Magnus glanced at the unknown girl. Then a chair slid towards him but Magnus didn't take it. "Thank you kindly, but if its all the same, I'll make me own," he said quietly in his thick Cockney accent, giving her a smile. He edged a little away from the door and waved his wand in a swirling motion. It was a very comfortable looking chair and the exhausted boy sat back in it with a sigh. If he wanted food--he'd have to summon it. But for now at least, he was out of the way and hopefully not a disturbance any longer.

[img align=left]https://i.imgur.com/4kHj7oR.png[/img] Poppy was shocked when she felt the custard splatter on her face, but she was more surprised than upset. "Ahh! Oh my god!" She laughed, thanking Millie (), who hurried to clean the chocolate from her sweater. Her host reassured her that the handy charm didn't leave any stains. The poor boy () blushed redder than ever.

"Hello Ariette (), Magnus ()." Poppy's attention was diverted by the new arrivals. "Their Durmstrang lecture will be next. May I fix either of you a plate from that table, or from Beauxbatons? We're just through with that presentation." She grinned wryly, "I definitely recommend the fruit tart, but can't say the same of the eclairs."

The boy waved at Poppy. Her offer to fix him a plate was greatly appreciated. "I'd like that a lot, thank you." He gave her a smile.

[img align=left]https://i.imgur.com/4kHj7oR.png[/img] Magnus () seemed so tired. Poppy noticed that he looked even paler than usual, and was sitting in the squishiest armchair in the room. With that in mind, she assembled food from both the Beauxbatons and Durmstrang tables for him. His selection was made up of cheese fondue ladled over meat, vegetables, and bread; a piece of fruit tart; a full glass of mineral water; several Swedish meatballs; and a slice of smørrebrød. She placed the glass and plate on the end table next to him and pulled up her own chair. "You're welcome and I'll be right back."

Poppy took two pieces of the smørrebrød and the meatballs. She refilled her own glass with mineral water too, even though glogg was one of her favorites in the winter.

"What's in your bag?" The Durmstrang cuisine wasn't as pretty as the French food, but it was very tasty nonetheless.

Magnus looked at all the food and couldn't help but wondering if his gauntness contributed to the assortment of foods... or wait, didn't she ask if he wanted one or both? And he hand't said... "Wow thanks," he managed to reply. The question about his bag caught him off guard. "Me sketch book, some pens, pencils and markers and some strength potions. Why?" He started nibbling on the meat fondue.

[img align=left]https://i.imgur.com/4kHj7oR.png[/img] The thin boy () looked taken aback at the variety of food on his plate. "You don't have to eat all of it, but I couldn't decide what to get you," Poppy chuckled.

"Just curious. I like bags a lot. I use a satchel now, but I think I should get a rucksack for class. Your backpack looks nice and roomy. I almost threw out my back with the amount of Astrology homework we got. Otherwise, I think Professor Palladino is great so far though." She admittedly ruefully, "His lesson was the most serious I've ever taken an assignment about predictions before. Professor Trelawney must have thought my inner eye was blocked."

"Fair enough, I really appreciate it. You can look at it if you want. Mum bought it at this leather work place in Wales, shouldn't be too 'ard to get you one if you'd like. I use messenger bags too, but me rucksack seems to be my favourite." He blushed when she started talking about the Astrology home work. "Oh, I gave up understanding it and made up stuff. I don't 'ave high marks at all."

(OOC: Sorry if all these seems out of order, for some reason the last posts didn't show up to me until I posted, so I couldn't read them.)

Merlin listened and nod to her answers and then added. "We may not have winged horses but we have Thestrals which are also a breed of winged horses just well different since they have skeletal bodies and bat like wings...also not everyone can see them. But they are very gentle if you happen to see one, they are not evil at all. I like them." Merlin smiled and added. "Plus there are tons of interesting creatures in the Dark Forest including unicorns, acromantulas, centaurs, hippogriffs, and some believe even giants live there. How cool is that?!" Merlin was way too excited. "Of course there are plenty more creatures, I'm just mentioning a few...and there are many rare plants as well." He felt like everyone was staring and shut up for a moment while trying to smile.

Merlin opened his eyes when he heard Emmett's story. "I don't like being cold at all. I love Hogwarts even more now." He giggles. "I rather not be though than be cold."

