I also want to point out that this comment from yesterday:
...sounds an awful lot like this comment from way back on March 17, 2015:
So it doesn't sound like anything has really changed in the past 10 months, which I had already suspected based on how slow the wardrobe update is going, among other things.

We had one around what thanksgiving? That was a gift. it wasn't an appeasement. I don't remember another one in that time. maybe a free spin during morostide, I don't recall if any CSC was given then.
problems happen. it's unavoidable. as long as they are fixed, I don't care if something else happens. at least things are being worked on to some extent.
it's like going to a restaurant, your food turns out bad, and you complain. it happens occasionally, even at good restaurants. they sometimes comp your meal, they sometimes offer free dessert, they sometimes offer free appetizers next time. they try to make you less upset so you return again. if they kept having issues and all we got was "we're doing our best to fix this" then something else big happens and "we're going our best to fix that too" without any compensation, people would be upset. the gifts help to make people less upset.
after a certain amount of complaining, it just seems like whenever staff messes up, certain people want to kick them over and over while they're down. Staff doesn't want the site to keep going down. They know what went wrong. They know you're unhappy with things.
Denny's gave away free grand slam breakfasts one year the day after the superbowl. they turned a profit that day. it's not like that 250 csc didn't get used by most people and that's the last csc they'll ever need again.
Subeta isn't have bad times occasionally. It is close to a universal constant. Sky is over my head, cats have four legs, Subeta's acting up
Using your restaurant analogy, it's like my food turning out bad 3 times out of 5. That's not occasional. That's regular. Subeta is regularly bad. Subeta has an history of being bad, having lag, glitches, terrible servers. If Subeta was a restaurant, it would probably have been closed down by the FDA or whatever.
Bingo, . Thanks for wording this better than I could.
We've been told that Subeta made enough to "get by", but not much more. Everything matters, so if everything matters in the long run, why just give away CSC nillywilly?
inspired me to point out this from the past as well:
Yeah, we&;ve been making a really big effort. 2015 is the year of being selective about what we respond to (ie: less of me reblogging tumblr posts at 3am / responding to people who make a habit of posting on every thread with a problem) and directing that energy at realistic problems and explaining choices.
AND:
+50000 to users making lists
https://subeta.net/forums.php/read/823065/About-Staff-Communication
So it's not like anything being talked about here isn't stuff we were told over a year ago that staff was working on/committed to/making a priority...
And people wonder why some players have a hard time believing what staff posts....
the plot was very smooth, I only recall the site dropping out for 5 minutes max. it hasn't started acting up until recently really. this past year has been very good.
if your food is bad 3/5 times, you wouldn't keep going back. it would be shut down from lack of business.
Amazing how optimistic and naive I was last year. Truly amazing.
Boy, this thread surely stopped my apathy, right.
Instead, I'm just enraged at the part of the userbase who thinks that, because we got the free shop, everything is awesome! uwu
Interesting thing about the Morty Cards is that you can still use them.
It reminds me of Shinwa's quests. There's still a timer on her page and in the quest widget, even though her quests have been rolling over at midnight for ages.
Maybe we should make a list of small things that need fixed. I know one exists already, but they like lists.
I feel like the way things are right now, bugs forums are looked at once in awhile and maybe once or twice a month, a bunch of them get taken care of in a few hours. Suggestions occasionally gets looked at, some things get put into place. Same with this thread, this thread and S&I go hand in hand. A lot falls through the cracks though. Things get forgotten about easily. That's why if I see a small thing I think could get fixed in a minute or two, I ping Amber to it because I know she is able to fix a lot of things, and if not, she knows who is in charge. If staff had a good list that was maintained, maybe things wouldn't fall through the cracks.
Lol, not surpring.
Talking about lists, if Keith likes them so, maybe one should be made about "forgotten projects". I'm sure there's plenty of those. Alltough maybe that also falls under lack of communication about ongoing (or scrapped) projects without notifying users.

Sorry, but I definitely feel like creating and maintaining a list like that should be part of their job and not something the players have to do.
And that may be why nothing gets done. I'd make a list and maintain it as long as it proves useful to staff. Right now there's just incessant complaining and thinking maybe if I complain some more, things will be different.
If you have to do staff's job, , make sure you get paid for it.
If I get paid, it's a bonus. (I need a job) I just think someone needs to step up right now and if no one is willing to do it, why not it be me.
There used to be a list of sorts that made... something about biggest little annoyances or something or other. It started out nicely, lots of little things that players noticed were listed and fixed at first but was eventually locked almost a year ago so they could "catch up".
I'd reckon that if someone had to do it, it would be the people modding Problems and Bugs? Not that I blame them, of course, but I think they would be the most competent people for this job, as they're more savvy than we are about how things are working.
https://subeta.net/forums.php/read/818590/The-giant-list-of-usability-and-random-improvement
Tobias compiled a list of random improvements and fixes that could be done. I think this list is a good start, for a lot things.
And then there was this thread:
The giant list of usability and random improvement
did a fantastic job maintaining it, and quite a few issues were addressed. Unfortunately staff's ADHD set in after a while and they stopped following it.
Edit: Sopheroo beat me to it

It's not the entitlement that disturbs me about these threads, it's the inferences as to the nature of Keith's character, like he's sadistically playing with us ignorant little Subeta users and exploiting us into updating a Facebook page unpaid.
The site is suffering some problems but making accusations about the staff isn't going to expedite this (much as this is the excuse offered), nor does it make anyone here appear smarter, informed, or in a position to be advising anyone.
I'm indifferent to the situation, as I don't have a lot of time to invest in Subeta, and I'm not interested in hearing the very righteous defenses of those that do. (I spend money on this site, too.)
I would not go so far as to suggest that someone should do a job unpaid, but I'm sure that many people who have loved and worked on Subeta haven't had themselves rewarded on precedent.
