"Maybe you wanna come home with us, huh, Moonpie?" Jona cooed till the mooncalf and it perked its ears and looked at him with a familiar cocked expression. Jona replicated the wide eyes of the mooncalf, adding a pouted lip, and looked to Zoe. "Can we keep 'im, mom? Pweeeease?"
Zoe broke into a strained fit of giggles. She tried her best to be quiet. "I'm sure there's tons of animals inside we can buy. Maybe they have a stuffed animal, ye can have one of those, son, if ye behave."
"Aaaawwwww," Jona kicked at the ground, making the mooncalf look up in alarm. "Look! Moonpie doesn't wanna see me go. Don'tcha, buddy? Wanna come home with me? Huh?" The mooncalf made a gurgling noise that Jona interpreted as a purr. "That's a yes!" He got all excited and turned to to Zoe, but the expression on her face made him look back down at his shoes and mutter: "Or maybe it's a no."
She now had a slightly sad expression. "I'm sorry, but some animals are nee good pets. These guys are shy, only come out on full moons. Where could ye keep one? Its best to enjoy him now. He's better off here. Even on my moors, he'd nee be safe."
"Mmmm..." He took several more minutes looking at a petting the mooncalf. Eventually, he sighed loudly, making the mooncalf stir. "Let's go then. Bye, Moonpie." He waved with a sort of sadness and asked Zoe, "So, where d'you wanna go next?"
(and anyone else :) )
Drew laughed about the ‘Drew Wilder original’ and took the sketchbook from Magnus. “Oh it’ll be original alright,” he assured his friend.
He headed for the special enchanted building that housed the mooncalf, smiling at Poppy at the thought of seeing the creature inside. In his eagerness, he wound up slightly ahead of Poppy, who had had a hard time leaving the adorable crups. Drew waited at the door of the building for Poppy to join him, taking the time to mentally review what he knew about mooncalves. He would have no problem being quiet once he was inside, since Drew was used to being alone and quiet when he observed animals in the woods.
"Yeah, definitely." Magnus agreed.
Zoe felt bad but it was the truth. "We can go look at the crups, or the puffskiens?" She suggested. "I bet ye they sell the puffskiens. They sell those guys everywhere. Sorta like a ball of fur and it sings and purrs too."
As they left, Drew and Poppy entered. "Hey," she said to the pair in passing.
"Whichever is fine. Go ahead and surprise me." As they walked out, Jona literally bumped into Drew and mumbled an apology, still looking at his feet. Just as they were walking out the door, Jona turned back and in a loud whisper said, "You guys be nice to Moonpie! They're gonna live with me someday." He nodded his head matter-of-factly and followed Zoe out, blinking in what felt like blinding light. "Lead the way, Captain!"
Zoe smile a Jona's words. "There ye go, possitive thinking. Ye might have one after Hogwarts." She lead the way over to the puffskeins which were in a cascade of colours. "Wow they've got nearly every colour here. Aren't they cute?"
Niamh returned Drew's smile, as the Fwoopers finished the food she was holding for them. "They're incredible," replied to the boy she thought was Magnus, "although I think my cats would cause a problem if I wanted to get one myself. Good luck with the license though!" She heard Irwin explain that Magnus wasn't able to see the mooncalf, and was surprised when she heard him hint at the boy being a werewolf. She didn't want to risk saying the wrong thing, so rather than say anything, she gave him what she hoped was a sympathetic smile before moving on to the Puffskeins. "These look so strange," she said to Zoe and Jona, "but strangely cute," she added wondering if the Puffskeins were as soft to touch as they appeared.

“You’re very welcome! You two () can get the exclusive first screening once we’re back at school,” Poppy grinned. She was relieved that Magnus () was occupied with his potential Crup ownership. He was softhearted and sensitive, and she didn’t want him to feel left out or ashamed about not being able to go inside. Poppy then made a mental note to show her parents the recording. She had never shot anything outside of Quidditch matches and the field trip was proving to be memorable.
“You have a natural affinity with them . They’ve really taken a liking to you,” Poppy beamed at the sight of the Crups clamoring for the Gryffindor’s attention. “I’ll see you in the Mooncalf habitat,” she said with a wave and a final glance at the sight of her peer surrounded by happy Crups.
Poppy caught up to Drew after giving the tiny Crup a series of “one last pats,” and returned Zoe’s greeting as the other Head Girl left the Mooncalf with Jona (). “See you back out there Zoe. I love your knitting project bag. We should do it together sometime if you’d like,” she added shyly, in what she hoped was a gentle and friendly manner. “Jona, today has been the best huh? Give the Crups a big hug from me.”

Lysandra liked all of the mentioned magical beings yet the Kneazles were her favs and far and away the best of the horde. Quickly, she walked over to the compound, decreasing the pace when arriving before the entrance so the cat-like creatures woudn´t be frightened.
Thankfully, there were several ones in the enclosure. Lysandra often heard people telling her that cats and cat-likes beings are loners but she knew that was wrong. They were no pack animals yet they needed social contacts very much. Bigger groups mostly lived in matriarchy yet very often, you encounter a group were all beings enjoyed equal rights.
Lysandra stood still and with a soft voice, she began talking to the group who gave her the once-over and then looked uninterested. Too many visiteos each day perhaps, the part-Fae thought. She sat down on a settle and waited, patient, sending out positive thoughts.

