Because, at least for me, it's still just as easy to catch the birds as it was back when the game first started, so I'm thinking that something is broken for you and that you are correct when you say it shouldn't be that difficult. I tried making fondant flowers once, they were suppose to be simple. Well, they weren't. Painting on cakes is much easier.

~ The snowman making competition was, I think, back in the beginning of 2016, and we broke into teams. We had to get snowballs to help make the snow creations. I was on Team Nature (Emma & Esther) then. Most of this group was Team Shark (Blake and Elwood). The competition got fierce and there was allegations of cheating because of, I think it was either a glitch or an auto refresh being abused. Team Nature was such an awesome team during all of the allegations and we befriended a few people from Team Shark, so our chat boards intermingled. Despite that one blip, the competition was fun and it was really neat to see the snow creations being made. I don't remember who won anymore but I did get some mice Subeta friends out of it. So, I'm not an original Sharkie, but one due to being on Team Blake.

Yeah, pretty much what said. This group was originally for people who were on the team for Blake and Elwood during that competition, but a lot of us also joined Team Blake during the Omen Islands plot. So this group expanded a bit to include some of our new team members from the second event.

Really though, anyone is welcome here for idle chatter or as a group to participate in events with. 😊

I think it was team Hot Dad that won, at least I know it was between our team and theirs as the top two for a majority of the competition. I'm not too disappointed in losing though, since all they got was the aqua potion before anyone else (and a small trophy for their profiles). It ended up not being that big of a deal ~

Yeah I was on team Shark and team Blake. Both were lots of fun. Wonder if there will be any more teams to join for anything coming up.

Never hurts to plan for the future and know what weapons you need to save up for

I see now, that clears up where Team Nature and Team Shark are from. I thought they were just random things people were proud of. As for the snowballs I'm guessing that's what the unthrowable ones were for?

yea that sucks, 235 is almost 2/3's of the year!!

Nah, we used the regular ones from the snowball shop that's open during winter. The unthrowable ones that you get from random are just a little weapon thing. I'm not really sure why those can't be thrown, it's just how it is I guess.

But yeah, there was Team Nature (Emma & Esther), Team Shark (Blake & Elwood; it was officially Team Mischief, but we went with the shark theme pretty early on into the competition because Elwood's HA was wearing a shark hoodie), Team BFFs (Nico & Manwar, I think), Team Siblings (Qazim & Sephora), and Team Family (I think that's what it was called, but it was Wesley & his daughter Rumi).

Yeah that sounds right. I wasn't too disappointed about losing either. I liked watching the snow creations come together the best. :)

- Yes, I was originally Team BFFs and then later Team Blake, but I seem to be an honorary shark as well. (How nice that we're all together!) If anyone is interested, I found this which lists the snowman building contest teams and results - Snowman Building Contest Results Unfortunately, I was unable to find any images of our beautiful completed snowmen. :-( I really enjoyed this event and all the camraderie.

Sorry you missed days at the Bathhouse. For what it's worth though, they only began on August 1, 2016, so they haven't been around long enough for both of those numbers to be right. (I think we're on day 286 today.) Regardless, forgetting a day is so frustrating! And trying not to forget a day makes me a little crazy. :-) My goal is to get there every day for at least one full year in a row.

Yes! I was so happy when it became obvious that Team Mischief's snow creation was a shark, and then the monkey on top was the perfect extra touch. I guess it shows they were really lurking through our team threads, because we really jumped on the shark train at full speed pretty much right away. :)

It was a fun little event! I know someone made gifs of the progress, but I can't seem to find the original map images either.

Oh ok I am on day 56 today so it was 215 days the first time and then 153 days this last time around. I remember this last time I thought I had already collected for the day but decided to check at midnight and saw that I had JUST MISSED IT. I was so bummed T-T

I wind up checking about a million times a day to be sure I"ve really visited, even though that's the first thing I do each day. And I'm always worried that something will happen and the string will be broken. (sigh) For what it's worth, I leave the Bathhouse open in the first tab of my browser at all times. I like the Bathhouse, but wish there were some way to skip a day every so often without starting all over from the beginning.

But I was trying to say that the Bathhouse has only been open for 286 days total, so if you're on day 56 and if you had a 215 day streak that only leaves about 15 days for streak number two. (Your numbers add up to well over a year.) I was sort of hoping that might make it just a little less frustrating, but probably not (so sorry :-( ). All that really matters is how totally annoying it is to miss a day at all. I really wish there was at least a Bathhouse widget. There is a ping group, if that would be any help.

- yes, I remember people making copies of the images, but don't remember who or where. I wonder if I might even have a picture on my old laptop. It was one of my favorite events in all my years on Subeta because of how well our team supported each other and because of how nice Team Nature was to all of us. It was really the first thing that convinced me to start being more sociable here. I also remember you doing a lot of work for Team Blake which was (and still is) much appreciated.

Before I just kind of lurked the help & questions threads, posting answers here and there (I still do that too). Now I chat here and during events, and in the battle chat sometimes. I actually don't even know if I had 1,000 posts before the snowman contest, or if I did it was like just barely over 1k. Now I've got way more than that.

The Omen Islands event was fun too! I wasn't really intending to become a team leader or anything like that, until the little tips thread that I started turned into a bigger guide. It was a good event though, and kind of cool that the obstacles and such made us cooperate with each other to complete them quickly. :)
