I'm so very very tired of all of this.
Upside: Only one notice of unread messages on this thread instead of a notice for every post.
Downside: literally everything else.
I can no longer comment people from their profile (just loads a blank page), apparently can't pick up CW invites (was working earlier but not now), can't see the accept information when I accept a dance (who it was/tokens). I just...this is getting to be super ridiculous.
It looks like things around here might finally be getting back to "normal" -- but I've prepared this for the next time things go awry:

I was thinking... maybe we should have our own SubetaLodge staff Discord?
Benefits would be: easier to be mobile, works when Subeta doesn't, Subeta staff can't read our posts

I have thought about that but my next thought is always that we have a shoutbox no one uses so what is the point?
- It could be just me, but I always forget about our shout box, but I'm always on Discord.
I have the shoutbox up but nobody uses it so I don't use it lol
I'm not always on discord but it's definitely easier to keep up with backlogged messages if necessary for me there and would be helpful when this site is down too.
Also...the site has been pretty stable for me so far, a miracle :o

Mr. Mathman! I have a counting problem for you!
<p>On the "my checklist" page, these are the numbers given for the minions I have and that I need. 4105-2496=1636, so there are still 1636 that I still need.

<p>But when I select "Click here to see all the items in Minions" and then click "Items you need", this is the number of minion it tells me I am missing. This 1638 is 2 off of the original number.

<p>I actually came across this by doing some manual math. I found that I was always 2 minions short of 1638, so from what I have computed, 1636 does seem to be the correct number. That is unless there are 2 minions that are registered but just don&;t show up. I have also tried refreshing each one multiple times to see if it would help, but it did not.</p>
<p>I am unaware if this is an issue in any other checklist, but I just wanted to bring it to your attention. Or maybe I&;m simply overlooking something.</p>

Looking into this. Since you're having the same error, could you check this out for me?
How many minions does the sidebar widget say you have?
When you go to list the collection and click on "Items you have" (or just click the link), what's the total at the bottom of the page?
My guess is that they'll be different for you.

Yup.
You and Kittyclaws911 have the same minion listed multiplie times in your list -- your list has 1577 minions in it, but only 1445 unique minions.
Minions are different from most of the collections on here in that Subeta lets you keep multiples of the same minion in the zoo, but you can't have multiple plushies, beanbags, wearables, food, etc.
My concern was that the mass-add script was allowing these multiples in, so I did some testing, and the mass-add script is working as intended. At this point, I've got two conjectures:
(1) The old minion mass-add script was buggy (we changed it last year when Subeta broke something), and we're only now discovering that.
(2) Subeta's current API doesn't send information about duplicate minions the same way for all users, so just because it works for me doesn't mean it works the same way for everyone else. This seems unlikely, but I wouldn't put it past them.
I've fixed Kittyclaws911's list so that the duplicate minions are gone; I haven't fixed yours yet. I can do this as a batch job and fix everyone's count, but it's be nice to pin down what's going on before we start getting a lot more questions about why their counts went down.
I haven't got a minion list, but do have some minions in the zoo with many duplicates. Would it help if I created a list and did a mass add?

: Thanks, but I don't think it's necessary. Like I said, I think the current mass-add script is working correctly. And I've got spare minions that I've been adding and removing for testing, I wasn't able to go from 1 to 2 of the same minion, or from 0 to 2 of the same minion, so the script seems to be rejecting duplicates regardless of whether they are in the collection already.

you do what you need to do before fixing anything. It would be great to do them all at the same time when you are ready. Shall I let kittyclaws know or did you?
I haven't let her know yet. Go ahead and let her know so that she won't wonder why her minion count dropped. I'll follow up if I can figure out when and how the duplicates got in.
Super unimportant probably compared to other things but...should I make a news post on SL about the new Mill Center item? I added it but I cannot for the life of me figure out if we news post those things too. My brain is tired.
