I agree. I don't mind socializing out somewhere once in a while, but I'd rather go for coffee, or to dinner, or a movie - I'm not the shopping/clubbing/partying type. A couple of close friends rather than a whole group of acquaintances is so much nicer.

It doesn't anymore, thankfully. At first the glare was awful, but if I wanted to read anything it had to be online because I could only make out like 48 point bold fonts - books were out of the question and even watching TV was awful. Plus I had to keep my head in a certain position to allow for the proper healing of the retina that I had the surgery on. Now that my healing is progressing, though, I can read normally again and it's a lot better. Now I'm only off work for a couple more weeks because I have a 10 lb. lifting limit until I'm totally healed, and it's hard to do my job if I can't lift haha.

My cats thankfully don't eat tinsel, but my girlfriend's one cat does. He's such a little monster haha. Mine do love knocking things off, though, and one of mine has this weird affinity for candy canes.

I do play, although it's been a while because things were too fuzzy to see after surgery. I'm just getting back into it now. I only started playing in the last expansion after my girlfriend essentially forced me to try it and I got hooked. It's definitely easy to play too much (especially when I'm putting off things like studying for midterms or writing a paper lol), so I try to stay away as much as I can unless everything else that needs doing is already done. I will admit to the occasional all-nighter when I got really into a quest line or something lol.

I am with ya! I do love going shopping to Barnes and Noble LOL my best friend is super chill so she goes with the flow which makes us the perfect team :)

Book stores are life. <3 Also, I kind of have an obsession with Lush bath and body stuff haha. And I, too, am blessed with an amazing best friend/girlfriend who is super easy going. Here's to life's blessings!

For realsies! I mean if I go shopping with my best friend I can handle a whole day buuuuut 5 days in a row is a no-no. I did get a lavender/honey shower gel this weekend.

Yeah, 5 days with family is bad enough, let alone most of my friends lol. I lived with two roommates at one point and I constantly wanted to kill one of them because she was always home at the same time I was (we worked similar shifts at different jobs), and she was SO obnoxious I just wanted to cry. It was sad because we'd been best friends in high school, but once we moved in together we realized all the things we hated about each other haha.

Don't get me started on that one! Hahahah I have had plenty of awful roommates. The last one being the worst of all time and the reason I will never have a roommate. My experience with her will be enough for always. I will only live with people I am used to sharing space with... and well when I find a boyfriend and get married lol

I'm a student too. I'll be flying back home after finals. I'm the last of my siblings to finish the semester so I'll be the last one to head home. Looking forward to seeing my family and eating food I enjoy.

I can't wait for the semester to be over. No homework, no papers, no exams! I would appreciate the needed break.

The recipe is actually on the back of the bag of Reese's peanut butter chips in the baking aisle. It's a similar recipe to chocolate chips, but no brown sugar, and lots of cocoa powder. So delish!!!

Most of our ornaments are ones our friends have gotten us over the years. We have a christmas party every year and they bring ornaments for us. So fun to see them all again! Hand painted ornaments are the best!!! And that's so adorable that you have a tree in your room! :o

Oh no! Gout is awful. I've cared for a lot of patients with gout in the past and I've seen how painful it can be for them. Hopefully your husband starts feeling better soon! With the right medication, at least gout attacks usually don't last too long. I'll keep my fingers crossed that he's on the mend in no time! And for your sanity, having to chase around two kidlets on your own for a bit haha!

Not really. My family does Hannukah, so we'll get together next week. The other side of the family does Saint Nicholas Day and Christmas but they're in Belgium so we'll be sitting at home on the 25th.

I'm heading back home for the holidays. I usually go to my great aunt's house for Noche Buena. We tend to celebrate Noche Buena together unless we can't go so we celebrate on Christmas. We do eat a big dinner for Christmas (just my immediate family). I don't really have any big plans for the holidays since I haven't been home since September. I'm excited to see my friends and family. One of my sisters is returning from Italy and my niece is supposed to be born on Christmas. ^.^
