Her nose wrinkled when she glanced at the cockroach clusters, a small shiver going up her spine. She turned her head back around and noticed the ice mice right behind them. Carefully she picked one up and looked at them. Shrugging her shoulder she popped it in her mouth. The side effects to the chilling candy were instant. "I-I-I'm so-sorry ab-b-out your g-g-grand-pa D-Drew." she squeaked out. Her face turned a bright red as she blushed with embarrassment. She sounded incredibly silly. Luckily she at least found the taste of the ice mouse nice enough. It was kind of lemony and minty and cold and it would be a nice treat in the summer she decided. If she'd get some she would have to eat them by herself. Rosie didn't want anyone to see her like that.

Magnus was watching as several students went through Honeydukes. He smiled as Paddy spoke aloud wondering if Lydia liked the no melt ice cream. The boy wondered if it was magic that made it not melt.

Niall nodded. “Yeah, though a lot to take in.” The smile that spread across his face was warm and content. He liked the way Rosie’s voice chattered with the Ice mice.

Merlin looked suspiciously at Eros, it wasn't like him to offer him anything so he shrugs. "I like peanuts but not my favorite things, I prefer the toffee and I better fill my jar with things I like a lot like chocolate and more chocolate." He smiles. "Give them to Gaia."

Merlin saw Magnus give his jar to Niall and kinda feel bad for him, no candy is like no smiles for Merlin but it was his choice and he could always share his chocolates with him when he feels better so he will remember to give him a few after he gets in a better mood. So he decided to fill his jar and stop looking. He took chocolate frogs, a Cauldron Cakes, a chocolate wand that didn't fit in the jar but he didn't care, wizochoc, coconut ice, Fizzing Whizzbees, sugar quills, Exploding bonbons, pepper imps, and toffee. His jar was extremely full and everything squeezed in, and some things were out of the jar like the wand and quills. He smiled at his jar and nods feeling accomplished with his effort. He wondered if the wand would be allowed but he was not going to ask, in any case he can eat a piece to make it fit, that sounded legit so he did it. "Now it all looks like its inside the jar..sort of." he giggles and looks for his friends, he saw Niall struggling. "Get a chocolate wand so you can practice magic. Now look at this..." He smiled and turned around then turned back to face him with some distance and breathe fire. "Roar!" He laughed. "I'm a human dragon!"

He looked at Drew and laughed. "Was it too much?" He wasn't sure since Niall was a bit stiff so he scratched his head waiting and then kneels down. "You ok pal? It's the candy that makes you breathe fire, you can do it too." He gave him a pepper imp so he would try doing it.

Merlin heard Paddy's guess and he nods. "It could be or peanut brittle."

(( We are still in honeydukes. You can fill your jar with candy if you want or chat to the others. Paddy's filling her jar. Rosie (fampie) is with Drew (leafling19) and Niall (me). Eros (riptide), Gaia and Magnus (me) are to one side and Merlin (merlinpendragon) was near you <3 ))

Magnus snickered when Merlin breathed fire at Niall. It was cute.

Niall laughed at the fire and nodded. "I-I don't know where to start." He showed him the jar he had been working on filling. "Drew's been helping." He wasn't so sure about the pepper imp though. "I dunno...what does it taste like?"

Merlin laughed. "It tastes like cinnamon and a bit spicy but not much, its one of my faves." He showed his jar to Niall and Drew and giggled. "I can help you guys if you want, I'm good to go and I squeeze everything in. I'm sure my cake will be a sandwich when I take it out but, it will still taste good. But since you have two jars you have more options and no need to squeeze things like I did. Chocolate skellys are good too. How about Pumpkin fizz? They are quite good just didn't get to fit them in my jar. I have enough candy so it's fine."

"I-I don't think I should keep this one..." Niall said. He looked over at Magnus and then dropped his voice. "I was gonna give it to someone to give it back to him. Ya know, after I left. But I'd like the help."

Merlin grins and whispers to Niall's ear. "How about we fill it for him and then I can give it to him, but you write him a note, ok?"

He grinned. "Deal, but no roaches or blood pops, cos that's nasty." He looked at the jar Magnus filled, "but those mice pops look good." He pulled a few colours to try and slipped them in his jar.

Merlin nods and smiles. "The mice pops are good, and no worries I think the roaches are nasty too and blood sounds totally disgusting. He needs sweets and chocolates." Merlin picked a few things for Magnus and let Niall pick the rest, he also helped him pick a few things for himself. "How about jelly slugs?"

