She smiled and greeted her fellow Ravenclaw, Zoe (@ Raven), and waved to a Slytherin girl she had seen in classes, but had never officially met - Callista (@ Valiska) was her name, if she was recalling role correctly. She and Noodles then practically skipped towards the Magical Menagerie. Chell was looking forward to perusing the selection of treats and accessories available for kittens, but also wanted to browse their book collection and maybe pick a few to learn how to care for potential future furry, scaly, or feathery friends.

((It's actually inside the Great Hall. Four pop up booths))

Zoe had picked out a lot of supplies for her knitting and placed them in her bag, then dug in and pulled out her niffler. Digging into his pouch she retrieved some money and plopped that into the honesty box. Then she returned her pet to her bag as is this was perfectly normal. "Hey Chell," she said shyly as she came over to the Magical Menagerie stall and started looking. "How are you? Know what you want yet? Ooo is that...Sabrina up there?" Noting the serval up on top sniffing bags of treats. Looking around to see Callista nearby she waved. "I think she's more eager for this booth than robes."

((, oops! My b. I totally misread. Thanks for the heads up!))

"I'm good. Thank you! How're you?" she responded cheerfully as she scanned the booth, "Hmm... Oh! They do have them!" Noodles found the treats at the same time she did and pawed at the small bag eagerly, "We have to pay for them first!" Chell giggled as she deposited the appropriate amount in the honesty box. "Haddock-flavored treats. He looooves them!" she explained then began scanning the books, "Oh man, there are so many neat creatures to learn about. Do you have any suggestions?" she wondered.

[img align=left]https://sapi.subeta.net/shared/399224.png[/img] Poppy made a beeline for the Spindlewarps Wool Shop area after her Astronomy test. The exam had been rigorous, and she felt like treating herself to some new supplies. She dropped her coins into the Honesty Box and began to browse. The project bags were adorable, and she picked one up, remembering how much she'd liked Zoe's. Poppy filled the little bag with skeins of hunter green never-tangle wool and a new set of wooden knitting needles.

It would be nice to spend some of her downtime in the Slytherin Common Room, knitting an infinity scarf and hanging out with her peers. She planned on doing more of that before the term was up. Poppy enjoyed the idea of being cozy during winter's snow and wind. It didn't match being outdoors in the sun though. She would explore the grounds, sunbathe by the Black Lake, visit the greenhouses, make late-night trips to the Astronomy Tower, and maybe even fly to the rumored waterfall as soon as the weather permitted.

Outfit Not Found

Callista waves to the Ravenclaw girl she doesn't think she's met before and also to Zoe, then hurriedly throws the cloak and gloves she's been inspecting into her tote and drops money into the box.

"Oh no! Sabrina!" She runs over to the Magical Menagerie sales area and scoops up the spotty kitten, then picks up the packets her pet has knocked over.

"Hi, Zoe, and hi--- um." She smiles sheepishly. "Sorry, Sabrina is still a kitten, really. I swear I did feed her this morning, plus I am very sure that she had a mouse last night--but she is still growing." She pays for the packets that have been marked by her baby's attempt to get past the wards and seals. At least she knows Sabrina will like those! "We should've come here first but I didn't want anyone else to get that cloak. I love my white cape but it's very white and isn't suitable for every trip I need to take when it's cold."

She glances at one of the bags as she opens it. "Hmm, looks like we've got two haddock fans here. It's a good thing they didn't decide to join forces I guess, we'd be buying the whole pile."

Zoe giggled at the kitty wanting the treats. "I have a cat too. Long grey fur." When Chell asked what books she might like, Zoe gave this a lot of thought. "Well, I love every animal, so its hard. Ye might like this one, its about magical cats." She showed her the book. "Ooh I see a book on training birds." She picked that up for herself.

"Chell, this is Callista," Zoe said introducing them. "It's okay I have a cat too. His name is Tales. Since ye both are getting haddock treats, I'll get a couple bags for him. Two kitty opinions can't be wrong."

Zoe saw Poppy arrive and buying wool. She really hoped they could knit together. She would speak with her soon. The shy girl didn't wanna bother the other head girl whilst she was shopping.

"Nice to meet you, Callista!" she smiled and extended her hand to the Slytherin girl, "This is Sabrina? She's adorable!" she said, admiring the excited serval. Then, taking two treats out of the bag, she offered them to Noodles, who gobbled them up readily. "A ringing endorsement if I've ever seen one," she chuckled, "Tales won't be disappointed, Zoe!" Noodles looked up at Chell for more, "No, honey. You'll spoil your supper!" she said, declining the feline's begging meow.

