"I think so!" Chell said in response to Magnus (), "I'm a little nervous about my Potions homework, but I guess I never feel totally confident in that class, so I'll just stay positive!" she smiled. She realized that he likely wasn't just tired from studying, but she didn't want to make him uncomfortable by prying, so continued to engage in polite conversation.
Chell looked through the items for sale at the Quidditch booth and noticed Paddy (), "Hi! How're you?" she asked as she browsed.
Chell wasn't very good at the Quidditch and thus had no real use for the player equipment, but she decided to pick up a couple of items to service her broom. "Oh! Those are terrific gifts, I'm sure he'll love them!" she said in support of Millie ().
She then spotted the merchandise section. She heard Elizabeth's () comment about the fabric and couldn't resist feeling it herself, "Oh wow! That's lovely!" She enthusiastically picked up a jersey from her favorite team and contemplated buying more, but a look at her already full arms talked her out of it; she didn't want to get greedy and buy more than her fair share.
Thrilled with the success she'd had with her shopping, she deposited money in the honesty box and knelt down to pet Noodles. "What a good day, right, bud?" the orange cat purred in response. She went to sit with Zoe (@ Raven) and listened in on her knitting lesson. Zoe made the craft look simple, but she knew from experience that it wasn't quite so. She made a mental note to pick up some materials she needed to practice what she had learned in the common room later.
Millie smiled at Chell (), "I hope so. He is really good at Quidditch. I, on the other hand. I'm decent at flying but I don't have very good hand-eye coordination."
Millie walked with Chell with what looked like a knitting lesson with Zoe (). "Oh how perfect. I was just thinking about learning how to knit. I want to make a blanket for my boyfriend. Which needles and wool are the best?"
“Cool. My mum used to play for the ‘olyhead ‘arpies. Watching the games are fun, I think,” Magnus said. “Don’t worry about not liking heights and all. It ain’t for everyone.” He smiled at Elizabeth ()
“Mmm, yes please. Tea please with two sugars and a dash o’ cream if you will,” Magnus said taking Millie up on the offer of coffee. “Sure why not. Bit o’ extra ‘elp is worth it.” ()
“I’m fairly good with potions,” Magnus told Chell (), “if you want some ‘elp, I can see what I can do.”
Zoe smiled when Chell joined. Maybe she had someone to knit with in the common room now? “It depends,” the Scottish girl told Millie, “on how cold it gets. If ye want a thick, blanket I’d get some of this lovely Worsted or Afghan wool, also labelled as 10ply. It’s thick but it’s also soft. Then you’d need a needle that matches the size of the wool. Bigger wool will knit faster too so that’s a bonus when working with blankets, cos they seem to take forever. But ye can add magic too. I can show ye.”
Millie nodded at Magnus (), "You got it. I'll be right back with your tea." She walked to the corner of the room where there was a pot of hot coffee and hot water for tea. She made up her coffee and Magnus's tea and applied the charm to it. She returned and handed it to Magnus. "There are you are. Hope that helps. I can teach it to you if it works. My dad learned it when he was traveling the world."
Millie smiled at Zoe. "I think a nice Afghan blanket would be lovely. I'll get it a shot. I'd love to learn a charm for it too." She picked up some dark purple, white, and red Afghan wool and a set of needles to match. "I hope he likes this"
"That would be awesome!" she replied to Magnus' () offer as she attempted to mime the knitting motions Zoe demonstrated, "Thank you very much!" Potions had given her trouble since day one, and she was grateful for the prospect of his assistance.
"Hmm.. I'll be right back!" she called over her shoulder as she walked to the nearby booth and picked up a some beginners knitting supplies, ensuring that the bundles of wool she collected was Never-Tangle.
She bought the items and sat back down with the group ( + everyone else). She set the extras down in the center of the circle that had formed in case anyone else wanted to use them as well. She tried to go through the motions again, but something quickly went awry. "Oh! Umm.." Somehow she had managed to wrap the wool around not only the needles, but also her hands. She smiled, but was clearly a bit embarrassed as she attempted to free her hands, "Whoops!"
