I'm enjoying it. Not quite as intensely focused on it as I expected to be, as I found a couple pretty intense rp threads I liked on another site and that's both helped me keep a good level of busy and distracted me a bit. ^.^;;

I'm glad you decided to join. We've had a handful of Ravenclaws join this term. What are you most looking forward to?
You can also become more involved here later. :) What kind of RPs are you into?
Mostly fantasy, though I can be persuaded to do scifi on occasion. And I love rich worlds, but I am often a little waffly when it comes to fandoms. <.< This is one of only a few fandom rps I've ever had any interest in joining.

Well firstly I won't ever play canon, because I fear wrecking the character. And a lot of the people I encountered that wanted to do fandom rps when I was younger demanded people play canon chars, even if OCs were also permitted. Kinda irritated me. Then there's the problem of other people playing canon chars. If they do it well it's okay, but if they're not really good, it can be anything from bothersome to cringe-worthy. Also, I worry about messing up with lore, especially if things are still being created. It's become my habit to be wary of anything that says fandom. ^.^;

If done right, it can be amazing.

I'm good. Super duper busy with work and a daughter turning two next month and a son starting kindergarten in the fall. Plus we're in the process of buying our first home (well, my first...my husband owned his home in Belgium). And said husband was just naturalized this week. It's been a busy year already!!!

Well, everythings basicly! xD That sounds so lame, but really I hope it will be a great place for me to sort of get away from my boring, busy everyday university life! ;) I won't be able to do much this week, however, as I am going on vacation to Italy! :D
True. I'm still a newbie at RPing. It's hard for me to act in character for my own OCs.
Sounds like your year is filled with many new milestones and exciting events. Has your son been in a school-like environment already (day-care/pre-k)?
Wizarding serves as a great way for me to procrastinate on assignments. I'm ready for summer to come.
Are you staying there for a week? Where are you going? I would love to go Italy. I bet the food there tastes so good. My sister studied abroad there last semester.
Everyone should really have a place to procrastinate! Summer would be so great, but I'm just glad it's finally spring! Well, actually, I am from Denmark, so my boyfriend and I will be driving to Northern Italy and staying there for about four days. We'll be stopping in Germany, so we won't have to drive all day and be exhausted when we finally arrive at our hotel. We'll be staying near the Dolomites (a mountain chain in Northeastern Italy). Should be really beautiful, so I am really looking forward to it. I've been to Italy before, and the food really IS amazing. You should go! ;)
My sister actually stayed in a small village in Northern Italy.
I'm hoping I can travel there sometime after I graduate. It would be great if I got a fellowship to go there or Germany. I've never been to Europe before. Why did you two decide to go to Italy?
I'm not sure how the weather has been in Europe, but it has not felt like winter in the New England area. We barely had any snow. Apparently it's supposed to snow tomorrow.
Does your sister speak italian?
Germany is really great too, people are extremely friendly, and I think generally most young people are really good at English. Unless you speak German, then that would not be a problem, I guess! Well, it was actually a travel deal we decided to buy. My boyfriend is taking a masters degree in geology, so he is really all for mountain chains and all that! Me? Not so much, but I'll tag along - also, the hotel has a pool and spa, so I'm covered. :)
Well, the weather depends on where you live of course. As I am from Scandinavia, we've had our fair share of snow and cold, but actually not as much snow as usual this year! Hope you won't get snowed in! March should be sunshine! We've had such great weather lately, but still cold winds and such.
She's studying Italian. I'm studying German.
It seems like you'll really be enjoying the vacation. :)
The weather has been really weird this year. We only had about a week of 'winter'. Last year it snowed in April. I used to think that it would snow from December - January until I actually experience it.
Oh, really? That's so cool! Then you should definitely go! My major is Japanese, and about two years ago I had to chance to go to Japan for 5 months - it was the best decision! It's so much fun going abroad and traveling. I hope you will be able to go! Any particular place in Germany (or Italy) you want to go?
I hope it will be a one time show tomorrow then! It's so strange. I feel like such an old lady, when I think to myself: "When I was a child, the weather used to be different", but seriously, I feel like it was xD We used to have snow for Christmas, and now we just get rain.
Oh yeah, he's been in daycare since he was an infant. In fact, I work at the preschool he is in so I've been in the same building as him since he was a year and a half old. Kindergarten will be the first time he's really away from me.

I want to go on the Fairy Tale Route and visit castles (especially Neuschwanstein Castle). I'd also love to visit Venice, Florence and Naples (which has the oldest pizzeria in the world).
Maybe I'll be lucky and get a fellowship to do research in Germany.
I'm actually from the Sunshine State. We only have two seasons: hot and humid and hot and rainy. My sister came to visit me for spring break and she's "cold".
Hopefully he enjoys it and makes lots of friends. Two of my younger cousins started kindergarten this year and they love it. It amazes me to see how much stuff children learn in kindergarten.

Welcome, hun. I'm glad you joined us! That is really exciting that you are visiting Italy. I'll bet you are stoked. Do you have everything packed yet?
I admire your love for rp. I am soooo slow at rp, but it's really fun. Canon does sound like it could get messy. I read a lot of fanfiction and enjoy seeing different interpretations of characters, but the writer definitely needs to understand them and be able to portray them well.
My niece is two; It is such a fun stage (and very challenging)! Is your son looking forward to Kindergarten?
🌸Seeking:I maaaay have just done a 3-person collab post that ended up being 16 typed pages long. I never have that much to say. EVER. Like, a couple paragraphs, max. flails But this we just wrote and wrote and IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! glee
