Just relaxing today, and rehearsing what I plan to say during my interview. A neat trick that I learned in speech class is to write down keywords on an index card, it'll jog your memory if your mind goes blank. I'm sure it'll happen, there's just so much for me to remember.

Thanks! I wasn't able to get much stuff for my tree last year so I made up for it xD I've heard some complaints about using the forums on phones after the recent changes.

I tried the new wardrobe last night, seemed to run well and no errors popped up so I think it's safe.

Bunch of elixirs and the same stuff library quests give out so far.

Hope you don't have to spend too much time out in the cold! I'm always wearing slippers if I'm at home, and if it's cold I wear fuzzy socks and slippers.

Yay for day off, boo for sick kid. Hope they get better quickly and don't spread the plague to everyone else!

WOW itza cold morning >.<

Woke up before 4 but I'm pretty sure I went to sleep before 8 last night. (think it's better that I don't remember) I just know I was ready for bed by 7 and watched... hmm, don't even think I made it through an episode of The Flash. :D Slept moderately well so I'm ready to go.

Dr's appoint for my youngest and then hopefully I find the tree I saw online at wallyworld. I honestly just want to hibernate - and it honestly may happen this weekend, lol. Really hard to find any kind of will for the motivation I need to do anything when it's this cold and dreary out. Soooo not a winter person. At least I have a vacation day today and I added it on top of my long weekend so I don't feel the need to rush on anything... although the stuff I still need to do is totally destroying me. 😞

And hey, I'm always up for memory tricks! :D I know plenty about association and have actually learned quite a bit about how to recognize patterns and remembering things, but ironically, I forget about implementing them some times. :P

When I was searching online (at Walmart - my like go-to store) for the ornaments I saw last year... black w/ gold on them... I didn't see nearly as much as I did, then. Pretty disappointing. Then I started searching at Target - which charges at least $5 more on the same stuff - and while they had a little bit more, it was still a sad selection..... BUT... I saw some GORGEOUS pink ornaments that I may totally do if I can't find the black & gold I originally wanted to go after. XD
IK IK!!! But I'm not ready to do the 'normal' colors on a tree, just yet. (And trust me, w/ a white tree, the possibilities are quite extraordinaire ;) )

Not sure our plans today. Was going to go roam around but my brother didn't get to any of his baking yesterday so we might just go out to fill up the car and visit one shop and then come home and help him at least get all his doughs ready for his Christmas cookies. He always makes a ton of them.

Yeah, still in Kentucky until tomorrow morning sometime and then we'll head home. As far as I can tell from the weather channel online we haven't been getting snow up there. Should get snow on Sunday though so I guess if we need anything I'll have to stop on the way home so I don't have to go out on Sunday.

Good to hear most of you are not having trouble with the new wardrobe. If I have time tonight I might give it a go.

Check out craft stores! I've seen Michael's have a whole aisle of pink ornaments, and a lot of it is on sale. They might have black too, the store tends to have unusual colors.

I hope you get to take some of those cookies home with you! Glad to hear that you won't be driving home in the snow.

We won't be getting the cookies now, but he'll bring a lot when he comes up for Christmas. Last year he brought us so much we kept a box frozen and had them at Easter. xD

Hopefully you don't get any accumulation, although the temperature is what really gets to me. It would be nice to have those high altitude snows, where the humidity doesn't make the cold feel like it's seeping into your bones.

I've never been a fan of Michaels w/ their exorbitant prices. >.< While they do have a lot, so does Amazon (or anywhere else, really) for a lot less. Yawn. Good afternoon everyone. All white outside. It was light all night because of the snow glow. Hanging out with dmy today watching mystery movies. Her step-daughter, the older one, has been staying here at nights so she can get to work in the mornings without having to go over the hills in the ice and snow. Works well.

My interview turned into 2 interviews (original + follow up), I think it went pretty well! My throat is sore from all the talking though. Fingers crossed!

Really nice to let her stay over. I remember the icy hills near Boston. One time we tried to stop for a red light and the car spun around :O super scary!

@ gryphongrl While I can kick my own ass for saying this, it would be nice to see a white Xmas. I love snow, but only to watch it fall and gather, but not to drive in or dig my car out of when the snow plow buries it. (I have to park on the street, even though I live in a house) It sounds like a nice enjoyable time you're having w/ Dmy. I'm a little envious. ^^

@ nekoschu That's so funny that you mention jeans as being the highlight of the job.
We're really lucky that we have a moderately 'remote' location and an "all week pass for jeans and gym shoes" was approved shortly after I went to days. At nights, it was pretty much anything besides booty shorts, which I would never wear, anyway. :P Our more central office is downtown Cincinnati and they have stricter rules.

I was really feeling the relaxed dress code, especially since I got home and discovered my heels gave me a blister. Being able to wear jeans and sneakers is definitely a perk that matters to me!

I was good w/ a $15-20 pair of flats and a bunch of clothes given to me (and a thrift store) until I got on nights and then, when they relaxed the dress code. I've since gotten very used to heels (b/c I love them) and still shop at the thrift store and Walmart. :P
Unless they're stretchy jeans, I'm not so comfortable in them and even then, most seem to be the type that go below the belly button and exacerbate the muffin. >.<

About pants...I loathe shopping for them. But tonight I braced myself and bought a new pair so now I have two pairs of wearable pants and about a million shirtsXD

Unemployed and working from home so my usual 'work ware' is pj pants and a t-shirtXD
