"Okay, I'll apologise for snipping at him. Maybe we can make him something in the kitchens. Show him we care?" She ordered more tea. "This is nice."

Merlin was thoughtful. "Maybe a chocolate cake, nothing says I love you more than chocolate." Merlin smiled and kissed her nose. "You are my beautiful rainbow and you have a big heart, surely Drew will come to realize it." They drink tea with biscuits and fruit until full. "I know you just arrived but surely you'll find good friends, oh did you saw Terry? You know her and she likes you, you two can hang a little. I know you would want to have other friends too. There are many nice girls you can befriend."

"Great idea!" She giggled at her nose being kissed. "You're sweet. I really want us to be friends. I was scared to meet him. She patted her full tummy. "Yeah I could use some female friends. Surely you wanna hang with just the boys too."

Drew paused as Magnus () caught him by the arm. He sighed and took a deep breath at Magnus’ plea. There was pretty much no way he could deny his friend. He loved Magnus like a brother and didn’t want to do anything to hurt him. Drew was still formulating an answer when everything fell apart around him yet again.

He watched as Poppy () left and felt his heart sink. The look on her face and the ones on Sauvage (sauvage) and Fade’s (Cheshire) before they too hurriedly left spoke volumes.

And then Merlin () appeared. Drew was about to ask where he’d been when the other boy made it plain that he was all about River and her company now. Well fine, Drew thought to himself. Don’t even give anyone a chance to say hi or anything else then. He for sure wasn’t going trotting after just to speak and hope for a scrap of conversation. Who needed this crap anyway? Drew thought to himself. He had other things to do.

He turned back to finally have a chance to talk to Magnus only to find that the other boy had apparently changed his mind about wanting Drew around. He watched in shock as Magnus left. Then shaking his head, Drew said to Dodger, “Forget it, Dodge. I’m done. Let’s go.” He headed back toward the castle, taking a roundabout way to avoid anyone else. He was grateful when he reached the dungeons again and slipped into the Slytherin common room. From there he made his way to his room and flopped on his bed, curling into a ball. Dodger hopped up beside him and whined as he nosed his master. Slipping an arm around his loyal companion, Drew held the dog close and closed his eyes, hoping that if he could spend some time in sleep the nightmare would be over when he awoke.

((ooc sorry about the late post. We had no power all day due to snow and by the time I got on there was really nothing left to do but have Drew leave. The rp's move too quick for me these days as I don't have as much time online))

Marcia nodded in reply to Zoe in response to her thanks before looking over the newcomer, Hollynd, quickly.

"Welcome," Marcia offered. "I'm Marcia, it's a pleasure."

She laughed quietly at the girl's comment before replying, "Please don't feel underdressed. I don't look nearly as done up as some of these other girls, so you're absolutely fine. You look great." She gave a small smile.

Students slowly filled the great hall as their classes ended for the day. Many were wondering what was for the evening meal.

"Eh, dressing like this is my hobby," says Callista. "It's not for everyone. But that fox sweater is super cute, and I've seen you reading fashion magazines."

"Yes, she's a cat of African origin." Callista laughs as Sabrina headbutts her face. "You were at Ilvermorny, right? Tiferet, the Israeli girl, had one. They've been kept as pets in Egyptian wizarding families for thousands of years, and in America they have them domesticated for several generations as well, but they're still pretty wild. She's friendly enough, but she is really a one-person cat. So after I went to the trouble to get one, I had to bring her with me."

Callista laughs again. "You look fine, I just said so."

"I guess it's time to go in. No time to change for dinner, but I guess I'm still presentable." Callista pulls a bottle of hand sanitising potion out of her bag and quickly applies it, running along with the other girls into the Hall toward the Slytherin table.

"Zoe--let's talk more after supper? I know you'll have to go eat with your House."

Zoe smiled at Sabrina but shook her head. "No, I didn't go to Ilvermorny. I had to stay here and take my OWLS. She's gorgeous though. A real gem." When it was time to head off she nodded to Callista (()). "Okay, do you mind if Jona (()) comes too? He's my friend."

Magnus was sitting at the Ravenclaw table eating a bit of roast beef. He looked exhausted and still gaunt from the moon cycle. He left his pets up in the dorm and it was a good thing because the boy was struggling to stay awake to eat his meal.

