Merlin wasn't sure about Magnus food, it surely was meat. "Do you have anything vegetarian?"

Tamsin nods, of course he wouldn't have a good mood with Full Moon. "It's better to be cautious than sorry." She smiled at the boy. "Maybe you should do like the marauders and hang out when the Moon is full, how about that Merls? Drew needs to work on his animagus form."

Tamsin smirks at the cheeky comment from Drew. "Yeah, we could say handsome...for a little boy."

"I've got some whole wheat rolls in my bag, Merls," Drew offered. "And some candy. that might be all that don't contain meat that I brought. Sorry."

Tamsin's suggestion had Drew smiling. "That would be cool to all hang out but I'm afraid I'm a failure in the animagus department."

Drew stuck his tongue out at Tamsin and said lightly, hoping she wouldn't truly get upset or offended, "Well we're even then, since you're attractive...for an older lady."

Magnus stopped and started rummaging in his back. His head was in it rather deep. Meat, meat, pie--with meat... then he found the second banana. "Its a little battered, but got the banana from this morning." He pulled it out and handed it to his friend.

"I don't think I'd be allowed too," Magnus said quietly. "Dad and Paul come 'ere every full moon--they oversee the shift. But they could come to the dungeon... unless someone can convince them."

Merlin accepted the rools from Drew and while chewing he said. "Why you say you are a failure? Have you even try it? It's a long process at first but then, you get the hang of it...cept don't ask me how to keep the clothes on." He laughed hard and almost choke with the bread.

"Don't speak with your mouth full Merlin!" She hits his back hard. "Better?"

His eyes were red. "You almost leave me with no air! Why are you so strong?"

"I workout, I'm an auror."

"Paul works out too," Magnus said.

Drew was a bit concerned when Merlin choked but had to chuckle at Tamsin's way of handling things. Then he shook his head at Merlin's question. "No, I've never tried, but I thought it was something special, like not everyone could do be an animagus. Me, I'd just like to master some spells, especially the patronus one. I tried it on my own out on the grounds at the castle one day, just to try it, but I couldn't make it form completely."

Looking over at Magnus, Drew said, "I would like to hang out with you and Paul and your dad, if I'm allowed to."

"It takes awhile to get a patronus. And I can't stand in front of a fake dementor without fainting, so there's that."

Magnus shrugged, "I don't see why you wouldn't be. I mean if an auror says 'e needs a student, they don't really ask a lot of questions."

Merlin loved bananas so he thanks Magnus and takes it while smiling. "It's a pity if they won't let you, we can start by testing first. Paul can check on us...I don't know, we can visit you at first maybe? But would be cool if we can hang out."

Merlin sighs and tells Drew. "I'm sure you can do it if you try it. It is hard, especially the Mandrake leaf for one month, but..once you master the spell you won't even need a wand. Most wizards just don't think it is worth their time or effort."

"Yes because you can't even chose what animal you transform into, and your patronus will most likely be your animagi form. Can you do a patronus Merlin? Because it would be one hell of a cool patronus!" Tamsin asked.

"I can't yet...I'm working on it."

"Awesome!" Drew said. "I hope your dad and Paul will say yes. I like Paul and I'm pretty sure I'll like your dad too...and yes I want to see his ears." Drew blushed a bit. "It's just amazing still to me that there are so many different things here. I mean I read a lot and grew up with magic in the house but I'm finding out it was on such a small scale. And even now I get the feeling I'm really behind on what I should know and be used to. But I'm getting there." He smiled and then gave Merlin a quizzical look. "Mandrake leaf?" he asked.

"The visiting I'm sure 'e'll say yes. The rest, I'm not too sure. Though under the wolfsbane I am safer, I don't know." He sighed. "I've love ta know what my animagus would be, or would've been..." He sighed again. He hated what his patronus is--it wasn't remotely amazing to him. "That's the good thing about 'ere you don't stay behind long."

"Well.." Merlin looks at Drew. "Part of the process is holding a Mandrake leaf in your mouth for a whole month and is horrible and hard to do. Especially for eating." Merlin looked curious at Magnus. "What is your patrous? It is believed that since your patronus is your spirit animal and so is your animagus form, that both should be the same animal. So you should have transform into whatever is your patronus."

"True, that's why I think your patronus must be cool..a dragon." Tamsin smiles. "My patronus is a tigress, it's very nice."

"But what about those that their patronus changed? Paul's was a lynx and it changed to a phoenix." He looked mortified. "I'd be...a... no thats too horrible." He kicked the ground. "I'd be a stupid butterfly." A tiger would be cool.

Drew smiled at Magnus. "Good, I'm glad to hear that they will probably say yes. And I'm also glad that I won't be behind for long."

"A whole month?? With a leaf in your mouth??" Drew frowned. "How DO you eat? And how do you not swallow it, especially like when you're asleep or something? Can you still talk?"

"A tigeress is so cool, Tams!" Drew said. "It's my favorite of the big cats." He was curious what Magnus' patronus was as well and waited to hear the answer to Merlin's question.

"A butterfly?" Drew looked at Magnus in disbelief.