"Cheers," Magnus said taking his offered mug. "I normally wake after tea and food." He smiled and nodded. "Cool, we'll tell 'im 'ow it works then. And yes, if it does work well, I'd love you to teach me."
"No problem, Chell," Magnus replied. "I like potions."
"He'll love it," Zoe promised. "If you make things with love people can tell." She then helped untangle Chell. "Do nee worry, it happened to me before as well. Once Tails tried to catch the string and managed to tie me up. just do nee get frustrated, we'll have ye all knitting like pros soon."
Elizabeth smiled as Chell () looked at a jersey - probably from her favourite team? She didn't know, but it was made of very high quality materials. These were definitely no cheap types of clothing. She wondered why Chell didn't get it as she seemed to be on the fence, but she didn't ask any further questions.
She laughed when Millie() shared her story of the american wool scarf. "Oh, that's perfectly relatable.", she said with a grin, "the mother of my best friend at home once made me a cake in a flavour I didn't like...well, I didn't want to hurt her feelings, so I said it was the best cake ever...guess what cake I got the next time?" She gave a wry smile. "It took me 2 years to finally tell her I didn't like melon flavour."
"I went to the Quidditch game against the Wimbourne Wasps you had organized with your mother last summer.", she replied to Magnus () and smiled. "It was really good, even though I was quite silent at the game. ", she added and laughed amused, " 'it ain't for everyone' ? Tell that our flying instructor. " When Millie went to get coffee and tea, Elizabeth followed her way to get a nice cup of Earl Grey. Careful, she walked back to the others, making sure not to spill anything. They seemed to be starting to share tips and useful information on knitting and the whole scene looked rather cosy. She flicked her wand and a blanket and a few pillows appeared. "It might just be more comfortable", she added with a smile, hoping nobody would mind before she took a seat as well. She had never knitted, but the thought of making her very own house scarf - or maybe even a blanket - was thrilling. If she didn't have the patience for such a project...well, then she could at least try a funny sock for one of her snakes.
(OOC; Raven, lovely art of Zoe! ♥ )
"I hope that help Magnus (). I'll let him know we gave it a try."
Millie sat down in the circle with Chell (), Zoe, and Elizabeth (). "Yeah. I feel kind of bad I wasn't honest with her but even my dad thought it would be better than telling her the truth. That's kind of funny you mention that because my mum is a baker and she used to make my dad mincemeat pie every year for Christmas. It wasn't for a good several years until my dad finally told her he isn't a fan of mincemeat. Like us, he meant well."
She took a sip of her coffee and started working on the blanket while looking at a beginner's guide. "I think I may have bitten off more than I can chew" she said to Zoe
(OOC: Hello ladies! Is it alright if the Great Hall reverts back to its usual state with the vendor fair gone around this time tomorrow? c:
Excuse me for my lack of response. I’ll try to get back to all of you in the RP.)

(thank you <3 Cheshire drew it for me <3)) "Ah yeah, come to think of it, I remember seeing you. Though I 'ad nothing to do with it. Mum kept me outta the loop." He laughed. "True 'e seems to think we all should like it."
"I'm sure it will," Magnus said confidently.
Zoe smiled at the blanket Elizabeth conjured. "Perfect." She shook her head. "Ye're fine Millie. Just go slowly. I'll help ye. Would ye like to try as well Elizabeth?"
( works for me))
Elizabeth laughed at Millie's words (). "Oh that sounds quite awkward but funny. I'm amazed that your dad kept this secret for several years.", she said amused and stroke over her cape. "But you had the contacts to make such a trip possible. That's something.", she replied to Magnus (), before she pondered a while about Zoe's offer. "I don't know yet. For the moment, I just watch you others try and maybe learn something from that.", she responded and hoped she did not cause any offense by this.
(OOC Raven It's truly beautiful :> Congrats on such a beautiful piece of art c: - that's fine for me. and don't worry =) )
