Turkey vultures (they nest in the trees on the college campus nearby)... swarms of crows, literally thousands of the bloody things... Starlings, brown-headed cowbirds, chipping sparrows, house sparrows, Eurasian house sparrows, house finches, common grackles, either a Cooper's or sharp-shinned hawk (didn't get a good enough look,) an unknown bird of prey that's been around here for at least three years AND I STILL CANNOT BLOODY IDENTIFY IT BECAUSE NOTHING LIKE IT EXISTS IN MY BIRDING GUIDES, melanistic grey squirrels, fox squirrels, rabbits, chimney swifts, and I shared part of the walk home from the corner store with a big ol' possum the other night XD
Deer and turkey and an absolute ton of rabbits lately. Oh and so many frogs! I am happy to see so many frogs this year.
i've seen TONS of cardinals lately, my mom saw a bunny today too. see chipmunks all the time as well
just came back from a trip to another state and it was beautiful ❤️ i saw so many bunnies. at least two a day for a month, and on one occasion, six in one day. i also saw a doe about two weeks into the trip, and then a doe and her fawn during a storm the last week. since i've come home i've seen a couple bunnies here and there, but it's not nearly as nice lmao.
Spent a few days basically in the middle of nowhere and saw lots of wildlife. :)
I moved from a small town where I saw (in my tiny yard) Quail Deer Fox Racoon Squirrels and even a Bear
I've been in the city for a year and I have only seen 1 hare and they are about to build a hospital in the field where it lives.
I'm in the Pacific northwest of the USA.
There are other animals but the ones I see most are the deer. A few times I see a squirrel, quail, rabbit, or coyote.
I saw a wild male pheasant recently with a friend!! And there are a lot of groundhogs where I live, as well as bunnies and deer. Once, a turkey, and a coyote. Also I know this probably doesn't count, but it's so nice to see the fireflies out now!
I've been seen a lot of baby animals lately! Turkeys, ducks, various birds. Lots of deer. Most recently I had a very cool encounter...bats! They were hanging out (literally, haha) in a tunnel on my favorite hiking trail. Just look at these two little cuties. Click for Batty Bats ;v;
I've been seeing a bunch of cardinals and blue jays flitting around lately, and squirrels bouncing about (with either blue jays or mockingbirds, generally too far away to tell, attacking them half the time).
And a couple of dead armadillos this weekend driving to work :(
lately i've seen..... a couple deer LOTS of groundhogs a raccoon stealing cat food plenty of squirrels frogs and there's swallow's i found outside when i was making a bonfire, so i saw some grumpy baby swallows and their mommy fluttering back and forth from her nest !! this isn't my picture, but look how gross and grumpy they are holy sht https://rkmoore.files.wordpress.com/2010/08/8-9-2010_3lr9014_s_1.jpg

I'm from central Europe and there is not much to be seen, but I've seen the local deer family multiple times and a few hedgehogs :) also, vultures (?) flying around - possibly buzzards.
I saw four baby moorhens yesterday while walking back home from work. Maybe not the rarest thing but super cute.
A couple of weeks ago I saw an albino jackdaw as well :3
i see lots of birds! most commonly i see crows and/or ravens, always in pairs or groups, and i can't help but stare at them every time! just knowing how intelligent they are makes them so fun to watch, you know? i feel like it puts everything they do in a different light.
i also see lots of groups of turkey vultures. and a few weeks ago i saw a male cardinal feeding a female and it looked like they were giving each other little kisses... i almost cried
Some bugs I've seen lately are dragonflies, tiger and black swallowtail butterflies, damselflies, orchard spiders, praying mantises, and grasshoppers. Also this giant red wasp-like thing that carried itself around like a drone.
Woah I've never seen an albino animal in the wild before. Was it interacting normally with other jackdaws?
@ holden it looked liked it was as it was part of a larger group. I didn't have much time to watch it though.
Now that it's summertime I can add roadrunners, garter snakes and whiptails to my list of desert wildlife sightings.