"Ooh," Chell turned the book over and read the abstract aloud, "'Looking for a new feline friend? This book will help you choose the purr-fect species! From the Tabby to the Kneazle - you'll learn about the unique care requirements for each magical cat' This sounds right up my alley. Thanks!" she payed for the book, then carefully placed both purchases into a bag that was no bigger than a small coin purse.

Millie entered the Great Hall with her cat Cleo in tow. She looked around and saw an honesty box. She pulled out 3 galleons. She wasn't planning on buying much but she thought it would be a nice gesture to help her fellow students who didn't have much spending money.

After she donated the money, she went directly to the Magical Menagerie. She took a long look and picked up a new leopard spotted plush bed. "What do you think, Cleo? Would like you like this new bed by the fire place in the common room?" Her cat purred and brushed up against her left leg. "All right." She said, placing the bed into her basket. She also placed a few bags of cat treats and a bag of cat food in her basket. "Oh, how about a new scratching board? Your nails are looking kind of long". She placed a new scratching post in her basket with the cat bed and treats.

"Cleo, we need some owl treats too. Ibid will want something tasty when he comes back from Durmstrang." She looked around and wasn't sure what to get her new snowy owl. She looked at an assortment of owl treats and picked a few different bags to try. "Okay Cleo. I think we're set here. Shall we go see what else there is and see who all is here?" Her cat purred and brushed her tail against Millie's leg again. "All right, off we go"

Millie looked around the Great Hall and saw Zoe (). She approached Zoe and warmly greeted her, "Hi Zoe. Finding anything good?"

Zoe nodded to Chell. "He needs some assurances that he's still my baby after getting so many new pets in a short span." She was happy to help find a book since she loved books herself. She picked up some fang brushes and saw the cat beds. "Look its shaped like a fish." The teen was deeply amused.

"Hi Millie," Zoe said, "Yeah a lot, I think I got one of everything the Magical Menagerie has here. I needa look at the robes in a moment." She'd been told privately that she could get some of everything with no payment since the school was aware of the lack of funds her muggle parents had and she couldn't pass up the opportunity even though picking out clothing wasn't her top favourite thing.

Millie smiled at Zoe,() "yeah, I definitely got quite a bit more than I was expecting. I really like this new bed for Cleo. I'm thinking of putting it near the fire place in the common room or under one of the windows. She'll like that.

"I'm going to take a look at the robes too. I don't know if I'll get anything. I may put another galleon or two in the honesty box as a donation. It's really nice what they are doing here." She almost mentioned she had already placed 3 galleons in but decided not to in case it came off as bragging. She bit her lower lip, hoping she didn't make Zoe or anyone else who heard her uncomfortable.

"Hello. I'm not sure if we met. I'm Millie. You two are?" she asked the Slytherin and Ravenclaw girls. ()

((and all)) "Ooh sounds like a perfect spot," Zoe said as she picked out the yellow fish shaped bed and put it in her extendable bag. She nodded. "Aye it really is. I bet many can use the help." She didn't say she was one of them. "Let's go look."

She picked up a girl Ravenclaw robe pack, she definitely needed that along with one of the cloak packs. It was getting cold after all. The dress robes were the next thing she looked at. "Hmm, yellow, teal... what colour should I get?"

"Hi Millie (@ Tardis)! I'm Chell! It's nice to meet you," Chell smiled, "aww, and who is this?" she asked, kneeling to pet a cat even fluffier than her own orange poof. Across the way, she noticed one of the Head Girls (@ poppet) browsing the knitting supplies. She had always wished she had the skill it took to knit. She thought about asking the girl if she'd be interested in giving her a Knitting 101 lesson sometime, but decided that it would probably be a strange question to ask so out of the blue, especially since they had never officially met.

Once everyone had finished paying for their items, Chell walked with the girls over to robes stall. She had never seen robes and cloaks of so many colors and fabrics before. She was a bit overwhelmed, but remained laser focused as she searched through the garments. She didn't looked up until she heard Zoe (@ Raven) ask a question, "Ooh! Tough choice. Hmm...," She lifted her hand to her mouth and pondered for a minute, glancing between the gorgeous options Zoe had been considering, "I think you'd look amazing in the yellow one!" she beamed.