River arrived early, went to the Slytherin table and set a box there. It had a rainbow card on it what said : DREW on it. () Inside the box was a chocolate cake she and Merlin made (()) the note card said. "I'm sorry I snapped. Merlin and I made this for you. He really misses you." She left it on the table and went over to the Gryffindor table. Her mini Griffin, Quinn, was with her. The griffin was siting on her shoulder looking like she'd like to eat.

"I don't mind, if you don't think he'll get bored listening to us talking about clothing and stuff?" Callista says. "Some boys find that stuff interesting, some don't."

She sits with Lenore, Elizabeth, Hollynd and Marcia. She's not very hungry, given that she had all that fried fish for lunch, but maybe she'll change her mind when she sees all the food. She does discreetly pass Hollynd a note,

Italian Vogue? Mamma reads it too, I get it after her. I've got Japanese Vogue also, if you want to lend magazines back and forth. I have KERA and the Gothic and Lolita Bibles too, but I'm not sure you'd be interested in those. Witch Weekly just doesn't do it in the fashion coverage department.

I know half the school probably thinks I got this dress in Diagon Alley, but it actually came from Angelic Pretty in Tokyo. You should come have tea on Sunday. I like bringing snacks and tea to the common room every Sunday and having a little fashionista club meeting of sorts.

"Well, I'm nee sure I am yet either," Zoe said honestly. She smiled however, "but I'm willing to try."

Zoe came into the great hall with her grey long haired cat following behind her. She waved to Callista as she headed for the Ravenclaw table.

Merlin entered the dining hall and spot Magnus looking tired. "Hey Mag, guess what? I did this potion for you so you gather strength faster. Mom taught me how to donit and I used the ingredients she gave me. I hate seeing you down. I'm sorry I left before, I'm just sad and can't understand why Drew hates River. I miss him but he can only focus on disliking my girl and I can't abandon her. She is alone here and getting to know people; she needs me and I hope Drew will accept her. Do you mind if I sit with you? I know we are not in the same house but..." He shrugged. "I made a cake with River to try fix things with him, hope he doesn't get angrier."

Magnus looked up and smiled. "Ey Merls. Aww thanks. I appreciate it." He took the potion. He waved off the apology. "Don't worry. I ain't mad. River don't got anyone 'ere except us two. I hope Drew accepts 'er soon. I want us all together. I've got a lot going on and... well I need all me friends. Of course you can sit 'ere."

He sat down at the Hufflepuff table, noticing that no one else of his house had arrived yet, so he just ordered some tomato soup to sip on diligently. Catching sight of Zoe (@/Raven), he waved at her from behind his soup bowl and smiling energetically.

Zoe waved back and smiled warmly. He didn't look to bad, which made her happy. She'd been worried about him,

Marcia laughed, "Oh, I know, but your outfits still put me to shame. I feel inclined to care more about fashion since I come from a wealthy family and appearances are everything, but I just can't find much interest in it." She said with a shrug, pronouncing "appearances are everything" in a sarcastic, playful way. "Perhaps my mother has just been showing me the wrong stores all these years." She laughed.

She followed the other students into the Great Hall and took a seat with her peers at the Slytherin table. It feels like they had only just started the picinic. She wasn't even sure if she could eat again so soon, so she simply asked for more tea, which conjured itself up into one of the teacups set out in front of her.

"Lovely," She mused quietly to herself before clutching the warm cup and sipping contentedly. House elves sure know how to make a mean cuppa.

Jona looked around the hall awkwardly - still no sign of Hufflepuffs. He got up an meandered on over to the Ravenclaw table where Zoe () was. "Heya. How're things?"

Merlin smiled and sit. "What's wrong? Worried about Tegan? I'm sure it will be fine, I'm with you too so you can rely on me. I wish we could all be friends too and have many adventures together."

She noticed a box topped with a rainbow card right away at the Slytherin table. "Hmm, something for Drew (), from River no doubt," she thought. Poppy wanted to check if he was feeling better after River had blown up at him so she began her meal next to the empty seat by the box. She noticed the same group of Slytherin girls from the picnic, and that Merlin was sitting with a very wan Magnus at the Ravenclaw table. It couldn't hurt to get ahead in her reading, so she pulled out her Herbology textbook and waited to see if Drew would show up.

In the Great Hall at dinner, she received a secret note and was wary, relieved, and excited about its contents. It seemed that Callista, whatever her background, had wholeheartedly embraced Muggle fashion. She took out her favorite quill, an iridescent cormorant feather, and scrawled a reply in invisible ink that only revealed its message to its designated recipient: Callista, See you Sunday at tea. Thank you for the invitation.
