"Well, what do you think it is?" Sauvage stood from her squatted position and folded her arms across her chest. She could only hold eye contact with Magnus for a mere 10 seconds before she broke out laughing again. She held her hands up in surrender. " Okay. 'onestly, I was raised in a very feminist 'ouse'old and eet would be totally against my upbringing to make any generalizations of what eet means to be a woman. Because every woman - and man, for that matter - 'as zeir own definition and I cannot say zat my definition is what every 'woman' should live by." She shrugged helplessly, wishing she could have said something witty or mischievous instead, but this was who she was.
Magnus smiled. "Dad said women are mysterious and its best to realise that they're a mystery you'll never solve but will always enjoy it--because if you love 'er you realise trying to work out the mystery is what keeps her so alluring--women are magical." He blushed.
Sauvage blinked for a moment then smiled and said, "I was not expecting such a serious answer from you, Magnus." She nudged him in the shoulder playfully. " 'oo knew you were such a romantic?"
"Well, that was me dad... but I did read a lot o' romance novels in the orphanage. My old 'ead Mistress there loved readin' 'em so I nicked 'em to read. And I was a 'orrible flirt before I started dating Katsumi. Now I just flirt with her mostly."
"Zees might sound weird, but I love to flirt." She laughed nervously, "In case you could not tell." At this, she purposely did not in the direction of Fade at all. She'd embarrassed herself enough with him for the day and he seemed to be uncomfortable when too much attention was brought to him. "Of course," she continued. "Living in France, flirting zere is not such a big deal as it is 'ere."
Magnus didn't think minded so much and honestly it was cute... that hair flip was amazing, even if it hadn't gone right. Maybe when Fade wasn't around he could ask her to show him how it was done--for research.
But the boy had no idea how to comment without drawing attention to Fade.
"Nothing wrong with that. Hey, 'ave you ever been to the louve?"
(( Just found out that my mom has to have emergency eye surgery in the morning. Gotta convince myself to sleep now somehow so I can go with her. Will catch up when I get a chance. x.x ))
( oh no, I'll send you and her healing thoughts -hugs- )
((lol "for research"))
Sauvage squinted at Magnus, for a moment not understanding what he said. Then it dawned on her.
"Oh! The Louvre? 'ave I been there? Oui. A few times. My fazer 'as some friends in Paris because 'e went to school there so we visit occasionally." She tilted her head quizzically. "Why do you ask?"
(( so I just freaked out a little bit for you. Get some rest! I hope all goes well.))
"Sorry, me pronunciation is off. Cos I've been a few times but not see the whole thing and then for some reason it occurred to me since you lived in France you might've...you know... gone?" ((hey, that's a mystical power of the hair flip, it must be studied. ))
Sauvage got the feeling that Magnus was staring at her hair, making her extra aware of it. She began twirling the ends distractedly and said to him, " No, your pronunciation is not that bad. It's just - I 'ave not heard a non-French speaker say French words very often, so I 'ave a 'ard time understanding what they are trying to say. So, as the famous phrase goes: eet is not you, Magnus. It is me. Anyway," She threw the hair she was playing with over her shoulder; she was done with it now. "Does zat mean that you 'ave been to the Louvre as well?"
Poppy had been studying the presentation boards while the others were chatting around her. She thought the Ilvermorny uniforms were the best looking ones she had seen by far. Merlin () was talking to a girl with the longest hair she'd ever seen. Poppy smiled and waved at her ().
(OOC: Sorry guys, I was away for the long weekend and am just home now!)

She was whipping her hair again and the boy was mesmerized. How did she do it? Were there secret lessons girls got that boys didnt? He didn't think so because he didn't remember anything overly mysterious with the girls in the orphanage... so then how did she wield this hair flip power? Maybe it was something only girls knew--a genetic imprinting on them... was there a way to research this?
"No," he managed to say coming out of his thoughts, "its very much me. I know I talk like I got marbles in me mouth. Yep, two times. Still ain't seen it all, but its amazing."
Niki looked up and noticed that Merlin ()had wondered away. She wished she had gotten a chance to tell him that she meant no offense at all, she was just so new to this. She thought to herself that surely another chance to interact and tell him so would rise eventually. She looked down at herself and wondered if maybe she was wearing too much of her house colors. She shrugged at herself and thought maybe she'd tone that down a bit in the future, don't want to seem like the new girl forever. Just then, she noticed a girl waving at her, () so she waved back.
Niki wondered what else she had missed while she was not paying attention. She shrugged and walked over to listen to the conversation happening nearest her. She didn't know them yet, but they looked nice. The girl was flipping her hair around very naturally and it was quite entrancing. ( and )
Outfit Not Found Magnus noticed a girl he didn't know beside them. "'Ello, you wanna join us?" he asked. "I'm Magnus."
Outfit Not Found Fade was glad to take the backseat on the conversation. He never really was that comfortable articulating his thoughts and feelings in front of a large group anyway. Hell he had a hard enough time with one on one interaction.
Poking around under the table he was able to locate his pencil and started absently hatching lines on his paper while listening in. Had @/Sauvage been talking to anyone else besides his bestie, (@/raven) he probably would have felt a little jealous. But then again, it wasn’t like he had any right to be possessive of her. Not like he would ever be brave enough to ask her on a date. The idea of romantic interaction made his heart palpitate, and he assumed that was what girls expected when they were taken out. His mother had always said he had plenty of time to learn this and that, but now he was sort of wishing he had any practice at all on the subject before now.
He hadn’t intended to, but he had hatched a few flowers and something that looked like a mango on his paper while lamenting his lack of life experience. Looking up he realized another girl had arrived, someone he didn't recognize but who was very clearly a Ravenclaw. (@/poppy) A slight blush touched his cheeks but that was expected.
( love the ha you've got on. the claws and wings play so well together!)
Magnus saw the flower and ... Mango? Fade was drawing... and shook his head. He slid closer to Fade and showed him the first rampaging flobberworm (soooo what my ha is lmao) and pointed to his paper. "Your turn."
(OOC: How come I've missed so much?)
Merlin was happy with the idea and just decided he should ask his mom. "Alright you do that, I'll ask mom if I can go and take Meolc..hopefully no problem." He then realized he had to leave. "I'm going to apologize, but I need to finish a few things for the workshop, so I must leave early. Later!" Merlin waved to everyone in the room and excused himself to Emmett and Millie on his way out. "It was a great workshop, but I really must go now."
(i talk tooo much)
"Okay," Magnus said waving and looking forward to the dragon trip.
“Oooo!” Fade leaned over Magnus’s drawing and soaked in the details. He found it very amusing that the largest worm had ab muscles. “This is killer. Needs more rubble.” He quickly added a few more stones and bits of exploded building. “Think the astronomy tower should be on fire, right?” He knew Magnus hated the class and wouldn’t object.
(( , thank you! Need something while I get all gross and virussy again. I love yours too, it's perfect XD ))
