Today I made 1,3m. The payouts were insanely high. The lowest payout had been 160k, the highest nearly 500k. 4 quests weren´t profitable, on one quest I lost almost 70K. The other three were between 30-50K. Those extremes I don´t understand. Really, I don´t understand them.
Most of the items Saggi asks for are 50k-70k at this point. That hurts the profit line a lot. Without having rares vending, they just aren't getting out into the system enough. It used to be that he would ask for items more in the 30k-40k range, but now those same items cost twice as much.
400k is a lot of money for five minutes of work. Maybe a bit on the unlucky side for him but still. 400k is nothing to scoff at.
I think he's paying out too much again. I just got 491k from a single quest. Granted that quest cost me 200k to do, but you know what, 491k is ridiculous for a payout just saying.

My question is, I see where Saggi is handing out profit from the chart. There's no question he's not. But is that chart factoring in what people are spending to get that sP out of Saggi? I know that sP won't disappear from the site when we are buying for his quests. But consider we spend 150k on a four item quest and only get 125k back. I'm wondering if that 125k is all that pops up or if it factors in that 25k loss.
The graphs he's posted before have taken that into consideration, so I'm assuming the current one does.

The problem is that there is no consistency. One day the payouts are insanely high (like today) and another day you lose sp on half of the quests (or even more) because the payouts are between 50-100K.
I made a little over 500k today. I had a couple bigger payouts, around 400 and 300k. Although it is nice to get one or two big payouts to make up for some loss. Sometimes when looking at rarities I assume around a certain amount and it tricks me. XD

How it is today would be nice if it were like this every day, because you make profit, but it's not HUGE. It's somewhere in the middle. I did all 15 for a bit of data and I lost sP on 4 out of 15. When I did lose it was a very small amount, usually between 10 - 20k. Other times I had gains where I only earned a 10k profit or so. So those one or two that had a great profit evened out over the course of all 15.
Total results: Spent: 2,360,247 (holy crap that's a lot of sP) Earned: 3,076,365 Total Profit: 716,118
For today, that's not bad. The thing people are concerned about is tomorrow he might ask for that 2.4 mil in items again but only give tiny rewards in comparison. There's no real fluctuation in user shop prices with Saggi but he fluctuates in what he gives out day by day.
700,000sP is a lot of sP. That's not an "okay" day, that is above what we want the average to be.
The graphs I posted were the overall profit from the quests, meaning that the amount that it cost to do the quest was taken out.

Alright, I had a feeling that was the case but I wanted to be sure!
And I'm personally comparing 700k to what we did used to get before the recent Saggi changes. I'm not sure what you guys want the average to be. For us, 700k was an average day, 1 mil was a great day. Until these last couple of weeks, I was getting 700k and was totally content.
I wasn't contradicting the statement; actually, I was saying that today was pretty nice in comparison to what it was for the past few days which was...cringe-worthy. Probs just phrased it a little wrong. ;)
Something does seem different today. I made somewhere over 1M sP from his quests today, a big change from his payouts in recent days. I also noticed it was again my payouts that were much higher today, not the items requested that led to the difference. I paid over 200k for a few individual quests but was handsomely rewarded even for those, and I rarely had a quest cost less than 100k. I don't know. Seems like something's a little funny with Saggi.
Just did three quests and lost 250k ???? I'm guessing I just have shitty luck.

As I said yesterday there is no consistency. You cannot predict which quets are profitable any longer. If you try losing sp is guaranteed. And you WILL predict wrong. You only can do all quests and hope you´ll make a profit.
made 480,484 had to skip 7 quests because he is asking way to high items
You've basically given Saggi the payout it NEEDED to not screw the economy in the long term. Looks like your quest bot is paying off, you're understanding the impacts better. You are completely right, 700k is a lot and is inline with the other quests (with selling rewards). People just don't like change, especially change where they end up with less but it is REQUIRED. :)
Nice change.
i've given up trying to understand saggi's payout logic. similar rarities can payout with completely different amounts and result in a big loss or gain. how am i even supposed to tell which quests to give up when they could pay out big or just fuck me over because random chance? for now im just doing every single quest.
(made 220k today. thanks saggi so generous)
(update: made 310k off of /sarah/ quests. it is like christmas up in here gg saggi gg)
Pretty much this. Used to be (long ago) he paid out better for rares and better still for super rares. The other day I had a super rare and two high rares and he paid out 54k as a reward. Considering the cost of most of the rares and super rares he asks for 54k is not an acceptable "reward".
“Justice will not be served until those who are unaffected are as outraged as those who are.” - Benjamin Franklin
"Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees, to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people, making widows their prey and robbing the orphan." - Isaiah 10:1-2
We upped the amount that Sarah gives out so that she gives new users a quick boost. You shouldn't be doing both in the same day, so I'll be looking into methods to make sure that you don't. :)
As far as Saggi goes, I'll take a look at the algorithm that chooses how much sP to give back depending on the items, but looking at the 250 sample quests today he's pretty much in line with what we're looking for him to give out. You not being able to figure out beforehand if a quest is profitable isn't something I'm super worried about, to be honest.

So... we've been encouraged to consider what's being paid out for quests to determine whether or not they're worth doing. However, sometimes paying out 60k per item is still quite profitable for Saggi quests. Does this mean we're just meant to do all of his quests regardless and hope things pan out? Asking specifically for Saggi, as he's the one who used to be based off of rarity and wildly differs in what he gives in return.
Edit: 10 quests in and I've made just over 100k for nearly 40 items turned in.
