God, I love these changes and am so looking forward to seeing these implemented! Especially the filters of the CW database will make it easier for non-CW peeps to find items. May I suggest a per layer filter? The complaints on the newspost made me remember the way the old CW shop was built up, and shit did I have a good time browsing through layers finding cool items! (don't forget to exclude locked items though...)
Man, this is making me excited to dig up my old files I still haven't submitted because of my fear of things not filling - unfortunately not made out of money to get these onsite all by myself xP
Thank you for these changes, . Let's hope that they help the CW market! (And whatever you decide to do with the Pawn Shop it'll be welcome!)
[edit] Silly me, I didn't look at the news about the pawn shop!
I am so happy and relieved with these upcoming changes!! Thank you for always listening to us and thinking about change so quickly !!
THE LAST ONE. BYE WORLD. I'M SOBBING.
So how does reducing item number in batch to 6 work? Would it be basically the same price as how much 6 out of 10 would cost? Or would it be that 5k for 6 items to be submitted kind of thing?
What i drew 4 years ago is so, so far away from what I draw!
I've been typing and erasing my message for half an hour now, and trying to find an accurate reply to your message. I don't want to sound elitist or annoying or anything lol
I'll just say that I do understand your concerns - and I think that if we are provided with better tools to help, it's something more artists would love to do. As it is now, it's pretty hard to raise awareness of cws, harder even to gather resources and make them available to everyone!
ahhhh okay the only csc id be looking for, is to help with the subetabox. I've been pouring csc every month to make this happen (and uhm... pawning items sometimes because lack of funds, i plead guilty im sorry).
I totally want to make some tutorials though, I just need to figure out how!
omg im so excited with all those changes, thank you so much!
AAAHHHH!!!! I am so excited for this. I woke up at like 4 AM and saw and wanted to type something out but I felt like that would have been a disaster so I'm doing it now. Thank you so much for all the changes that you've made lately. <3 I'm so excited to see how things like this effect Subeta going forward.
I had another idea last night and I'm not sure if it's been suggested before either: But sometimes I feel like people also struggle to fill low batch items because their personal copy & artist copy take up room for profit. What if there were like a way, where when submitted, the person releasing got a copy (or even the artist for that matter) instead of counting it into the batch total. I don't know how this would effect things, but I figured it might be worth suggesting. shrugs
~ CW Group ✰ CW Releasing Thread ✰ My CS ✰ CW Wishes ~I am so happy about all of this. ;u; These changes will help sooooo much. big thumbs up Thank you these changes are great and I'm looking forwards to see how things get even easier and enjoyable for people.
i know, super vague, i didn't mean to be lol i guess i'd just really love to see your approach to coloring because i know everyone has their own flair! if i can think of anything else more specific i'll def let you know <3
are you kidding???? i would love that dude. i'd be totally enraptured the whole time! LOL
Great news, I am looking forward to the changes!

I wouldn't mind helping with putting together a tutorial. These are some really nice changes, especially the batch amount and the recolor checkbox to help speed things along.
I know this might seem a longshot or anything or doesnt make sense much but do you guys think its possible to have like a pinned thread showcasing cw artists and some items theyve drawn?
I really loved the subeta artists tumblr page back then, where they featured an artist and some recent work/ one of their fav work showcased
Idk cause Ive really liked looking at the amazing art the people bring on to subeta and it also gives inspiration to others (well at least me!!) I couldnt draw stick man art before I joined subeta but I managed to learn bit by bit with the help of amazing artists and also friends who gave pointers along the way (and yes most of the people I know are on the cw threads cause Im a hermit and dont spend much time elsewhere on the forums D: )
It also helps even with a slight chance to maybe encourage artists to venture into CWs? :0
i seem to be lacking at words to explain my suggestion OTL sorry my brain is fried at 2am
[edit] oh oh and i saw the csc lottery thing. what if we made it a cw lottery instead? like people could buy tickets for idk 1 csc each? or 10 csc? and the prize would be a random cw from the pawn shop (so that we could have random items cleared from the shop slowly?)
though im not sure if its a good idea if winners pawn it again lmao
Kind of in the same vein of what just said, but would anyone be interested in a single, perhaps pinned board where you can post your items for sale and link to your shop?
(Basically you can only post an item ONCE, and you cannot ping any groups to that board. It's just a directory that people can subscribe to. It wouldn't be a place for chatting or anything else either. Just specifically you'd post "I've added a new item to my shop, here is the info and here is a link to my shop!")
?? Does this sound like a feasible thing anyone would like / that would make ANY amount of sense or be helpful in any way?
I think it would be helpful to the people who don't like getting customwear/other filler pings pings, or when you're gone for 3 days and you have like 250 pings, then you don't necessarily have to go through all of them. Would it be available to only the artists or to everyone?
It's kinda similar to the Released Custom Wearables List/NewCW' board but I love the idea of having links to the shops :) And then seeing what's actually available at the time~
I remember when we used to have one of these (or at least, something like this before the r200 forums), and to be honest, I prefer separated as it is now. I just think it would become clogged down with posts too quickly and be hard to navigate through what is and isn't for sale. Although, the limit on how many times you can post an item/how often you can post/no chatting would certainly help with that. It would be neat if posts on a thread like this were deleted once the item sold (similar to the pets in the pound board), but then we'd lose pricing information and there would be a lot of work for the mods.
SO IDK!!! I think it boils down to a personal preference for me, but I can see the benefits. I personally just like the individual forums because I don't have my comments or mailbox bogged down with trade offers. It's also easier for me to keep track of cw trades in particular. Obviously, with shops individual threads will probably become a little more redundant/useless, but EHHHH.

Re: CW Changes
When are these changes expected to go into effect? I'm just wondering if I should hold off on releases for a second if it'll be any time soon.
The idea I proposed would be for items that aren't yet on site specifically. So you wouldn't be posting items you directed to shop, or accepted / approved items whatso ever. And it would be up to probably each person who posted to go and edit that their stuff was sold out or delete their post. (And it would be anyone releasing an item and needing interest to take slots on!)
@ Mesmer Oooh that would be lovely, then the first batches can potentially get submitted faster o Love it!! We can edit our posts to say 'delete' and then whoever can delete them can go over it once a week so the topic can stay open for quite a long time :D
Edit: Can mods/minimods delete posts?
Ohhh, I see what you're saying!! I thought you meant for CWs in user shops or something. I could see how this could be useful, yeah. I feel like there's a lot of items I just don't see but are still slotted for, so this would be a cool way to raise visibility for them. I still think it might move a little fast, and I don't think everyone would go back and say items are or aren't sold out on their original post (I would forget TBH). I think it would need some level of modding/deleting and what not to keep the post clean and easy to look through.
Yeah that's true too. I wonder if it's possible to appoint like, a moderator for a single forum? like a couple volunteers or something so it's not all on one person... I know in personal forums we can mod them, but it's really hard IMHO to get people to join a ping group for the forums T___T
