It seemed everyone around her had finished stuffing their jars full of whatever they fancied and thus she made her way outside with them. She inhaled deeply and exhaled softly rolling her shoulders once or twice. The sun had climbed up higher in the sky but had not yet reached it peak. Soon the group would make their way to the tea shop for a short break. A cup of fruit tea sounded wonderful to her and perhaps they would offer some nice biscuits as well. She rearranged the things in her bag to fit the jar at the bottom and have the boxed candy she paid for on top. Rosie opened her map filled with doodles and scanned it to find their current location and the route to the tea shop. After a few minutes she rolled up the map, stashed it away carefully and closed her bag. She noticed Magnus enjoying himself and sat down quietly beside him facing the soft breeze.

Paddy and Rosie joined the boys outside. Magnus smiled. "Ladies." He was licking one of the mice pops still. "You find nice yummies?"

Niall was wondering where he should eat lunch at as he read the map. He knew both the inn and Three broomsticks but he wasn't sure if the tea place did or not.

Merlin was looking the shops to see if anyone sells ice cream but so far no luck. "Maybe inside one of the coffee shops...doubt in a pub." He mumbles to himself, then he saw Tomes and Scrolls and went that way since his previous bookshop visit was interrupted. "Going to check the books if anyone is interested." He saw Niall looking at the map and wondered. "Are you looking for a specific place Niall? I can help, I visit sometimes." ((I forgot to ping- I'm not even surprised))

"I wanna go to the book shop," he said, his eyes looked back to Honeydukes. Should he ask Eros what he was wanting Niall to do. "I was also wondering what we'd have for lunch."

"There's some sandwiches other type things in the tea shop. we could hit the other shops we want and get our lunch there when we are done. "

((Anyone)) Merlin nods to Magnus suggestion. "Unless you are hungry and want to eat first, I'm not hungry after all I've eaten so far. But if you want to eat first then we go to the books after."

"I've 'ad me mousy now so I can wait," Magnus replied.

"Books!" the boy said eagerly. "And other shops, and then food, like Magnus suggested!"

((I fell asleep.))

Merlin nods while smiling at Niall's excitement. "The books it is!" He turned his direction back toward the bookstore and skip a little with joy. Surprisingly he didn't trip and smoothly made it to the shop. "I want something cool...advanced potions or something."

((no worries, just got home xD))

Both Magnus and Niall kinda snickered at the same time as Merlin skipped. Then they were in the shop and Magnus headed in one direction and Niall in another. It was unspoken then they'd find either other and not leave without them.

((ooc: sorry i as MIA yesterday and most of today. Work and stuff. My ability to process words was at zero. Anyway, here is a lazy non-interactive post from me while I go catch up xD ))

The teen then explored Honeydukes a bit more before stopping at the No-Melt Ice Creams. The stuffed his jar with all the no-melt ice cream he could fit in it. Ultimately, it became a jar of assorted ice cream flavored and waffle crumbles (crushed cones). The Australian then topped it off with the few cockroaches he had previously in his hand. Despite his hesitation on Acid Pops, he wasn't shy about eating bugs.

When he was done in Honeydukes, Eros decided to step outside a bit to get a break from the sweet aroma inside.

Feeling like he was in paradise, Merlin looked through the bookshop picking book after book to decide in the end which one he would get. "I can possibly only buy one...but maybe I can haggle." The idea seem good in his head and from the corner of his eye he could see his friends looking at the things they each liked. "How much for these books?" He asked the cashier. "Any discounts I can get?" He looked at him with an eyebrow raised and Merlin made his adorable face. "Please."

The man lower his head and whispered. "Nice try, but it won't work."

Merlin pout and looked down sadly. "Well which one is cheaper then? I have 25 galleons, can i buy all these books with that?"

The man chuckled. "You seriously want to buy six books with twenty five galleons?" Merlin shrugs.

"You can have two."

"Ohh." He sighs and tries to decide which ones to get, as the man sees him struggling between two of the books, he hurries him. "Ok, this one then." But had a hard time letting go of a dragon book but he gave the man his remaining money. "Thanks."

"Wait!" Merlin thought he did something wrong and looked scared. "You forgot this one." He placed the dragon book on his bag and smiles while winking. "Our secret." Merlin nods and leaves the store quickly and steps outside to wait for his friends. "I was lucky."

Drew was in total agreement over the fact that food could wait a bit. Books came first! He hurried to the bookstore along with his friends and then veered off to the side so he could pull out his list without anyone seeing. With a grin on his face, he set off through the store looking for certain type books for certain people...while also trying to keep an eye out so that Merlin, Magnus, and Niall didn't see what he was buying. He was extremely happy that he'd saved his pocket money for so many weeks. Of course after this trip he'd be pretty much broke, but it was the end of the term anyway so why not spend it all and have fun? Drew couldn't think of a reason not to enjoy himself and also surprise his friends.

Niall had gone to the books on dancing, and fairy tales and violin... but he was worried. Without knowing how much the quills would cos he was reluctant to buy anything. What if he spent too much and didn't have enough for the quills or what Eros wanted? Finally he just went outside the shop. He had one book, thanks to Merlin and that was more than he had thought he'd get.

Magnus took a little longer. He found some crime novels with aurors in them and bought one of those to send Tamsin as well as a few for him. He also bought a book on wizard art. Paying for his books he exited the store where Niall and Merlin where waiting.