A giggled escaped Merlin's lips after the bumblebee comment from Millie. "I have to thank the hat for sending me to Slytherin since green is my favorite color, I would die if I had to wear red or yellow- I don't like neither of those colors. I do like blue." He then added. "I guess the skirt must be non practical, especially during the winter. The girls can always wear something similar to the boy's uniform then."

Merlin spotted Magnus and how bad he looked and felt bad, somehow he noticed he felt uncomfortable with him there so he tried to reassured him it was ok. "Hey Magnus come on in! They have lots of food, you seem to need a bit, you look pale buddy." Merlin smiled and signal him with his hand to come inside quickly. "Come on, we ain't going to bite." It was a joke, not to make him feel bad for being well, what he was but to try lighten up his mood.

"You...aren't mad at me?" Magnus asked quietly. He frowned slightly. He sniffed the smørrebrød and his nose wrinkled and he set it back down on his plate. Maybe Kippers would eat it? The waffles with the loganberries looked far more promising. "Yeah, I know..." he said slowly, "I look terrible."

Merlin was confused. "Why should I be mad at you?" He smiled. "We all have different opinions on matters and react different to things, that doesn't mean I am angry with you. Chill, just try these fried yucca, it's very good." He put the yucca on his mouth without waiting for him to respond if he wanted them or not. "Good, right?"

Merlin decided to try a matchup of the Hogwarts and Beauxbatons uniform and magic his clothes to give it a try.

"Not so bad." GRINS. "What do you think Millie? Not that great but not so terrible."

Magnus shrugged and looked down. "Cos I was getting angry and 'aving control issues... Cos you left but like stayed in the woods, so I thought it was me fault and maybe you were...I don't know...wanting to be far away from me cos o' what I am. And, I understand if you do..."

He took a piece of the yucca looking hesitant. "What is it?" he asked sniffing it. Cautiously he took an edge of it. "Tastes like taters..." he said with surprise.

Millie smiled at Drew (). "Anytime. Let me know when is good for you." Millie saw Magnus () enter looking flustered and not well. "Hi Magnus. Everything okay? Anything I can do?" she asked while handing him the papers. "The first page is the information you missed on Beauxbatons. We're going to get started on Durmstrang in a few minutes. We'll let you catch your breath and get something to eat and drink if you'd like. Let us know if you have any questions."

Millie saw one more student enter. She didn't her so she greeted her. "Hello. Welcome. I'm Millie and this is Emmett." she pointed to Emmett who was picking at a pretzel role. "Here is the packet of information. Help yourself to the food and let us know if you have any questions."

((ooc - I'll be posting Durmstrang's lesson tomorrow afternoon, hopefully around 4:30 EST.))

"'Ey Millie," he said, "Yeah, I know--I look like death. It was a rough full moon is all." He took the papers with a nod. "Thanks. Sorry I was late."

"That's okay, Magus. I understand. Let me know if there's something we can do for you." "if you're up to it, the Coxinhas and fried yucca are amazing."

"Just tried the yucca... it takes like a tater mostly. What is Coxinhas? I ain't really tried much other than you know, British and American food."

"The Coxinhas are shredded chicken battered and deep fried, sort of like a chicken nugget. And the waffles are delicious too" "Sorry if I'm pushing too much food on you. It's a German thing. No one goes hungry in my family"

MAgnus laughed. "Don't worry I'm used to it. I mean I'm looking more like a skeleton--everyone wants me to eat. Sides, those waffles and berries dooo look really good."

(it sooo is lol I don't know how I actually lost weight when I was an exchange student cos my German family kept foisting things on me--making me have thirds lol.)

"Take you as much as you want. We have more in the kitchens if we run low on anything."

((It really is. That's funny because I have some cousins who are second and third generation German and we'll have family reunions and they won't let anyone leave without at least one platter of everything that was served. We have food in our freezer from last year's reunion LOL))

"Okay," he said with a chuckle sampling the waffles and finding them delicious. "This is really good."

(that's awesome lol. I lived in German for 7 years but being an exchange student was so cool even if it was only a month. Can't say anything but positives having been there :) stayed in a castle one night once too--man that was awesome)

"Thank you. That's a common breakfast at Durmstrang. Emmett insisted on them." Millie looked over and Emmett was now covering his pretzel roll in cheese fondue"

((I would love to study aboard. I'm looking into graduate schools in the UK but finding the program I want to study is more difficult than here in the US. I got to repeal off the side of a castle in Wales. That was really fun))
