Sauvage smiled genuinely. She couldn't help it. She probably would have started crying if the room wasn't full of people. She hadn't realized how lonely she'd been feeling until Magnus said what he did.

"Thank you." Her voice was thick, obviously constricting under the pressure of her emotions. She cleared her throat and tried to act like she hadn't just been pulled from a dark room of isolation when Eirik () rejoined them. What were they talking about before?

"Um, you said you are dating someone, yes?" She said to Magnus. " 'ow is that going for the two of you?" She swallowed, trying to push down the pressure that was building in her chest, and noticed she was still smiling broadly.

He nodded aware he was a bit young to be dating by most people's standards. "Yeah, she's really cute. Name's Katsumi. Its going alright. Teachin' 'er how to draw and she's teaching me some Japanese."

Drew had stayed quiet and listened to Emmett's talk about Durmstrang. While he'd never really had any interest in the place, it was neat to learn more about other wizarding schools. Even though Drew loved fall and winter, he knew that he wouldn't like the constant cold of Norway.

As the talk concluded, the boy watched all the interaction between the little group across the room from his seat. He frowned slightly as a couple of the boys left and returned a few times. This was nothing like what he'd imagined the workshop was going to be. Biting his lip, Drew briefly wondered if maybe he was in the wrong place after all. Hogwarts seemed different from his Mum's stories. Hearing the words werewolf and vampire and seeing how they acted made him feel a bit uncomfortable. This was decidedly out of his league. He'd been excited at the chance to meet, mingle, and become friends with witches and wizards, but he'd had no idea that so many of them were something other than fully human. Drew glanced around feeling as though it should be him that left the room. After all there was nothing special about him. He was about as plain as you could get, being the offspring of a history loving witch and a Muggle who aspired to be a writer.

Taking a deep breath, he glanced over at Emmett and Millie and then made a decision. No, he wouldn't leave. He'd try one more time to keep things on the topic that he'd thought they were here to discuss. With a confidence he didn't totally feel, but trying to be a more forceful Slytherin, Drew called, "Hey, Emmett, I like the everyday uniforms. They look comfortable." ()

"That is sweet," she said. Her eyes got a far away look as she thought about her most recent relationship "I 'ad my first boyfriend, several months ago. 'e was very kind to me, but I realized that we never 'ad much in common. 'e asked me out on a few dates and I said yes, but not because I actually liked 'im. I wanted to like 'im, but it is not the same and I did not want to 'urt 'is feelings." She blinked, realizing that Magnus and Eirik didn't ask her about her (nonexistent) love life and blushed. "Sorry, I am talking about myself wivout you even asking."

Eirik finally kicked Magnus once under the table and gave him the 'you are so annoying little brother' look, but he did smile. He watched Magnus and Sauvage talk while he ate, then his attention was drawn by another person he swore he had seen around the common room in passing.

Eirik snorted. "Matter of opinion on the comfort factor," he said out loud, "looks can be deceiving."

Drew was a bit startled at the other boy answering instead of Emmett. "So what's not comfortable about them?" he asked curiously. "The tunic looks...well not exactly sloppy, but loose and easy to move in. And I like boots." ()

Eirik looked over at the boy. "As I said, it's a matter of opinion. In my opinion, I didn't like the material, nor the cut of the shirt, it doesn't give as much as you would think it does...boots could have been better fitting too." He shrugged. "Just my opinion."

Drew nodded. "I don't guess there's any way to try it for myself," he said. "So do you like the uniforms at Hogwarts better?"

Sauvage flushed red - she completely forgot they were still in a workshop! She was just so comfortable with everyone here that it almost felt like being in the Common Room, just relaxing. She leaned back in her seat to hear what Eirik had to say about the Durmstrang uniforms.

MAgnus laughed when Eirik kicked him back. "Your fine, Sauvage. I should've asked, it was rude of me not too. I'm sorry." Then Eirik and the other boy were talking...