((YOU WHAT??? MISSED ASSIGNMENTS?! I feel like throwing you in a room with Peeves for a month! lol Lucky for you we are quite ahead this term, but still..points are points! >_< Kicks rl for you. lol))

Merlin smiled as his friends started gathering outside with him. "So, did you got something nice Mag?" Since he didn't see anything in Niall's hands he guessed he decided to save his money and smiles. "We can come back later if you change your mind, just let us know." He said to Niall as he pats his shoulder. Merlin looked inside the shop and saw Drew was still looking so he just chat with his other friends. "Looks like Drew is enjoying himself. I wanted a few other books but I already spend too much so maybe some other time. I don't want to tell mom I spent all the money she sent me. I still want to save a few galleons for the break." He looks at Magnus a little confused. "How do we get muggles things if we don't use muggle money? If we want to see a play, won't we need to pay for a ticket?"

"I bought some crime novels, one for Tamsin. The heroine as a slightly crazy auror who apparently winds up in the midst of a big crime when she unwittenly brings a few children from the school to a simple outing. Sound familiar?" He grinned, "I thought that she'd get a kick out of that. I also got a book on wizard art. You?"

Niall nodded, "I amn't sure what everything else will cost so...don't know what to buy yet."

Magnus smiled, "Don't you worry about that Merlin. I've got the tickets taken care of. If you want muggle money though, we can stop off at Gringots and they can convert it."

((I know, I know!! It's a bad habit of mine...procrastination. I always think I will have time and then rl life throws curve balls at me...and knocks me out at times! Drew will have to throw himself on Merlin's mercy. And he's upset with himself too because he's competitive and all about points too!))

Drew peeked around the corner of one set of bookshelves and grinned as he saw his friends leaving the bookshop. He knew they wouldn't leave him behind, so he took advantage of the time alone to add a couple more books to his armful, including one for himself that caught his eye called Animal ghosts of Britain. He then made his way to the front counter and set the stack down. The cashier raised an eyebrow as if about to tell the boy there was no way he could afford all the books. However Drew took a pouch of coins out of his bag and jingled it. The cashier gave him a look, added the total and told Drew. Not looking worried and with the hint of a smirk, the boy handed over the coins. He was thankful that his parents understood and supported his love of books by financing anything related to them.

With an arm load of books...some of which Drew had had the cashier wrap for him, the boy headed outside to join his friends. "I think I might have gotten a bit carried away," Drew commented with a smile. "I tend to do that when it comes to books."

Merlin giggled at the auror book. "It sounds familiar, she would surely like it." He was excited about his books so he blurted out a bit fast. "I got a new potions books, more advanced than the one I have in school and I haven't seen it at home so I hope there are new things to learn there, I also got a runes book, and a dragons book."

After Niall's comment he nods in agreement. "Good choice, it is best to get what you mostly want first and then..the extra." Merlin was proud of the boy, not many were that smart and able to control their need to spend when they found money in hands.

After Drew arrived Merlin lifts his brows since he had a big bag in hand. "Wow, someone will need help wit the load." He giggles. "Seems like you were saving to get lots of books, I can't blame you I had to leave a few behind...like that novel about a dark wizard traveling through space searching for an ultimate weapon to take over the world." He grins. "i like fantasy."

"I figured I could borrow one o' the school owls and send it to Tams after writing her a letter. Mum's getting several owls from Gaia's family. She's so swamped she can't send everything out fast enough."

Niall nodded, "I know I wanna get some quills for sure. But there's so much to see. What if I run out and find something better?"

Drew walked out with half the bookstore and Magnus' eyebrow rose. "Might've gotten carried away? They deliver, you know... 'ow are you gonna carry all that for the rest o' the day?" His smile though showed he understood and approved. "Wit beyond measure is a man's greatest treasure."

Merlin smiles to Magnus. "You can borrow Flight, I'm sure she can carry the book for you. I can't wait to see her again! I want her to meet spellz! Hope they get along."

Merlin smiles ta Niall. "Well that can happen but I am sure you will chose wisely and don't worry if you see something you like more after I am sure Eros will like anything you get him, even if it's just a pretty stone you pick from the ground." Merlin smiles. "I give stones to people all the time, look at that one I gave to Mag, it's neat right? What is more important about a gift is the intention that comes from the heart."

"i liked that wit thing. Mine would be like Stupidity beyond measure is Merlin's greatest treasure." He laughed so hard he had tears in his eyes. "I'm genius...NOT!"

Drew blushed a bit at the good-natured teasing and said, "Well...I was hoping my friends would help me carry at least some of the books." With a smile he began taking out packages. Not only had Drew bought books, he'd gotten bookmarks which had designs on them which actually moved. Magnus got a package tied with blue ribbon which held a book about magic in North America and a bookmark with a snitch flitting from one end to the other. Merlin's package, tied in green ribbon, was Cooking the Muggle Way and a bookmark with a white dragon breathing fire. "I hope that you guys like them," Drew said with a hint of his orginal shyness.

Drew handed Niall a purple ribboned package and said quietly, "I hope you don't already have one of them...but I figured everyone needs their own copy of a classic." The parcel contained The Tales of Beadle the Bard along with a book on beginning photography and a bookmark with kittens playing on it.

Merlin was surprised since he didn't expected it. "Oh..Drew this is...thank you." He smiled as he looked at the dragon. "It's beautiful, I will surely put it to use!" He hugged him all of a sudden and after put the book on his bag. "I love it. One day I'll get you a thestral and we'll go fly together."