Finally, she picked up a midnight purple cloak. It was made of a heavy, shiny, and incredibly soft material. She tried it on and gave a dramatic twirl, "What do you guys think? ... Is it too much?" she asked, suddenly a bit self-conscious of her choice.

"Ye think so?" Zoe said smiling and taking the yellow one off the rack. "Tis my favourite colour...well one of them anyway." She saw the winter gloves and picked up a pair as well as the dragon-hide ones since hers were starting to wear terribly. She looked over at the purple cloak that was twrilling. "Ye look very nice Chell. I think I need one too. It gets rather cold on the moors." She bit her lip as she looked at the cloak options.

Millie walked with Zoe to the robes table with Zoe () and Chell (). "Hi Chell, it's nice to meet you. This ball of fluff is Cleo. She's thinks she's every bit of regal as she looks."

They took a look at the robes when Chell picked up a dark purple cloak. "Yes. I like that on you. It looks very nice. Same goes with that teal dress robe, Zoe. I love teal"

She picked up a maroon dress with pink and green flowers around the bust and hem. "Hmm. I like this but I also like this light blue one with the flowers. Oh and this white one with the red plaid band around the waist."

Zoe saw a dark blue almost black robes that had her jaw drop. She picked it up and slipped it in to her bag the girls didn't have a chance to see it. "I found my favourite," she said mysteriously. "I think the teal traveling cloak. Aye, me too Mille," She snicked when Millie found several colours she liked. With two dress robes and the traveling cloak, Zoe was finished at the robe booth so she smiled and waited on the other girls, since she did't wish to be rude. She wondered how she'd leave without putting money in the box.

"Thanks, guys!" Chell excitedly slipped off the cloak, folded it carefully, then placed it in her bag after depositing money in the honesty box nearby. "Maybe I'll get Noodles some ribbon in the matching color," she thought aloud as the other girls continued shopping.

She looked over Millie () and the beautiful dresses she was torn between, "Ooh! Those patterns are very pretty. Any one of them would look great on you," she smiled and then turned to Zoe (). "Did you find what you were looking for?" Chell asked, noting that she was looking even happier than before.

"Oh matching ribbon would be cute," Zoe said.

When asked if she found what she wanted she nodded. "Aye, I did. Should now be set for the rest of the winter. "

Paddy ran into the Great Hall, wondering how on earth she had missed the start of the Vendor Fair, which she was sure was due to be the following week. Looking around the hall, she made her way over to the Quality Quidditch Supplies booth first. She might not have been actively practising her flying this term, but that didn't mean she was totally against Quidditch. She'd left her pets in the dorm, but a sudden movement in her jacket pockets made her jump. Plunging her hand into each pocket in turn, she discovered Rodney the rat was sleeping in one, and her new Niffler, Ninja, had been dozing in the other. "I'm going to have to check my pockets more carefully," she said with a sigh, turning back to the Quidditch supplies stand.

Niamh had been so busy getting her new pets settled in, that she'd almost missed the announcement for the vendor fair. Entering the Great Hall, with Marmalade her orange Fwooper on her should, she looked around at the stalls and decided that the wool stall had to be her first stop. "I wonder how hard it is to learn to crochet," she thought out loud as she looked at the never-tangle yarn.

When Zoe say Nimah at the wool shop she smiled. "I'm gonna say hi to Niamh and then check out the Quidditch stuff," she said to the other girls. It must have appeared she forgot to pay. She raced off to the stall. "You knit, crotchet?" she asked Nimah.

Elizabeth has read the note on the blackboard in the Slytherin common room and was curious how these pop-up shops would look. After putting on her newest clothes, she went straight to the Great Hall. A few students were already there and the shop booths looked very interesting. She tried to catch a glimpse from every booth before going closer - and Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions looked tempting.

Gracefully, Elizabeth walked over to the booth and began to look through the different types of clothing. The gloves made of charmed leather looked fine and she admired the material. She was arguing with herself a bit, but finally placed 9 galleons into the booth. Nobody should say the Covingtons were a thrifty family. No, nobody should speak bad about her family at all. Carefully, she put the gloves into the pockets of her cape before slowly going on to examine the other booths. She noticed the other students who were excited about their newest purchases and smiled lightly at them. Elizabeth would have loved to buy some of the dresses as well...but she would have to fit it on first. And she didn't want to do so here in the Great Hall. "Hey! Do you mind if I join in?", she asked the group of girls who was just about to leave the clothing booth.
