I remember seeing ideas like this thrown around earlier, but I would definitely pay sp if there were an Antique Shop-esque store that sold Delish lines/retired CS items. OwO (It'd clear items off my WL too, lol!)

I wasn't too keen on the idea of a tax on user shops, but after thinking about it I wouldn't really mind.

Flight Rising does this on items users sell. I think it's about 3% per item, which isn't that bad. I've made a decent amount of treasure by selling unwanted items on there. The fee really doesn't take away all that much.

A 3% fee on user shop sales is small enough that it doesn't hurt an individual user's shop profits too badly, but between all the active user shops on site it would really add up take a lot of sP out of circulation.

Yeah please don't call a user shop tax a tax, it will just set off people. Call it something that people won't flip out over just because they heard the word.

I have to agree with Mike about removing sPs, or at least reducing the amount earned, for Wiz quests. You get 250 (350 for GA users) tokens if you're fast and complete all of the quests. Sell'em, and you've netted yourself around 450k (625k for GA users) in sPs (assuming you sell them at the lowest price on the market--20 point tokens are roughly 34k and 50 point tokens are over 100k atm)

I've only recently returned to the game and didnt know about a lot of changes in the past done on site.

Has it been done before that adopting a certain pet (perhaps a new one) will cost a certain amount of sP? I personally am willing to work hard and pay to adopt a pet that I like, much like a paint job (maybe 20-50mil). It's a pet site after all...

I feel that there should be more things that allows you to throw sP at your pets for "improvements" other than battling and gain achievements/medal... heck it can be as ridiculous as letting it learn things like swimming/digging/tracking on a paid course... then maybe pets with high tiers or said nonsense ability will trigger more "you found something" sort of random events (iono I didnt think this through, I just want to brainstorm with you guys). Since unlike neopets, we dont customize our pets anything other than giving them a paint job, there seriously must be something else that we can spend the sP on our pets without endlessly involving user to user only trades. But, the idea is still i want to spend sP on my pets.

Would pay a good amount of sP for more MC challengers. They can be stick figures or stronger challengers we already have, I don't care about new art. Just let me fight something :(

The only thing I really like to spend my sP on is Pets, minus the battling aspect because I have seriously given up on that for the moment as it feels like a hamster wheel to me. I normally sit on my bank account like a grumpy old dragon but when we got the MC slots I bought them all within a couple of hours. Now I don't say "Give us more MC slots." (Even though that would be awesome of course.) but if you come up with some other nice pet related features my sP will be yours. Until then this dragon will watch over his gold and you can't have it. :P

I like the battle idea, even though my pet is only tier 9. Also more battle opponents for t5-t10? It feels like I'm stuck in limbo during this time.

What about a small event every few months or once a month that the Donation Center is broke and we need to donate sP until we achieve the amount of money that the DC needs and in the end we get prizes or to choose one prize like: pet slot, retired Delish set, box of retired CS items, free autoprice during that month, box of boosters, new challenger, anything can work and can be discussed about.

It can be a nice sP sink I think..

Would support new MC colors, make them expensive like 10-20m and you can't get them from the lottery or elsewhere, just the MC

Also, something like infinite use dark potions for like 5m each would be nice. There are a few different kinds.

For people who are interested in pet related things: maybe a color that is tied to an NPC, and which you'd have to pay SP directly to the NPC to acquire?

I know there was a thread not too long ago where people were asking for more recolors. Maybe we could do a little event where there could be like a new character on Subeta who's an "starving artist". He wants to research a new pet color, but he needs a certain amount of funding by a certain period of time or else he can't fund the research. It could be like a Quest-a-thon thing, except the goal is to donate as much sp as possible within a certain period.

If the sp donation goals are reached, he stays in Subeta and comes out with a recolor. You can go to him to have your pet recolored for a certain fee. An optional add-on would be so that each new recolor option, he needs another period of massive funding like the original event.

Here's an example to illustrate my idea: Artist comes into Subeta. Offers a turquoise recolor, but needs like 500mil sp (or whatever amount) Once 500mil is donated to him, he stays in Subeta and offers 500k sp (or whatever amount) turquoise recolors. Next, the artist decides he wants to research an amber color. He needs another 500mil for initial research, and afterwards, people can get amber recolors for 500k.

I agree there needs to be a certain reward for "donating"/deleting sP, BUT realistically speaking I'm not sure how many people would participate (like.. the ones who have 1billion or more and have been saving them up for months... would they really spent their money now?). I guess if the rewards are really good they might, but it is still a gamble.

And although I have no idea about battling (my pets are all too weak, but I'm working on it!!), I support the idea for more battle opponents (and having to pay sP for them)

Also, this is just my own suggestion but how about a "royalty" pet color? And to get that certain color you need to pay xyz amount of sP (a huge sum)

If there are achievements to be won, I bet people wouldn't mind donating/deleting millions of sp. More titles on the forums are always alluring ;) I LOVE the idea of a charity drive where we just delete heaps of monies for achievements or small prizes

The problem with a lot of the past few ideas I'm reading, such as deleting sP vouchers or the broken DC thing is that they would be poorly designed game mechanics.

Yes, we're looking at sP sinks but saying "just give all your sP to this feature for no reason and there's prizes in the end" makes very little sense. It wouldn't really work. It's the same as asking someone to spend X to literally buy X achievement that is tied to X prize with nothing else as a background.

While a lot of current features are linked to spending sP, there's something behind them, a logic that you can insert in Subeta's universe. It's not just "dump all your sP here you'll get a pet slots and csc, wow great sink"

There's also no recurrence in them. They're one shot things. Subeta had a thing like that back in 2004 or 2005 I think, probably as a mean to fix rampant inflation in early years, but it's just an easy patch, a bandage on a fractured leg. It doesn't lead to any long term fix.

Subetan Achievements should reward things you've accomplished, not the other way around, as in, create an achievement and have people do something to get it for no reason.

IMO our situation isn't quite desperate enough to be looking at easy fixes. The real point is to introduce daily, weekly, monthly sinks that just flow with the way you play the game and that are not just a mean to get sP out of the system. Let's not obsess over that part too much, while it matters, it's long time effort that will keep Subeta's economy in good shape, not desperate actions.
