yeah this is still happening with pusher disabled, I'm not getting hanging from segment.com though and if I do block it with noscript, it makes things really choppy.
I'm getting this from google-analytics and pusher still. Its been especially bad today. I've got a couple tabs that have been open for 30+ minutes with no change (no refreshing or anything) and they're still "loading".
I agree. This has been exceptionally bad today (and that's saying something). It took forever to finish my quests today because the browser kept temporarily freezing every few seconds. I ended up having to finish quests in another browser without all my keyboard shortcuts that make it faster.
For the past 3 days or so, the insane memory load in Firefox has been back with a vengeance.
Pusher's disabled for me in the site settings. :/ Anyone else having issues with this?
I've been having problems again but I haven't been able to link it to pusher. I'm not actually sure what happened to pusher. I have noscript which I had blocking the pusher script, but now when I check the untrusted scripts list, pusher has disappeared. But over the past few days my firefox has been slowing down and locking up again, causing me to have to restart it. Very disappointing.
I've had to install NoScript yesterday and I haven't had problems since. I only have three things allowed for Subeta on NoScript - intercom.io, subeta.net and cloudflare.com and it's been running pretty smoothly with no crazy memory loads. I've disabled pusher in the site settings when that option was added, so I know that's not doing it this time around.
Here's hoping it'll help! D: Maybe a programmer has more luck figuring out the cause of the problem this time around.
I had to disable j.pusher as the never ending loading was freezing my work computer. But with it disabled not only do I lose the expected (events and sb, which don't bother me), I also lose item and user hovers and the ability to switch year tabs in holiday/event shops.
Its killed my ability to play, more or less, as the best time I have to play is at work. -sigh-
Did you disable it through noscript or through the preferences? I don't lose those functions and I have it disabled through the preferences page
Through preferences. I don't even know what noscript is.
Could os and browser play a part in additional lost functions without pusher? The work computer is hella old. (The manufacturing date on the sticker is 12/29/2005 :'D ) It makes so much noise during periods of heavy memory use. e.e
Noscript is a firefox add on :p
I use an asus laptop and the most recent firefox, but I also use safari on my iphone and I don't have any problems.
Ah. Okay. I can't download add-ons. The only add on I have is Ad-Block Plus because Bossman got tired of the banner ads next to his email inbox.
The work computer is an old Dell running Win. XP and the most recent Firefox.
At home I use Chrome so I didn't really have the never-ending loading issue, but it does seem to lag a bit between actions. I don't get to play much at home though. :/
With pusher enabled I've been getting this warning intermittently for the last few days.
[Kiss=Trubble] [Flower=Trubble] [ToT=Trubble]
I've been getting the same warning as .
thanks for the tip! yet another important feature that i did not know exist. did they ping siteupdate when this was added? or is this just another "we do good, we don't want to brag" update that we always get?
