With all of the "tinkering" and the pulling rares out of vends, etc… prices are completely insane. This makes some other quests more profitable, but Saggi less so. He used to be the first quest I did. Now I do them if I have time and feel like it later in the day.

I understand that change brings a certain amount of adjustment, but I am really getting fed up with all of the half-done, never-quite-fixed status of so many things around here. They started messing with the vends, RS, and quests and then it seems they stopped before it got worked out. Now some shops are woefully and constantly understocked. But hey, the new wardrobe (version 3) will be out soon â„¢ so that will take our minds off this mess.

I believe I'm agreeing with you. Incidentally, I think it's nice if Saggi has got more his own preference for a particular genre within the species of items he asks. At this time, it is so arbitrarily. For example, i will be nice, he will ask more often items from those shops:

would you please let us know (not just me. Please don't ping just me) as to what's going on here with Saggi and when he'll be reverted back to how he was before that week when he started giving books/food out as an additional prize? Or whatever plans you have for making him profitable again? He was supposed to be the best paying quest on site now he's one of the worst :/ A once in a while somewhat okay payout from him isn't what he used to be :/ No Super Rares being asked for, no profitable payouts. We all miss the old Saggi. Could've gotten up to 300k in the past. Please revert him back to how he was before.

And that there was the problem with him before. That is far far too much payout for 30 seconds of work. His payouts did desperately need to be cut back and now they have.

I do Saggi everyday and still always turn a profit. Today I made 360k all together, doing all his quests. Sure I lost out a little on some individual quests but obviously I had a net gain at the end of it. 360k for about five minutes is quite excellent in my opinion. I'm personally happy with where he's at right now. Though I seem to be in the minority on this.

When doing my quests yesterday and today, I've written down what I've spent on his quests and what I got back when I do ALL 15 of them and wow did I loose a lot! ACTUALLY No I didn't, I actually GAINED 529.174sp yesterday and today a whooping 703.989sp!

I will continue to record this for a few days and encourage everyone to do the same who screams how bad these changes to Sagittarius are and how much they "loose" from him, TO ACTUALLY SEE HOW WRONG THEY ARE! Sure, I made some losses on individual quests, that's why I tried not to skip one to see if I make the loss back in the next one and I am really fucking surprised just how much I've gotten.

Just don't skip any, forget how you usually did them and find out how profitable they actually are, and then I hope this board will die... (can post my recordings upon request if you don't believe me too)

I still make a profit on Saggi everyday that I do his quests. Like at least 200k and more often like 500k. I can do mine today and post results.

Today I made 377,595 and numerous items were cheaper than they have been recently. It has been many weeks of quests being almost entirely 40k-60k items, 3-4 for each quest. It makes me wonder if something has been tweaked again.

Many players have been reporting 200k-300k for completing his quests. Losing(not loosing) sP on half of the quests completed is not fun, though.

The last time I paid attention to this thread his payouts were crap.

All 15 Spent: 1,474,396 Rewards: 1,847,564

Total Rewards: 373,168 If I mathed correctly: Spending Average: 98,291 for each quest. Reward Average: 123,176 for each quest.

I lost on only five of the quests.

I'm surprised to see that he didn't ask me for 3-4 items each costing over 60k this time. In fact a few of the items I restocked/bought from the pawn shop.

So I did what was saying, all 15 to see what happens.

Started sP: 754,766

Ended sP: 1,346,085

=PROFIT of 591,319

I did lose on 1 that was a little high(50k+), but for the most part I gained even if it was a little bit (couple thousand). That seems different than I was doing last week. I was losing on a lot more quests. I wonder if they tweak it. But I am going to keep doing this and see if I am as lucky on other days.

I do agree we should not be getting 300k on a single quest completion especially during the week. I could see that more on a weekend buff.

I don't see how saggi is such a terrible quest? I don't agree with the comments that say he isn't giving out enough sP and needs to give more sP. honestly, there's so much sP already generated onsite all having him give out more money is going to do is just deflate the currency even more than it already is. Saggi quests should not be giving out so much sP that it's your only source of income, sorry.

That being said saggi quests have always been such that you can't complete them all. Back before the revamp, he would ask for items worth millions of sP that no one on their right minds would get him. Now sometimes he'll give poor pay outs on some quests. Don't attempt to do every quest and you'll be fine. If you see he's not paying out so well on a couple of quests, don't spend more than x amount and you won't lose money. If you see him paying out well then chances are you can spend a little more. Just don't expect to spend 500k on a quest and get profit on it.

I think the changes in the market dictate how good Saggi is or is not. For awhile there the rare/super rares were up in price to the point that what you got as a reward was way lower than your output costs. During that time he was a horrible quest. Many of those prices have since decreased and now his rewards are greater than the cost of doing his quests most of the time. Hence a nice profitable quest giver. You still need to compare item rarity to cost to do his quests correctly. But that's been true since he was tweaked many months ago.

Today I made 204,635. I did all 15 quests.

Saggitarius 10/10 quests and I made near the 350K profit.

Compare with:

I'm content with them both.

Quentin 6/10 lost near the 2000 sp. No mange amulet's

I have made better profits from Quentin in the past.

Got about ~288k today. The problem is, until about quest 10/15 I had earned a total of... 27k!!!! and that's with having taken items out of my shop so I had actually lost money on his quests. I mean the last 5 quests made up the difference, but it was seriously pure luck he had even given me such good quests for the last 5 (like they were top-tier 4 cheap rares for 100k+ rewards). And all of this is with having quit quests that were going to be very obvious losses (like 100k+ for 3 rares type quests.)

The problem here mostly is that his quests are so... unpredictable. Getting a good assortment of items is a crapshoot and even his payout has nearly no logic. I've had quests where it's asked for 2-3 super rares so I buy them, and he gives me 60k or so. Meanwhile, 4 rare items totaling to maybe 50k total can give me 100k+.

I'm fine with lower payouts, and I guess I can understand the whole "risk it for a big reward" type idea. But rarely do I ever see any justification for my risk, so it just ends up being "skip 6-7 quests until you get to a 4 item quest". And it's kind of frustrating.

Did they change Saggi quests again? I've been getting mostly rare item requests, but had a super rare up to r99 and a normal. The payout isn't any better and probably worse. 36657sP for 3 rare items, really Saggi?!

Edit: Profit only 100k for 15 quests. Since the change, I've lowered the average buying from 50 to 40k per item which made around 400-600k per day, but this seems to not work anymore today.
