that's great. thanks
I just saw your response to the person asking about a page for alcove items like the genetech
the problem i see is the fact that the same combination can get different results.
but i am sue you have a plan to handle that
Okay, all of the new items are in SL and hopefully categorized right. So far, the only note for them is "Morostide 2019: " because I can't confirm what is ToT and what is Patch (I have a guess as to where they split off, but no confirmation yet).
I haven't made an announcement because Subeta hasn't announced the start yet.
[edit] For some reason, the note isn't appearing on Trance even though it's definitely there (it's showing up on all of the others).
Thanks!
I see a note on Trance...

I sat here impatiently waiting as they added things haha.
Maybe my cache was just lagging really hard on that particular item then.
Anytime ❤️ I've been obsessively watching for the addition of Morostide items and the start of the event haha.
Really great newspost you did!
I went back and copied/pasted from last year's anything that was relevant so I didn't miss stuff (like the codes for all the things and the items to help avoid hexes/find minions etc).
girl. just take a compliment!
Well I want to be truthful haha. But I was super happy to be able to get to do it xD This is my favorite holiday time :)
Newbie question, folks. I'm working on a tweak to how weapons are displayed and entered -- and this'll also be how damage stats for battle challengers are displayed and entered (hadn't forgotten, Georgie -- I'm working on them both.)
When a weapon stat is listed as "15 or 20 or 20 or 30", that just means that 25% of the time, it does 15 damage. 50% of the time, it does 20 damage. 25% of the time, it does 30 damage.
Right?
So if a stat is listed as a simple range like "5-8", should I interpret that as 25% of the time it does 5 damage, 25% of the time it does 6 damage, 25% of the time it does 7 damage, 25% of the time it does 8 damage?
Or just that 5-8 damage is possible, but we're not sure of the percentage breakdown?
IU am thinking that is a question you should be asking in the battle forum
REALLY? I never would have guessed~!
: And let them know how truly clueless I am about this? :) (Okay, okay, I'll do it.)
Ugh, those can be weird - for some of the x or y patterns, they are equally as likely to happen, other time, they aren't. I've noticed in particular, the ones that are 0 or 20, the 0 seems to happen way more often than the 20. On the other hand, if it says 0 or 20 or 20, then yes the 20 seems to happen about twice as often as the 0.
The ranges are just ranges, they aren't weighted, just random, so really all the numbers should show up with similar frequency, but Subeta's RNG seems very unrandom. So who knows.

I'm very subtle, I know.
We had talked before about having some sort of "warning" mentioning it might be a good idea to stock up on certain items at certain times. To take that one step (or 20?) further... how about more of a changing commentary of sorts with things like "the price of this item has dropped 500% since last year" or "This item has been rising in price for the pst 3 months" Or stuff like that.
I amn putting it so elegantly. What put me in mind of this is the huge drop in price of certain candies. For instance, had I paid 76m last week for a candy right that has dropped to 2 million today I would be really upset.
Probably would take a lot of programming though for a self updating script like that. Not to mention a lot of resources.
: What if we had something like a "trend search"? I'm not exactly sure what that would look like, but for a start, we could let users search for these kinds of trends:
That way we wouldn't be 'on the hook' for trends we've identified -- we're just giving users the tools to do their own research.