Tamsin smiled. "Yes some patronus change and that is when the person changes so much inside, yet if you are an animagus, you won't be able to change form. You will still be that animal." Tamsin replied to Magnus, then after hearing he was a butterfly she smiles wider. "Oh, but butterflies are wonderful and they represent change too so you are probably someone able to transform yourself and those around you."

"Yes a whole month and I mostly drink things, everything was a puree or a soup, that's how I managed. I have no idea how I didn't swallow it, but I did a few times before finally doing it. I barely slept, I was a mess." Merlin laughs. "But it was worth it. I wanted it bad because I wanted to feel part of this world." He lifts his hands and looks up to the sky. "I feel that as a human I can't connect as well, I'm just weird like that."

Tamsin nods to Drew. "My favorite as well, felines are one of my favorite animals too."

"Yeah, that's what Paul said about why 'is shifted."

"Expecto patronum," Magnus said waving his wand. A little butterfly shot out of the wand, flew around Drew, Tamsin and Merlin then glided out into the night.

Magnus' mouth was drawn tight and he did not look happy. "Its stupid and girly and a bug. I 'ate it." Well it wouldn't be worth it for him to put a leaf in his mouth for a month.

Tamsin and Merlin smiled. "It's pretty!" Both said at once and then looked at each other surprised. "I believe there is a high probability that your patronus will change, one because of what I said before of butterflies representing transformation, and also because you are still very young and you will eventually have many changes in your life that will most likely change it, so don't be so sad." Tamsin touched his head lightly.

"I like it, it's better than mine - a bit of light." Merlin hung his head, then looked up when he heard a noise coming their way. "A horse...or a centaur is coming this way." He looks at Tamsin. "Could it be Arrow and his people to banish you?"

"Could be." Tamsin looked worried, then he appeared.

The centaur Arrow slow down and approach the now diminished group of students and auror, in his hands a basket with flowers.

"Good evening students and auror Tamsin, I've come as soon as I could to bring you this gift to you auror and to the students. I believe you still needed those black flowers so somehow I managed to get my hands on several, hopefully enough to give one to each student and for you to take the rest. It is my way of saying thank you for saving me and sorry for trying to scare you away with my stories. They were true, but maybe a bit exaggerated." He hold back a smile and handed the basket to Tamsin. "The flowers are of good fortune and hold mysterious magical properties yet to be discovered." He looks at Merlin since he knew the boy was curious and always testing plants on his own. "It is unfortunate that my people would prefer for you to never put another foot on this grounds, but your banishment have been abolished but comes with a warning, that if you ever cause more destruction in our forest, the price to pay would be bigger than a banishment."

"I understand." Said Tamsin while she accepted the basket. "Thanks so much for this gift, even when I don't deserve it. I wish we can meet again in better circumstances."

"I'm sure that if I ever meet you again it would only mean trouble, but we are sure to meet again." Arrow gave a nod with his head as goodbye and left their company immediately after.

"Now this sure is a surprise, we got enough flowers here for everyone. I wonder where and how he got them, a mystery I won't ever find out for sure."

Merlin grins. "If I meet him in one of my escapades, I'll ask him and owl you the answer."

"I would appreciate that." Tamsin smiled and kept walking toward the castle.

"I guess I'll have to think about it some," Drew said, not sure that he was up to trying to tackle the ritual of finding his animagus form.

As Magnus cast the spell, Drew's eyes widened. "Wow," he said in awe. "Mags, just the fact that you can do that so easily and almost without thought is amazing! And Tams is right, it symbolizes what's inside of you...not only change but also new life. You had a chance at a new life after you were adopted so that part fits. It also symbolizes endurance...which you have...I mean look at what you've gone through and still go through once a month. And a butterfly can also represent beauty...which you share through your art... and hope. Personally I think it fits you, my friend. It might not be a big, fierce animal like you like, but it shows your soul to the world because you're a person who can change and endure and bring life and hope to those you meet."

As Arrow came up to the group, Drew stayed quiet. He rather liked or at least admired the centaur. The basket of flowers was a surprise and he smiled. Once Arrow had left, he said, "I'm so glad that they decided not to banish you, Tams....or any of us for that matter."

Tamsin was excited. "THAT WAS SO SWEET DREW!" She squeezed him a minute. "That's it, you are officially a cutie pie., even when you try to hide it." She winks.

"You think so?" Magnus said looking at her brightly. "Oh I 'ope so." He smiled. THen arrow arrived and Magnus smiled, he'd been wondering how to get her more flowers. "Oh that's great! 'Ow many do you 'ave now?"

Drew's words had been ones that had been said to him before. Whilst other seemed to think that it was a good thing he didn't like it at all. "'Opefully it'll change, like Tamsin said. Something worth bothering with a leaf in me mouth for a month... though I guess it'd probly not 'appen... it'd be almost impossible for me to not swallow in the transformation."

Merlin grins to Magnus desire to change his butterfly and not wasting his time to turn into it. "At least it is something small, if you want to sneak and hide it's perfect..how can I try hiding or being undetected as a dragon?" He laughs. "Pretty impossible."