Eirik considered for a moment. "Yes, I do actually. More items let's you layer and un-layer as you need. Better fit, definitely softer material, makes you look more like a gentleman than a soldier. That's also good and bad, depending on the image you want to project, " he said, smiling.

Eirik was glad Magnus stopped kicking him, but he would get him back...maybe he would eat some of those waffles he keeps eyeing up.

"Which one do you wanna look like," Magnus asked unware of Eirik's nefarious plans for his beloved waffles. ((ooc night night ))

Eirik looked at Magnus. "Are you asking me..? Of so, I would say that I have hit that stage in my life where good grooming and fine clothes are very appreciated. Gentleman, of course. "

And with that he got up, walked to the table with those yummy waffles on it, stared pointedly at Magnus and began to put some on his plate.

He nodded. That's what he thought Eirik would say. But then the fiend was taking those lovely waffles... Don't raise to it, he warned himself... he's baiting you.

"Well if it's as cold there as you and Emmett say, I can see why you'd like layers even here," Drew said with a bit of a grin to Eirik. "I'm no soldier, that's for sure, but I'm not sure I'd call myself a gentlemen either. I'm somewhere inbetween and closer to slouch at times," he admitted. "I tend to like comfort and free flowing cloaks and robes and loose shirts." He watched as Eirik went to get more waffles. "Those are sure some good waffles," he commented with a smile. "I enjoyed the one I ate. Having a second one is tempting."

Eirik nodded. "Clothing is subjective, and you can never just say one thing is good for everyone. That's why I don't like uniforms. " He looked at Magnus again, then smiled. "Are they that good..?" he asked his house mate. " Well, you should certainly come and have a second one, I am sure I will. "

( , , ) Ariette joined in on the laughter "You also missed our esteemed prefect Merlin in a cute little Beauxbaton cape. Your former school? How was your time there? .. Ah yes, he's utterly unashamed. When I heard there would be food here, I had to bribe him to stay behind. I doubt anybody would enjoy the sight of a small snake try and swallow a pile of pancakes whole. He found the kitchens in the first week and terrified the house-elves into feeding him copious amounts of sausages. By the time I found him, he had eaten so much, his body was essentially sausage shaped lumps."

Her amusement at her familiar's antics quickly changed to an incredulous horror-filled wince at Eirik's description, and was incredibly relieved when he left. She made a note to herself to apologize to Magnus for the information overload.

"Oh Dear... It appears I've done it again---- Oh! Salve, my name is Ariette. Ah yes, I was rather interested in the topics they study there. Nothing against the Hogwarts professors but I can't help but wonder what the Charms and Potions classes are like there."

When Magnus walked back in, no longer looking a walking corpse, her suspicions were piqued. She decided to keep quiet however, one does not meddle in another Vampire's affairs after all.

"Ah Signore, I must apologise for my behaviour just now. My mouth tends gets ahead of my brain sometimes unfortunately. I do hope you'll be able to forgive me"

If Eirik could be civil to her, there was no reason why she couldn't do the same. She tapped him on the shoulder during a lull in the conversation. "May I speak to you Signore? Privately?"

Now Eirik was encouraging the other boy to have more of those delectable goodies... curse the vampire. Magnus refused to rise to the bait and pretended to not hear either one of them... he hummed the Drumstrang's school song loudly.

"Oh, its okay. I will totally 'ave to have you 'elp me. If you would, be willing too." He said to the girl

Not missing the looks going back and forth between Eirik and Magnus, Drew grinned. He knew teasing when he saw it. Standing up, he said, "Yes, I think I will. After all Millie did say to help ourselves since there was plenty." He went over to the table to get another waffle. "I'd say food was a bit subjective just like clothes, but these waffles...not many would want to try them I'm sure. Too plain for some. I guess that just leaves them for you and me." He grinned at Eirik.

Eirik was surprised to see Ariette at his shoulder. "Of course, Ariette, whenever is convenient for you."

Eirik was more than thrilled to see the other boy was playing along, and he gave him a smile, and a nod. "Yes, all for us, and no one else, " he said, adding another waffle to his plate.
