I was a reading a very old thing where people were trying to figure out was rank was based on. They figured int was definitely in the mix, but that wasn't all. Some people had several untrained pets whose ranks were all over the place. Some suggested it was part based on pet id, but others couldn't find any correlation to time with same stat pets. Basically it comes down to who knows? no one!

Hey Remind me how often prices are updated, please.

: The cron updates 120 items every hour, Items of rarity 200 or higher are never updated (these include custom clothing, which rarely sells for 'mere' sP and unobtainable/staff items.)

Right now, it takes 21 days to get through every item. As more new items get added, it'll take a little longer to get through the whole list. We could tweak the cron to update a little faster, but I don't want to amp it up so high that it pisses Subeta off.

-- not much at all. I've got it set up so that we can run the cron at different speeds throughout the day, so we could ramp up the speed at night at first to see how it goes, then expand it to the daytime if everything goes okay.

I don't know if the regular ticket handlers would know much about this area -- maybe want to talk to one of the coders (Bug or Amber?) -- who probably have a better sense of what kind of load they can handle.

Actually , would you be comfortable doing it since they will propbably want more in depth info than I can give without asking you? If not, that is fine, I don't mind doing it at all. I would just really like to see the time cut in half if it were at all possible :x
