Does it make me a bad person if I'm amused by all of those items? -goes to see your gallery-

Yeah. Changing this without consulting either the person who made it/was made for is kinda shitty, TBH. The item and description have nothing to do with it's original intended purpose, and honestly it makes zero sense now.
I would post a comparison of the old item name and description vs this changed one so anyone that somehow didn't know/forgot what it originally said could see themselves and understand why a lot of us are really confused by the newer one, but I don't want to get into trouble for doing that.

Tbh I kind of like this idea. Though imo anything is better than the old version
So it's ok for you to go ahead and change an item that was a gift from one person to another in regards to their marriage when it didn't even need to be changed and has been around for YEARS but we still have fetus pops which are unclassy as hell and that people proved a valid point for changing. Since this was changed then it's only fair that those should be too because they are in way more poor taste then this ever was.
Honestly if you are going to let an item like spousal attitude adjuster get the best of you then you don't belong on subeta because there are hundreds of items that could be labeled as offensive in some way on site and you just ruined an item that was a wedding gift from one user to another. Why not actually target an item that should be changed,Like the fetus pops for example? You want to find an issue with something then that's an item to get into an uproar about but not the attitude adjuster,That WAS an awesome item :/
The fetus pops are fine to the majority of people, the same way the attitude adjuster was fine to a majority of people too.
I adore the black humor of the fetus pops because it's glaringly obvious they're not real fetuses. People don't take fetuses to make candy, but people absolutely can use rolling pins for "adjusting attitudes"
I guess this could be seen as offensive as well to some?
I never found the Spousal Attitude Adjuster being offensive, personally. Maybe because the description said with no word at all that you'd beat your spouse with it, only scaring him. Like shaking it furiously (pretended) and your spouse is just like "Mh, ok I'll do the dishes."
There are Items that are probably far more offensive.
I'm glad the original was altered, but I love this suggestion for the description (especially since it came from the original recipient of the item)! I got the "never go to bed hungry" joke, but it's pretty obscure, and this one makes it clear... plus the tone fits with the tone on a lot of other descriptions, if that makes any sense ^X^;
And regarding the fetus pops/items... they don't offend me, and I'm of religious/political persuasions where people might assume I WOULD be offended. Yeah, I think they're gross, but then I also think all the poop foods are gross, and I still buy those for Pete when he asks ;)
This is why I really hate these boards. Even if some people have valid arguments, the issues get pushed further and further. is offensive? how about because it's in a bowl? how about ? and don't forget
at some point we just have to focus on the topic presented and if you really feel like some other item is stopping your ability to be happy, make a new thread or a ticket. just be happy this item was changed. don't over think it, 99% of the people here will never encounter this item ever again. it is not a huge deal that the description doesn't quite fit any with the item, but does it really matter o_o

rewarded for my frustration.
Oh god, Subeta really is getting overly sensitive over all kinds of things. It's really tiresome to have people get offended at every turn because of funny virtual items or features that clearly were not meant to harm anybody.

It only matters because someone paid specifically for this item and the references made to marriage back when Subeta sold custom items like this.
If you want to make the "no one will ever come across this item again" point, that applied to it in its original state too, I guess, and we see how well that point held water.
I didn't really care if it was changed or not. Was pymajack refunded when his longcat was changed? I'm not sure if this should really apply to something that is no longer a feature on the site.
What ticks me off most is that it was personal to you and it was changed with no concern whatsoever in regards to that and like I said if they are going to change one thing like this then they need to be fair and apply it to some others that people have had larger issues with too or in my opinion it could be considered favoritism towards the particular user complaining if they aren't willing to adjust anything else.
I think after what happened because of Longcat it was just logical to change the Item. ;)
Refunded? Pymajac was staff, so that wasn't a purchased item, and IIRC there was a new one issued in its place.
Regardless, while Subeta may not have custom items that work the same as they did a decade ago, we do have user made custom clothing that staff has needed to revamp before and in those cases, the original creators were consulted. I think that sets plenty of precedent.
yes, and this issue keeps popping up every now and then. some people have real issue with it and isn't it just logical to change this item too after awhile? I don't really agree with going around and changing every item that people take issue with, but this one in particular keeps being brought back from the dead.
I figured staff paid for them too. Yeah that draconis thing, I miss the longcats. Really though, it's still an item on the site. She got a good probably 8 years from it? I don't think custom items deserve the protection if there is that big of an issue with them. Maybe the solution lays in let's go talk to the person who paid for this item (DebiLee I think I read? she has a dream dragon too though, can't one just be enough?) and have them devise a new name + description that people take less issue with?
DebiLee hasn't been online in three months and she purchased the item as a wedding gift for me. That's the point. (The Dream Dragon was her "staff" custom, as well.)
then until she gets back on, it should be left as is since it really doesn't matter. if she gets back on, maybe she can have it changed to her liking.
However, I don't think privileges from 10 years ago such as custom user items should be of any concern if an item has to be changed for any reason at all.
Nothing is "personal to one user" once you submit the art to Subeta. It's the site's and you have no claim over any of it. No "but". Favoritism would be not changing the item specifically because Luxe was Staff, as opposed to changing it because 50 people asked.
