Eirik laughed out loud. "Were that we could turn into bats, Magnus. I'm still hoping that animagus potion will work on me. Love to know what my inner animal is."

"Probly a jackass..." Magnus said with a snicker. "I doubt one would work on me that's for sure."
((ooc lmao))

Eirik just stared at Magnus for a moment, then burst out laughing. "A jackass, seriously...?? hahahahaa "

((OOC: curse my time zone! I came back to 5 pages of RP so please excuse me as I try to catch up.))
Excited about the curiosity and the chance to ramble about her favourite topic - Runes, Ariette launched into a fast-paced explanation filled with hands flying everywhere and at one point, cast a mid-powered Flagrante to draw the runes in the air with her wand. "Most commonly used in Northern Europe, Elder Futhark runes are the basis for not only the modern languages but also 'later' runic alphabets like the Younger Futhark and the Anglo-Saxon Futhorc variants. Now you could use Anglo-Saxon Futhorc which would have more magical power in England than Younger Futhark but as the Elder Futhark is the root of the alphabet, it is more efficient and powerful to use Elder Futhark directly. A little digression... Hogwarts, as I'm sure you're aware, is steeped in ambient and collected magic from centuries of magic being used here along with the castle's proximity to ley lines. With the correct runes or runic sequences, you can create charms or amulets that don't require a caster to charge them up since they will draw on Hogwart's ambient magic. These charms are best carved onto stone found naturally on Hogwart's land, and by the user intending to use them or somebody close to them. For you, I would recommend using the rune Uruz as a base as it is known to enhance physical strength, health, energy, and" ,she paused to smirk lightly, "masculine potency"
She paused to take a deep breath and think about the best possible runic combination "I would recommend combining Uruz with Eihwaz, Algiz, Laguz, and Sowilo for a strong boost to your health and strength. They represent (in order): Eihwaz represents Strength, Reliability, and Endurance Algiz represents protection and is used to stabilize and channel your charm. Laguz represents the healing power of water, imagination, and can aid with silent or wandless casting. Sowili represents for Life-force, Health, and Success. It will also aid your relationship with your magic and you"
She cut herself off before she could talk more, aware that she had basically begun to lecture her newest acquaintance. Luckily, a slightly dishevelled young man interrupted and saved her from embarrassing herself further. She sat back to watch the conversation that unravelled and visibly started when Magnus mentioned Eirik. Merda, she cursed to herself and quietly moved to sit behind Magnus, hoping the meat shield would distract the other slytherin vampire.
((OOC: hahaha BATTY im dying. Sorry about the runes digression, it's going to be my area of focus for a thesis if my transfer into classics gets approved so i'm currently knee deep in runes (you should see my room, rune charts everywhere HAHAHA) ))
Ariette nodded slowly, recalling her familiar's constant attempts to trip her "If I could bruise Signore, I think we might have had a competition for the most bruises caused by tripping. In any event, you're always welcome to leave your robes with me at night and I shall have them fixed up in the morning. Nothing much I can do for balance however signore"
((OOC: oh gosh i'm so sorry about that This is what happens when you RP half-asleep hahaha))
((OOC: That sounds so fabulous! Russia certainly is a bit of a dangerous place to be right now but might I suggest China as a possible place to go? From what my grandmother tells me (she did her degree on Russian History as well), China has some pretty great programs in place and some places like Fudan (renowned for their "arts" subjects) teach courses in full english :D ))
((OOC: I'll probably use signore for everyone unless your character tells Ari to use their first name, she's just stunningly bad at recognising social cues and probably will continue to call people she considers friends by a formal title long past what is considered "polite"))

Eirik had, of course, noticed Ariette, but had chosen to ignore her. He had found this to be the best way for them to get along in the past. She was a house mate, so he had avoided any unpleasantries when they had to interact, as in classes, but now, here she was, and he was feeling chatty. Besides, Magnus was rubbing off on him, and he felt inspired to try.
Eirik turned around to face the vampire. " Hello, Ariette, " he said in a pleasant tone. "How are you enjoying the workshop...?" Eirik was clearly trying to have a polite, casual conversation.

