In the winter time we get wolves rummaging thru our trash cans (So we have to keep them locked in our garage until Tuesday- trash pick up day)
A grackle and some sparrows by the birdfeeder. Or are they wrens?
I also saw wild Turkeys when I was in Massachusetts the last week of August...

on friday i saw black swans, ducks, a turtle, some fish, 3 squirrels, and a seagull. they were on/in the lake in a really big park uptown. the squirrels were in the tree or on the ground. one of them was black with a white belly. the other 2 were brownish? So cute!
I really have to update my blog ObscureJourney and my review site BeingObscure. French speakers can read my reviews here.
That sounds terrifying! I'd be afraid to go outside, haha. Can I guess you're from northern North America?
I went to the park yesterday and there's a sign that says "no salmon fishing." It seems a bit late in the season but I look down in the creek and sure enough! Bright red salmon struggling to get up the creek. There was one, then two. And a few more farther up. I felt a little bad for them, seeing them struggle. Like how nice it would be to scoop them up and land them in the lake! Oh well, best of luck to them.
- yep- I'm from Minnesota (supposedly we are the us state with the most wolves -they estimate 3,000...which to me sounds way too low to take them off the endangered species list but....our state is greedy and wants $$$ from big game tourists)
We also get raccoon and crows as garbage thieves too. Our neighbor said one year they had black bears going thru their cans. It's an adventure here lol (all revolving around trash)
Aaahhh, we have a bunch of wild rabbits who have been in the garden, and hummingbirds. Its really nice. We just moved out from the city into a more rural area...First time ive seen anything but pigeons in almost a year basically!
we've been in central maine for a year now. havent seen any moose but ive made friends with: -a groundhog eating clover in the yard of a bakery closed for the day. came right up and sniffed me for a while. was super chill. theyre big! -an otter living in our river ive seen evidence of when i kayaked (a den underneath a huge bleached fallen tree on an island in the middle of the river, scattered shells of river mussels discarded everywhere and en masse at said den) first running from me in the river and then just circling the river near town at night, very chill and letting me take pictures of em with the flash on. was very cute -a pair of mated loons diving in and out of the river, keeping pace with my kayak, being very pretty. last i saw them i just caught a glimpse of them on the river, but there were smaller shapes with them, so i assume they hatched a nest! -a big ol troupe of rabbits that lived in the RV park we stayed at last winter before we got a house. we were the only people staying there as it was supposed to be closed for the winter, so i fed the rabbits carrots and named them frankie, brindle, cocoa, mister brownnose, lil annie, and lil'er annie, but there were more than those. also i learned lil annie and lil'er annie were mister brownnose's kits. i love them and want to visit them soon
i live in a city now but whenever i go to target i pass by some groundhogs that seem to like to just hang out in the grassy area beside a busy road.
i recently saw a mink when i went out for one of my field studies courses!!
I go to school in the Redwood Curtain, so we have a forest, a marsh just beyond the town and the ocean. So here are some wildlife I have seen recently. Ensatina Salamanders (they are cute.) Giant Green Anemones Nudibranchs! (So many) Tardigrades (for class) Shore, Kelp and Dungeness crabs Great Blue Heron Egrets Osprey Deer Mice California Vole Harvest Mice

I live in a city most of the time, so mostly I see tiny lizards. Also, it's a testament to how bad the summer was in my country that I misread the title as "what wildfire have you seen lately".
We have a family of raccoons that have been hanging around our street. A mom(?) and 4 babies. They're usually at the end of our street in the street drain either going in and out of there or just looking out. I also saw a fox last night running across our neighbors lawn. We live in a very urban area so it's rare we see deer or the like, but I see mice/rats, chipmunks and squirrels every day.
White storks on my way back home from work. One day there were seven or so walking around on that meadow.
The other day I drove past a coyote. My first time seeing one in the wild - it was so patchy it almost blended in with the grass and dirt! The next morning I saw a wild porcupine for the first time in the same area, unfortunately dead by the side of the road. :(
I was taking the bus to work and saw an eagle standing on some farmland. It wasn't doing anything interesting but it was probably the closest I've ever seen one. I usually only see them flying off in the distance. It was pretty big too, very majestic lol.
I saw what was likely a sharp-shinned hawk on my way to Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday. It looked like it was wearing little feathered pants. Super cute!
Today on campus for no particular reason crows appeared everywhere. Not really surprising to see a few, but these were large groups. And then there were some sea gulls chillin' around as well. Not too certain why so many were there, but it was nice to see all the crows swarming the buildings lol

Found a huge rubber boa (a little over a foot long) when taking a walk a month or so ago. Promptly named her "Big Bertha" and gave her to my neighbor to live in her horse barn (rubber boas love to eat mice.)
Picture here:
There's a variety of small seed-eating birds that come by. Hummingbirds too. And small brown rabbits

A deer ambled out in front of us on the way home the other day and took his sweet time crossing the road. Didn't even jump, just causally walked... the deer here do not care about anything, least of all self-preservation.
Caught a glimpse of a redtail hawk yesterday as well. We have several locals, though, so that's nothing new.
