Thank you! We're excited about this :)
You'll have to tell me your secrets then! I think when the times comes to find out if boy or girl, we'll want to know. I'm not very patient either!
My husband is very admit about asking for more diapers then anything else. Babies are poop machines haha.
: WOW!! Congratulations! I am so very super excited for you and your hubby! (wow)...I have so many questions! I am very happy for you. (You know that birthing is my specialty...though I have not had much experience with human deliveries....) Just WOW! I'm babbling...
Thank you!! We're pretty excited too :) What questions do you have? Maybe I can answer some of them lol.
He is so right!

I really really extremely want:: When do you find out if you are carrying a male or a female? Do humans normally have just one or a whole litter? Is it true that humans are required by law to birth their litters at the Hall of Healing and not at home or in a cave? Do you really carry your offspring for nine months? How do you manage? Are you being cared for by a Doctor, or a Physician, or a Nurse midwife? If I could get to Texas somehow I could offer my services as a Midweasel-wife.
Are you going to use cloth diapers or those new-fangled paper ones? Paper diapers sound convenient...can they be washed and reused?
What is formula? It sounds like it is made by an alchemist, is it like ale? Are humans allowed to give ale to their newborns? Is the alchemist formula given to the fathers so that they can relax and not be such nincompoops? I have never understood 'formula.'
Hey! I was never a nincompoop when you were pregnant, I was very helpful and waited on you night and day.
Nincompoop! Go get us an ale.
Do you have names in mind already? :)

Yes...gifs are more entertaining.
Congratulations! Ooooo ... could be around my birthday then!
La la la No more wine for you.
More booze for us! Yay
We'll survive though haha! Hopefully my husband will be alright with diaper duty sometimes!
told me about the non alcholic wines, so I may look into that. Once the baby is born....yeah, I'm getting my glass of wine...when I'm able too of course!
Oh cool! Your bday is in January too? My husbands is on the 13th! The baby is supposed to be here on the 5th, but we'll see what happens. They tend to have a mind of their own.
Kind of. If it's a girl, she'll be named after his mom (she passed away in 99) and my mom and grandma's middle name. There'll be a hawaiian name too, but it's hard to find a good one! If it's a boy, he'll be named after his dad and my husbands middle name and a hawaiian name too.
Here's my answers to the questions. Hopefully they help a bit :) ~We'll find out next month if we're having a boy or a girl. Then again we may want to keep it a surprise too, until the baby is born, but I don't believe I'm that patient haha. ~That I believe depends on genetics. I'm only have one kid, but there are others that have two (twins) or three (triplets). On some rare occasions some women may have up to 8! Though I think the larger amount of babies come from fertility treatments. ~Nope! We don't have to have babies in the hospital if we don't have too. Birthing centers and at home births are now more common, but I think I'll have mine at the hospital closest to us. Since I'm in my late 30s, I'd like to be sure everything will be alright when it's that time. ~As long as everything is alright, then 9 months is the longest for a baby. Though sometimes there are complications and some babies have to come early and stay in the hospitals for awhile until they are strong enough to go home. Honestly, I don't know how other women manage, but I'm doing good. No morning sickness and a lot of naps haha. Some women are sick through the whole pregnancy. ~I'm being cared for by a Doctor and at this next appointment, I'll get to talk to a mid-wife. ~I'd love that! I'm trying to do everything correctly and as natural as possible for this pregnancy. I already told my husband that I'd like to have a natural birth, as long as there is no complications. ~I'm probably going to use the paper ones lol. I don't know how I feel about having to clean diapers every day. My parents used them with my brother, but then with me they used the paper lol. The paper ones can be throw out after each use. I think that's why the cost so much! ~Formula can be a substitute for babies if they aren't able to breastfeed or if the mom decides not to feed the normal way. Umm, it's not like ale and it wouldn't be good for babies, maybe for the fathers since they seem to be more frazzled then the mothers are when it comes to caring for tiny humans.
SOme neat naming plans! I take it you are Hawaiian then?

Oh, I saw another brand I was going to tell you about yesterday. I need to see if I wrote the name down on a paper that didn't get tossed. ha!
my store carries the N/A wines. I of course never tried them. We carry a brand called Fre and I am not sure what the other one is. The one lady that works the time share tourist trap booth bought them when she was pregnant last year.
: I loved your answers! I'm sure I will have thousands more, but I will not impose on you to answer them all. My Authors mate, Francine was a labor and Delivery nurse for years before she retired and I am sure she will be able to answer many of legion of questions that will pop into my silly little weasel-girl head.
I can hardly wait to hear what some of your name choices are. Some of the names on my Author's first name list were Prunella Rosanna and Ardella Axel. I think Aubrey Brunhilda was in there too.... But after 8 months, they settled on Jennifer Marguerite for their first child 38 years ago. (remember it was the 70's, big roots-movement-post-hippie-stoner era.) At least they didn't go for unique or goofy, like Santa Beans, or Moon Unit, or Dweezle.
: I am having a martini tonight. Do you want me to have Weldon make you one too? I have never tasted anything more yummy then a martini made with Old Tom gin before.
I'm part Hawaiian, it's a tradition to have a first or middle(s) names Hawaiian.
Send me anything that I can look at :D I welcome anything!
I'll have to look out for that brand then. I wonder if the big liquor stores would have it.
Francine would probably have better answers then I would right now. Being my first child, I'm the one who should be asking every question available! For some reason, not many have come up yet. Maybe in the next few months.
Jennifer Marguerite is a pretty name and it doesn't sound too 70s to me. There was a girl who graduated with me name Summer Shine, so maybe her parents wanted something unique also.
I do have one question for you, maybe you can ask your Authors mate too. When it comes to tea, I've read that not all herbal tea is good to drink when pregnant, but I love herbal tea! Peppermint is nice for upset tummies, so I'm sure that's fine. Do you know of any others that are safe for me to drink?
: Teas and herbs to avoid during pregnancy due to their risk of side effects include: St John’s Wort, Don Quai, Ginseng, Yarrow, Pennyroyal (known to cause miscarriage), Ephedra, Licorice Root, and all caffeine-containing teas (black, green, oolong, Earl grey, etc.)
These are teas I give to my patients at Healer's Hall during and after pregnancy.
1: Ginger Tea also eases nausea. 2: Nettle Tea Provides high levels of iron, magnesium and calcium . 3: Raspberry Leaf Tea prepares the uterus. 4: Dandelion Leaf Tea if fluid retention is an issue. 5: Peppermint Tea, as you said earlier, is great to help settle an upset stomach as well as the nausea and vomiting common in early pregnancy. 6: Rooibos Tea also has positive effects on digestion and can ease colic and reflux. Francine is partial to Rooibos tea and she gives me a few tea bags from time to time, as it is impossible to grow up here in the foothills. (It only grows in South Africa.)
(You actually know Jennifer Marguerite...her user name on Subeta is Glitter and plays on our WS team as Dace)
: You poked me? How are you me dear? Are you having a good summer? Weldon and I just got out of the creek and dried off and now are going to have some dinner of sausage and eggs. Welly is out on the back porch having his pipe and working the grill.
I am brushing out my tail and getting dressed for the evening. It's been hot (100 today) so I'm not wearing much this evening. Maybe later, Welly will read to me while we sip some wine or spirits with the gingersnaps he baked this morning.
and Gifs or no gifs. You guys disappoint me because nether of you pinged !