() Ariette was slightly taken aback by the unusually nice Eirik, and cautiously responded "Greetings Signore, the workshop has been quite interesting. I find Durmstrang to be very intriguing, had I known about how cold it is, I would have applied there instead.", she pulled out two blood pops and offered one tentatively to the other "Blood Pop?"

Eirik smiled, and accepted the pop. "Thank you. You like the cold..? I was quite happy to enjoy the warmth of Hogwarts."
He lowered his voice to whisper, knowing that she could easily hear him. "Honestly, Durmstrang is a superior school, in my opinion, but I don't want to speak ill of Hogwarts. Personal preference for the curriculum back there, " he said with a wink. "But, " he added, his voice returning to normal volume, " I am finding that Hogwarts has it's charm, and I have grown quite fond of...a few things." He smiled.
"What have I missed so far..? Have they covered other schools yet..?"

Ariette smiled wistfully, "The cold, it makes it easier to think and not to concentrate on all the scents around. Every time somebody gets mad, chilies!!! It's enough to drive anybody mad. The black lake makes up for everything, personally. Slytherin is very lucky to have such a view in our common room. Owing to a pressing need to prevent my gluttonous Erus from coming, I arrived late enough to only catch the tail end of the Beauxbaton speech so I believe we both missed that. "
(((OOC: I'm operating under the assumption that empath skills manifest differently for individual vamps, so some of em will taste emotions and some of them might smell emotions and others might just simply see colors or shapes etc.)))
It would have been more weird if those two didn’t get into some sort of fight, Fade thought as Eirik () and Magnus () excused themselves. He found himself wondering if maybe they weren’t dating. He hadn’t seen Kat for a while, not even in the dorms. But the idea came and went and he didn’t dwell on it. Not like he even knew the first thing about any relationship besides being friends. Maybe if he didn’t get detention so much he would actually get the chance. But did he want one? The idea of smashing his face into another person's face kinda creeped him out. Hell even sitting too close to another person made him feel weird.
As the workshop got back underway Fade shivered thinking of being cold 24/7. There must be self contained warming spells the Durmstrang students could use. If not they would probably all be interested in the “hot hands” his dad kept in the garage for when he was fixing one of their cars. But if they didn’t let muggleborn students in the school they would probably disregard muggle technology as well.
As for the food, Fade was feeling quite full. But he indulged in sketching a few of the Smørrebrød. Maybe he could talk a house elf into making some for him later. In fact, with this many transfer students it was a wonder some of these foods weren’t being integrated into their usual meal schedules. Speaking of, Fade glanced over and his hands got sort of sweaty. A slight chill ran down his back and he refocused on his drawing realizing he totally boggled the one he was working on. “Lift the pencil up idiot.” He muttered at himself under his breath as he went to erase the mistakes.
((ooc you forgot to ping me, lol so sorry for the late reply)) ()

Eirik nodded. "Yes, the lake view is quite wonderful. I missed out on the Beauxbaton presentation..? Pity," he said with a slight snicker. "But I got here in time to eat and enjoy the presentation on my former school, so i suppose that is good enough. Your little one likes to eat too, hmm...? My cats would have been laying in the buffets, Kiki dragging off eclairs, Murdock sneaking fish and things..messy, so messy it would have been."
Eirik noticed Fade glance over at , and smelled his body chemistry change. Inwardly he chuckled, because he knew what the boy was feeling all too well. He allowed himself a moment to daydream, then forced himself back to reality.
He checked to see that Magnus was doing alright, then opened his blood pop and began sucking on it.

