Tamsin was serious suddenly. "Well she might already be waiting for me not only because of the time but the students that left earlier on their own may have told her about what happened or maybe not, they were all pretty angry and I understand. I just hope our friendship is intact."
Merlin smiled. "I have to report with you anyway, and I won't say bad things about you because despite the fact that I got really angry with you, well I already forgave you since you did so much for everyone and I guess you were just trying to protect us the way you know and what came to mind at the moment."
"Thank you Merlin, I appreciate that." They reached the edge of the forest and were finally back to where they previously left. "Oh great, the pumpkin juice cart is still there!" She ran toward it and took one bottle. She drank it in one go. "Ohhh that was sooooooo good!"
"Look guys we have food! Dinner is ready!" Merlin ran toward the table and started picking food. "There's a table for us too, great! I'll bath after dinner."
"I'll report with you Tams!" the boy said. "S-should I go to the owlery and then come back?" Magnus felt very awkward right now and had no idea what to do.
"I'm going to take Paul to the hospital wing and anyone that needs healing, then I'll go see the Appoline. I think you can eat and then send the owl, he is ok just pass out." She looked at the students already serving their food in plate. "I don't know if I'll make it back in time for dinner, but I'll make sure to see ya all before I go." She waved to Magnus and left with balloon Paul.
Merlin looked at Magnus. "If you want to go to the owlery first go ahead, I'll be here waiting for you. I'm going to eat lots anyway." He giggles.
"Wait Tams," he said scrambling to get his sketchbook out and copied the unicorn picture, handing it to her. Magnus nodded. "I'd rather go send the letter real quick." Then Magus went to the owerly a fast as he could and quickly wrote a note to Jean telling her where Paul was and what happened. Then he picked the owl that looked the fastest and sent it off. Finally he returned to Merlin and started stacking food on his plate. He was so nervous though.
((got to catch up with you guys :) ))
Drew continued along with the group and he was glad to see the lights from the castle again...until he was reminded of the possible trouble that Tamsin might be in. He wasn't thrilled with the idea of saying goodbye, but it helped that they were already planning to meet again as soon as all their schedules allowed. He was glad when Magnus remembered the unicorn picture and gave his friend a grateful smile.
The sight of the food and drink had the boy's stomach growling and as the others went over to get food Drew walked over as well. The pumpkin juice was the first thing he reached for and then after a few swallows, he took some of the food and put on a plate. He munched a bit as he waited for Magnus to return from the owlery and when the other boy rejoined them, he looked at both Merlin and Magnus. "Do you think it will be bad for Tams?" he asked. "I'm really worried about what the others might have said...and with how much still has to be told if the headmistresses doesn't already know."
Merlin blinked. "I forgot you were that fast, truth is you could have left us all behind yet you didn't. You are good friend Mag." Merlin gave him a piece of his cake. "That's my thank you - I love that cake, but I have another piece." He smiled. "Can you believe we made it back in one piece? With all that happened I had my doubts at some point." He puts a big piece of carrot in his mouth and continues. "Do you think i should go together with tam to see the headmistress? I thought it was better for me to go later since they are friends and may want privacy. I don't know if I should even go see her unless she asks."
[Edit] ((OOC: Because Leaf is here! =D ))
"I hope the other have said nothing, yet I don't know if Lee will be in trouble, after all..he murdered someone." He opened his eyes. "I'm still shocked, that was scary."
"Thanks, Merlin," Magnus said taking the cake. He guzzeled down a lot of juice before he started in on his plate. He blushed when Merlin said he was a good friend. "I try. And I think you are a good one too. "I ope not. I'm worried though, she doesn't seem to expect it to go well. Maybe we should wait, see what she says and if it didn't go well we storm 'er office and demand to be 'eard?"
"I hope they haven't said anything either but who knows," Drew said. "It was scary...and gross too, but it was like he was out of control for so much of the time." He bit his lip and said quietly, "No offense but I'd rather have a werewolf like Mags around. And I still don't get how he was a dog and a dragon both." He shrugged and grew quiet thinking about everything that had happened.
Looking up again, Drew smiled and said, "I think you're both good friends. And yeah we could storm the castle...literally. I just hope the headmistress will be understanding about Tams. She did her best afterall."
Merlin nods. "I agree, let's wait and see." He then smiled. "You think I'm a good friend? I hope I can be. I have no experience since I never had friends before, I mean I get along with many of my house but I don't know if they consider me their friend...I'm a bit reserved sometimes so it doesn't help." He was thoughtful since he was worried about Tam. "I just hope the headmistress knows that all that happened was in self defense, even the bee guy since Lee was just trying to save me from the killing curse, so I'm grateful." He still was worried. "I just think she will tell her that...well that she should have brought us back immediately and she didn't."
[Edit]
Merlin answers to Drew. "Lee used an enchantment to turn into a dragon, that's all."