Niall appreciated the help. Merlin was pretty cool--so was Drew actually. He smiled as he was helped in filling the rest of Magnus' jar as well as his own. It was starting to become kinda fun and Niall seemed a little braver. "They aren't like real slugs," he asked, "right?" He picked up a couple of Skeletal Sweets and placed them in both jars.

Drew had to smile at the effect of the ice mice on Rosie. As she blushed while trying to express her condolances, he tried to reassure her. "It's okay, Rosie...thank you and Niall." He smiled at both of them. He didn't want to bring anyone down with depressing talk so he didn't say anything further about his family and was grateful when Merlin came over.

"You are getting sillier by the minute, my friend," he chuckled, patting Merlin's shoulder. "but I love the fire breathing. I think I'll add a few pepper imps to my jar too. I like cinnamon flavored things and it'll be cool to chase Bridget and Flora and breathe fire." He grinned mischievously.

Drew was glad that Niall seemed to be enjoying himself more and more. He smiled as the boys continued to squeeze more goodies into their jars. Glancing over at Magnus, he gave his friend a wink, not wanting him to feel left out.

At Niall's question about the slugs, Drew said, "I hope not and I don't think so. That would be worse than some of the more disgusting flavors in Bertie Bots Beans."

Drew giggled as Merlin mention his probably squished cauldron cake. "that's why I'm buying mine and my fudge separate," he said. "I rather have a cauldron, not a sandwich. And yeah, I'm going to try some of the pumpkin fizz."

Merlin was all smiles, he can't be anything but that when he is inside heaven so he shrugs to Drew's comment about wanting a cauldron and not a sandwich. "Well I don't discriminate, the flavor is still the same. It will be puree when it gets to your stomach anyway." He laughed at Drew's disapproval look and then asked Niall. "Do you want me to squeeze one in your jar or would you rather have one bought? It can fit inside if you put it at the end but I add it first and then bury it. It was my bad but if I didn't squeeze it, it takes too much space."

He then shyly looks at Rosie. "Well if you want I can squeeze it to you too...a cauldron I mean..um..just forget it." He slap his face thinking he was a moron. He could see Magnus laughing at him from the corner and Merlin made him a face.

Magnus nodded and smiled at Drew and Merlin. He was content drawing. Currently he was shading in some boxes of cauldron cakes.

Niall's jar was almost full. He tried not to say anything about the Bertie Bots, afraid Drew or Merlin would buy him some. "Why does it matter if its squished?" he asked to the boys. "It still tastes the same."

Rosie giggled, thankfully without chattering teeth as the side effects had worn out. "My jar is quite full already, thank you Merlin" she managed to get out in her giggle fit. She chose that moment to run of and find some crystallised pineapple and pumpkin fizz to try out. She returned with some of the pineapple and held her hand out offering some to the group.

Merlin had a triumphant smile. "EXACTLY! He wanted to do a high five with him but both Niall's hands were full so he magic them up so they could do it. "YEAH! Now this is a smart kid, shall we squeeze the goodies or what?" He was grinning and pulling him toward the cakes. "That one looks yummy." They were all the same but to him they were different so he picked the one he liked. "This one was made with more love so its for you." Merlin squeeze it in and Drew's face was of total disapproval, like Merlin was committing a crime. "It's not like I'm doing an unforgivable curse you know and we can't let Niall miss this delightful cake."

Merlin smiled and took the candy Rosie offer but had no place to add them to, so he just ate them. "It fits in this jar!" He rubbed his tummy and laughed.

Rosie almost doubled over in laughter as Merlin squeezed cakes in jars. "Anything else you want to fit in there? I can get you some." she asked.

Drew rolled his eyes and shook his head. "Guess I'm just a purist when it comes to cauldron cakes," he said as he selected one and kept it separate. "But I do totally agree that squished or not, Niall has to experience their deliciousness." He grinned.

"Thanks, Rosie," he smiled as he tried some of the pumpkin fizz. "Ohh!! It's like fizzy bubbles all in your mouth...and nose," he said with a giggle. "It tickles!"

”Thanks Rosie.” He took a piece of the Pineapple and tried it. His face scrunched up. “It’s too sweet.” He shook his head. Niall laughed as Merlin hovered his things so he could high five him. Then the boy was practically dragged over to put cakes in his jar. The other boys were getting very silly and Niall was amused.
