Vet mentioned if get have fever it helps reduce it. Works on humans a bit too. I have ac set at 65 right now to help keep him cool. To lower temp in kitties vet will use the alcohol and cold table to get body temp down. Like if humans body temps high try cold rags on forehead or running wrists under cold watter

I dropped two of last years kittens even though my heart ached for Bandit, she really showed her love for me today and it broke me. Dropped the latest and final batch of kittens off as well. I hope their eye gunk doesn't get in the way of them finding new homes. I would hate if they end up being euthanized and it just doesn't sit well with me but I can't keep everyone. However, I did end up keeping the kitten that always finds me despite trying so hard not to be attached. Guess there is not time frame of when a pet comes into our lives, huh?

Also, picked up Candie's ashes. I'll have pictures tomorrow sometime next week of everything I have. I broke down. It was a lot more than I expected.

The cost was a lot more the expected or reaction getting her back? I know when I lost buddy when I finally got his ashes back I cried. I still cry every so often for him. He was a sweet boy. HELL I still cry over my dog Sheba I lost in 1993 and my cat Samantha 1999 and Amber 2002. Plus a few others over time. I just start thinking of them and sob.

Logan is more alert tonight. I came home from a long damn day of work and he got up when I walked in went to the food dish and ate a few pieces then drank some water. I opened a can of food and he licked a little of the broth. Right now he is laying on the couch and instead of snoozing, he watching everyone else try to find any moths that may have snuck in. SO I am happy right now. I have to give him his antibiotics here in a bit but glad he doing a few things and alert. I know he still feeling under weather but its good to see him not sleeping. When they sick always want instant fix when being treated.

See I end up keeping everyone. I believe the shelter around me is no kill but I still fear giving anyone away. Depends on what the eye gunk the kittens have is. Usually its an easy treatable thing with a little antibiotic.

I already paid for everything when it all happened. It was just the reaction to getting her back. I flinched earlier with fear when we were out because it started to rain and I automatically thought I need to get home and make sure Candie is in the washroom or inside the house. I've done that the last few times it's rained even though I know she's not with us anymore. And every now and again I hear what sounds like her barking and I know I'm hearing things...

I didn't have any choice but to take them to the SPCA. The other place told me they would just kill the ones from last year if you remember... Three of them made it but two others passed after that visit to that place. We kept them to make sure they lived and they did and are thriving even though they are still a little small for their age. The latest kitten batch, I just didn't have the energy to keep up with them for very long given my health issues, the other animals that need care and the loss of Candie.

The lady saw them and said that she didn't know if they'd be euthanized or not since they had something contagious and I had to ask her what she meant cause I didn't know what she was talking about. She said the gunk in their eyes. I told her what I thought it was and what I had been doing the past few days. Otherwise the kittens are very playful, active and eating so I don't see why it would be a big fuss but I will never know and that is eating at me but I also know I couldn't continue to stress myself with all of the clean up and such. Just too much even though I loved them all so much! <3