"Lee did the right thing. 'E saved Merlin. The bee guy was about ta kill 'em. It was totally self defense." Magnus shook his head. "You don't know what you are saying Drew. Werewolves are not something you want around during the full moon. There's a reason lots of people 'ate us. We are killers."
Magnus nodded to Merlin. "Yeah I'm worried she'll just be all it was my fault and negate what she did do. And see, you are a good friend cos you're worried to."
"I can't speak for anyone else in our house, Merls, but I consider you a friend," Drew said. He sighed a bit at Magnus' comment. "I guess you're right," he said quietly. "I don't know a lot...but I know who I trust and consider my friends." then he grew quiet and turned his attention back to the food on his plate.
Merlin nods. "Werewolves are dangerous, yet I don't hate you Magnus." He pats his back. "You just need extra care." He smiled at the thought of being a good friend because he wanted to be a good friend. "I hope she comes back."
Tamsin didn't had the chance to see what Magnus gave her, but she guessed it was the drawing but she prefer to look at it after the talk with the headmistress in the hopes that it will give her comfort. After leaving Paul in good care she talked to the headmistress and informed her all, all the details of their adventure she was obviously in shock and upset for all the dangers they faced. It was a fact that she was irresponsible for not bringing the students back when she could, but she was torn between two duties. In the end the whole incident would be left in the hands of the Ministry after she gave her report, for now the headmistress was very angry with her friend but glad she got the flowers she wanted. Tamsin went back to the students to see if they were still eating and they were still there chatting. "Hey." She waved and sat next to Merlin. "I came to say...till next time. Things went better than I expect it but everything would be put in hands of the Ministry, so they might come to interview you guys. I just hope the other students don't speak so ill of me." She looks at Magnus. "Paul is fine and will stay here until he is awake, you can visit him then. I now have to go."
He didn't know what else to say. "I guess," he said in a small voice. Then Tamsin cam back and Magnus put his stuff down and have her a deep hug. "You take care Tamsin. I 'ope everything goes okay for you. I'm really sorry about this." He had tears welling for the auror. "I'll check on 'im. You saved 'im so alls 'e's gotta do is sleep now."
Raising his head at Tamsin's call, Drew laid his plate aside and went to the auror. He waited while Magnus hugged her and then gave her a tight hug of his own. "thank you," he said quietly. "for putting up with me...and all of us...for protecting us as much as you could...for being you." He swallowed hard, not wanting to get teary and then stepped back and said in what he hoped was close to his normal voice. "See you soon, Tams. Hogsmeade will never be the same after we all get together and visit."
Tamsin hugged the boy back. "You take good care of yourself and stay away from the Moon." She smiled. "Oh, thanks you so much for the drawing, I love it and surely my mom will too. I am so grateful for all the help all the students gave me, thanks to you all mom will have a smile before she dies. It can be anytime now, hopefully I'll get to her on time." She took the capsule from Merlin's backpack and took out the flowers Arrow left for the students. "Hope that flower remind you all of our little adventure." She then remembered something. "I almost forgot, I got three earrings left and I need to buy new ones after this expedition, but I want you tree to have one, so in case you need me I can find you. You can call me through it, it's enchanted - just don't use it to talk to me as we are doing now - it only works once so better use it in an emergency." Tamsin hugged Merlin and then pull Drew. "You won't get away from me." She grins
"I'll do me best," he said to Tamsin. "I 'ope it makes 'er feel special and loved like I know she is." A few tears splashed down his cheek and he wiped his eyes with his arm. "Thanks for the earring. I do 'ave me ear pierced." It wasn't a girly one so he just plopped it in his ear. His hair covered it almost immediately.
Drew smiled at the hug and took the earring. "I'll take good care of it, Tams," he promised. "And don't be surprised if you see an owl that looks a bit odd...he's got a few steamwork-like places on him, but his name is Cosmo and he's mine. In other words...I'll likely send you letters in order to save the earring," he smiled.
Tamsin grins. "It suit you, the earrings is just a small black ball so it won't look girly. I have my ears all pierced and keep them there in case I need them."
Merlin put his on. "I have one ear pierced and will always wear it- even after I use it." [Edit] Tamsin nods. "I'll make sure to reply to your letters Drew." She smiled one last time and stood up. "Well my boys, see you in Hogsmade." Tamsin left the boys, she had tears in her eyes when she gave them her back. 'Thank you boys, you made me feel special for once.' Her silhouette disappeared into the night.
"She's gone." Merlin has his face wet and even when he tried to wash it off, the tears kept coming back. "I already miss her."
He waved to her. "I miss 'er too. I feel so bad for 'er. I wish we were in Ogsmede now..."
Drew looked down at the small earring in his palm and curled his fingers around it as the tears escaped to trail down his cheeks. there was no holding them back this time. He simply nodded at Merlin's comment. How could he not miss one of the people he'd spent so much time with and been through so much with. Even though he knew they had plans for later still a part of him felt that he'd lost something special. "I'm glad we made her feel special," he said in a husky voice, "cause she is."
