The neela almost had huge antlers (see above!) and was much more elk than ibex, but logistically I found it very difficult to work with perspective-wise, and fitting it in the canvas in interesting poses without making it super tiny. I tried going the elk route with the hydrus one! It's unlikely we'll do another deer pet, there are so many different species we want to do before returning to an ungulate.
Really don't want to do anything more humanoid than the harvester/warador - I just really hate the idea of owning people-types as a pet? I think something centaurish could be fun, but with the top half being very animalistic, or something like the andalites from that book series Animorphs c:
- we are super lacking in monkeys and apes! I'd love a big beast of a gorilla.
Elephants, yes. I still like this as a species idea :D
I'd like a third robot pet, tbh.
The Cadogre is more land-bound, while the Endeavor is more for Aerial, so maybe some kind of searobot.
Robot Cuttlefish/Octopus or something Crab/Lobster, maybe?

YES TO ANDALITES! ALWAYS YES TO ANDALITES! FOREVER AND EVER AND EVER.
Ahem.
I really like the concept of the Neela you posted, but yeah I can see how big menacing antlers would be hard to fit in the box.

There was an interesting documentary of the making of Bambi, where they talked about how they had to have models made of the deer's antlers to be able to work with drawing the perspective correctly! I really understood why when sketching out some of my neela concepts.
I could maybe see about an elk-experiment in the future, so at least there was SOME sort of badass antler representation :)
Count my vote for more stags. My one pet, Yakul, doesn't exactly fit as a neela nor an antlephore. We need like a combination of the two, without the antlephore's derp (obviously). And with bitchin' antlers.

Haha, a monkey-centaur. Other animals in place of the upper body could result in some interesting combos. If you had a rabbit attached to some kind of ungulate body, it'd probably be adorable, but a praying mantis with the body of a horse? Not so much.
I've always wanted to see a hyena pet or more mythological-based ones. If an elephant pet is being considered, maybe something like a Baku? one two bonus plushie from DA because it's adorable
ALSO ALWAYS YES TO DINOSAURS. ❤️
- Those antlers are amazing. I love the first and last. :D
If regular antlers are too much trouble to work with, you could do some crazy Arceus-like pet with antler-like growths off of the torso or shoulders? No one says these pets have to be 100% lifelike. :P

Can we have an experiment based on an axolotl sometime, please? Or a mole experiment. I think we don't have any.
Also, love the capybara idea.
I want a pig please, a pig! And yeah the Tasmanian devils and the kangaroos are awesome ideas people, yes yes.
And I would love an experiment like that too but there are already minions of the axolotl so I don't know if they'd want to do it so ? and can't remember the other one that looked super cute too.
Aw, the Axolityl is very cute. But since experiments are generally a combination of different animal features and other stuff, I would love the see an axolotl's external gills somewhere, someday x)
Yes I agree that could be cool! I feel like we need more underwater pets anyway and yes, the experiment pet for the axolotl would be great. c:
It looks much more like a frog than an Axolotl to be honest.
It was based on frog and axolotls and something else I believe. You can definitely see axolotls in the ear fringes!

We need a crane/stork/heron type pet - a bird with long legs that looks a little more regal or proud than the ones we have. All the bird pets are very similar to real-life birds and therefore very specific.
Yes I understand that. I do see the small weird ears but it still looks like it was based 95% on a frog, don't you think so ? If I don't know Subeta and I see a Xotl I'll be like "Oh that's a cute frog !" :P Then I can agree that the name of the pet "Xotl" and the ears can get people confused. It is still not close enough to look like to an Axolotl so I would not mind seeing an experiment of the cute thing as proposed ! :D (And you said another thing as well ? Hmm...I don't know...personally the face also reminds me the face of a snake but I can be wrong !)
