to finish the tank. I only now need either rocks or a ship wreck. I think I'll have to get a new heater though as the one it came with only goes to 78 F and the fish I want like 81.

Thanks, I'm totally jazzed. I love getting sales and discounts. bubble wall (link) is literally a wall of bubbles. This is the type I got but i put mine under the gravel so it goes slower. Aeration is very beneficial to fish health and also helps give the water some extra movement.
Shipwreck is my top desire :)

OOOHhh that is what you meant. In my head I was thinking you got bubble-wrap for the wall or something!! LOL :P Yes, a shipwreck would be so amazing !! with some tiny baby jellyfish floating around near it too.

and it's always the smallest seeds that seem to most uncomfortable! ;) I think it's mostly curiosity that makes him come over, but we discovered today that he really doesn't like "big" flying insects (still smaller than him, but I'm not keen on flying insects like that either :P) so Dad had to catch the insect and put it outside so Sparky would settle down ;) (keep reading)

I finally got the skirt finished (all that top stitching!!), and the band hand stitched onto the jacket :D It's not the greatest backdrop (need to get the "decent" photos done outside, ideally), but here's a pic or two three.... ;) The pocket stitching isn't meant to be an exact match on both pockets 😇 ....strictly speaking, the jacket is a smart(ish) blazer, and the skirt is means to be made from denim, so they really don't go together in style, but they're made from the same fabric :P

Wow that is amazing!! I can't believe you made that - you are so good! I love (seriously love) that style of blazer as well, so of course it is a win win! ^^ Amazing job! I bet that color palate looks great on you too, right?

I also love the details on that skirt - the double stitching makes it look really cool. I used to own a skirt similar to that style only without pockets - pockets would have made it better though.

I remember FBI got a nasty 4 inch flying beetle in his cage and he went balistic. Poor thing, you could feel his heart beating like crazy and he was breathing just as hard as I was, rescuing him. He and I sat and waited for dad to come kill it 👼 Oooh smarmy looking power suit going on there. Is that velvet or denim? I can't tell. THey do look nice together even if they aren't meant to be a set.

blushes thanks!! :D I was able to choose the colour of the fabric (they sent it to me for product testing), so I couldn't resist picking purple laughs I was wondering if I should add in the pockets or not, but I thought the lilac would help break up all the deep purple - and the front pockets are a lilac kind of cut-out style (you can only see a hint of that in the first pic), so the back ones don't look out of place ;) The jacket 'only' took three test runs to get the sizing right.... and the skirt took two test runs (and a bit of fiddling with the final version just to get the waistband to sit properly) - that's the first time I've done test runs before making a proper item, as normally I just dive into the finished one :P

I can't blame FBI with that - those flying beetles you get look creepy! 😊 I just hope we don't get a house spider in Sparky's cage like we did with Sid before! I don't know Sparky would just sit there while Mum caught the spider like Sid did :P Thanks :D :D It's a linen/cotton mix (55% linen apparently) ;) so it's not smooth to the touch, but not quite as rough as you'd expect pure linen to be either ;) (and hopefully it won't crease as easily!)