((OOC: finally finished playing catch up!))
Sauvage returned from her loooooooong detour by the food with a Smørrebrød - loving the smoked salmon. She walked over to Eirik when she noticed he was eating something not from the tables. "What's that?" She asked sweetly, trying to make simple conversation. It looked like the boys had figured out whatever had been bothering them and this seemed as good a time as any to get to know Eirik apart from the big group. The vampire always seemed to carry himself in such a way that suggested he knew of a whole other layer of interactions going on in the room - like a mind reader or something. Sauvage tried to remember, but to no avail, what abilities were unique to vampires and if that explained his general atmosphere. Besides, she'd looked up slowly to find Fade () drawing over in his seat, looking somewhat bothered, and thought it better not to disturb him at the moment.
"Well... it does fit..." The boy said with a twinkle in his eyes. Then the vampire girl was launching into a large explanation which was so full of names that the 12 year old's head was spinning. And then she was on about male potency and he turned scarlet. He also noticed she was sitting behind him... awkward much?
Magnus was feeling uncomfortable trying to keep up with the vamps. He looked over at Fade to see if he was uncomfortable. But he couldn't tell. The boy ruffled his hair and stood up. "I'll be back..." he said with little warning as he got up and slid out of the workroom.
( )

Eirik smiled at Sauvage. He held up his pop. "This..? This is a blood pop, given to me by the sweet Ariette, my house mate, my distant kin, " he said, laying it on a bit thick. He was aware of Magnus getting uncomfortable when Ariette spoke of male potency ( and he inwardly chuckled...poor guy..) but was surprised he got up and walked out.
Eirik tried to resist the urge to go after him. He looked over at Fade to see if there was any indication that something was wrong with Magnus, but saw the teen drawing. So he stood up.
"If you lovely ladies will excuse me for a moment, I will be back soon, " he said, and walked out of the workshop, looking for Magnus.

Magnus was heading around the corner when he smelt Eirik. "'Ey," he said mildly.
Sauvage bit her lip as she watched Eirik () run after Magnus (). So, apparently she was off when she thought everything was good again. She wished she could help, but knew there was nothing she could do. As far as she knew, it might have even been something she said that led to this. Although, she didn't think she'd said anything wrong...Ugh. She sighed audibly and found a seat next to Fade (). Then she thought better of it and decided maybe she shouldn't be around any of the boys right now, in case it was something she said. So, she got back up from the chair and walked over to the girl with silver hair who she had yet to introduce herself to - Ariette? ( ) Is that what Eirik had called her?
" 'ello. My name is Sauvage!" She said awkwardly, literally twiddling her thumbs in the process. "So...Durmstrang. It is interesting, no? Was there anyting that you found particularly of interest to you? I am not a fan of the ooniforms, but from what I can tell their food is very delicious." She smiled and nodded her head towards the Durmstrang table and the little amount of food left on it.

Eirik walked up to Magnus, looked down at him. "Was it me this time, or something else..?" he said quietly. "And do you want to talk about it..? If not, are you at least ok..?"

He shook his head. "No, not you. Just... I don't even know. The vampire girl was talking so fast and 'alf of it I'd wondered when she switch languages cos I didn't understand it... and then you an' 'er were talkin' vampy stuff and..." he shrugged. "Some 'ow i'm feeling overwhelmed and I can't explain it which makes it even stupider."

Eirik listened to the boy and felt his inner turmoil. "Maybe, you want to take a walk, get some air or something...? I would come with you, if you wanted..not talk if you don't want me to..just, you know, be there.....?"

He shook his head. "You're fine. I don't even get it..." He sighed. "I feel so worn out." He sighed, Eirik had offered before, but Magnus had been very stubborn this time. Yet he looked at his shoes and said..."c-could I... er... I mean... I... " he gave up and blurted out, "oh give me some of your blood... please."

Eirik looked surprised, but then smiled. "Sure Magnus, sure thing. It might help." He pulled out the small pocket knife he had started carrying since his neutering. He held out his hand and made a small cut on his thumb. " Here, " he said. "Go ahead."