As Zoe gave him a quick hello, Drew offered a smile and said quietly, “Hi, Zoe. See you later.”
He started forward only to be smacked into by Jona. Putting out a hand to steady both of them, he nodded at the little boy’s apology. “It’s alright. You eyes haven’t adjusted back yet. But they aren’t quite as big as a mooncalf’s,” he teased. As Jona moved away and called back to them, Drew looked over his shoulder and then at Poppy. “Moonpie??” he chuckled. “Well it’s a good name. I can’t wait to see this one.”
Entering the dim interior, Drew waited a moment for his eyes to adjust and then looked around. It was amazing! If he hadn’t known he was inside a building, he could have readily believed he was on a hillside at night. The light of the full moon illuminated the area perfectly and there were even a few stars visible around the edges and corners of the ‘sky’. Near a rail fence stood a feeding station and Moonpie. Drew grinned. The odd little critter was adorable from its long neck to its wide eyes. Now what to do first…sketch for Magnus or feed the mooncalf and enjoy playing with it? He saw Paddy had opted to sketch first, but cuteness won out and Drew went to get some feed. He moved slowly and quietly, but the mooncalf saw what he was doing and made a little noise, coming closer.
“Uh huh, you know about food and petting don’t you, little Moonpie?” Drew said softly. He held out the food and chuckled softly as the long neck stretched out and the creature slurped up a mouthful of the feed. Having grown up in the country, Drew realized that the calf part of the creature’s name was apt…his hand was sticky with slobber now just as it always had been when he handfed calves. But Drew didn’t mind in the least. He reached out to pet the mooncalf, humming softly as he played with the animal.
“I ‘ave a cat too, but I got one bird already and Kippers don’t mess with her,” Magnus said “thanks though. I really want one. I’m Magnus by the way. What was your name again?”
“Irwin made the test sound pretty easy. You wanting one huh?” His eyes flashed with an idea. While Paddy when in to see the mooncalf, Magnus slipped Irwin five galleons. “The girl with fur, ‘er name is Paddy. This is for her licence for the crup. When she passes and I’m sure she will, ‘eres the 13 galleons for ‘er to pick one out. Late Christmas pressie and all.”
Magnus giggled at Poppy. “You sound like a famous movie director,” he said. “Exclusive screening. I like it.”
Zoe smiled. “Oh thank ye. Yes please. I’d like that a lot.” Having another friend would be wonderful. “Mhm, later Drew. Enjoy the mooncalf guys, he’s really sweet.”
Zoe smiled at Nimah. “Hi, oh yes, funny little things,” she said and plopped one in Nimah’s hand. “Cute though.”
Jona waved them off and hoped that Moonpie enjoyed their company, but not more than it had enjoyed his own company, of course.
"They look like cotton candy!" Jona was happy that he no longer had to tame his wild nature, since the pygmy puffs seemed less skiddish. "But...how do I, like, handle them?"
"Like this," Zoe scooped her hand under one and plopped the puff into Jona's hands. "Think of 'em like a hamster with lots of fur and a little face." Some of the faces were more visible than others.
"You'll be the first one at the world premiere in that case," Poppy joked with Magnus (). He was lively and purposeful, content to be around creatures in such a natural, warm setting.
Poppy quietly nodded at Zoe, hoping her warm expression conveyed her wish to get to know the fellow Head Girl better as well.
She entered through the doorway and gave Drew () a thumbs up in agreement and grinned at him. Leave it to cutie pie Jona () to nickname a magical creature after a snack. The bright moonlight filled the space and illuminated everything within the building in an ethereal glow. Poppy waved silently to who was sketching diligently. She shot some gorgeous footage of Drew feeding the Mooncalf. He really had a way with creatures, and she wished she bonded as easily as he did with them. Satisfied, Poppy approached the creature timidly and put out her hand near its head, giving it the chance to smell her and become accustomed.
(OOC: Poppy will meet Lysandra once she leaves the Mooncalf's area. 😊)

((OOC: He is a cutie pie, isn't he?? Lol ))
When Zoe dropped the pygmy puff into Jona's open hands, he took a quick intake of air. Standing erect and making zero noise, Jona continued to look down at the little fluff ball - his bangs covered his face from Zoe's view. "It's so...so....soooooo cuuuuuuuute!" He flicked his face up at Zoe's, eyes glistening with wonder and excitement. Scooping up two more in his hands, Jona rubbed his cheeks against them and held them up to Zoe, not unlike the iconic Lion King pose. "Zoe - meet Bob and Joe Bob and Billy Joe Bob. Be especially nice to Billy Joe Bob, he has a name complex."
"Excellent," Magnus said smiling at Poppy. She was an easy girl to like.
Zoe looked forward to hanging out with the other head girl. The idea of a friend to sit and knit with was very exciting.
Jona's typical innocent exuberance was incredibly endearing and Zoe smiled and then laughed as he did the Lion King pose. "Well hello ye all." She petted the three puffs. "Shall ye be wanting one?"
As Poppy moved over visit with the mooncalf, Drew smiled and for a few minutes they both petted the shy creature. Then Drew whispered to the mooncalf, “I’m just going to leave you to enjoy playing with Poppy and move over here.” He gave the mooncalf a last stroke down its long neck, illicting a happy gurgle from the creature. Then he slowly eased backward and over to the side. Sitting down cross legged on the floor, he took out Magnus’ sketchbook and began to attempt a drawing of the mooncalf. He managed to get a rounded head and long neck with huge circles for eyes done, but the body and webbed feet were harder. It didn’t help matters that his eyes kept going to Poppy rather than his sketch subject. Drew couldn’t help it. Poppy was so pretty and had such a sweet personality too. He was glad it wasn’t light enough for anyone to see him blushing and turned his attention back to the paper and his sketch.
