I just got an answer to my ticket.

Staff no longer locks threads in S&I if the idea has not been established.

According to Rasputina, it helps staff to keep an eye on things, so they're not going to lock it yet.

So necroing is just allowed now even if the idea is going to happen in the future? Meh I don't like this.

[edit] Curious to see if my ticket will be responded to in the same way, filed it a bit ago but it hasn't been taken yet

Even though it breaks the necro rule?

That seems like it could lead to problems, but thanks for making a ticket

This is the answer I was given

Hello and thanks for waiting Sopheroo. Generally we don&;t lock topics in Suggestions & Ideas anymore if they&;re necro&;d because it helps to have everything in the same place, rather than having it spread out in several threads. Since it hasn&;t been added yet, we may want to keep it open, but I&;ll check on this.

I never liked the idea of not allowing 'necros' anyway; so what if the post is a few months old, if it's still relevant and the person posting has something new or interesting or even a 'yes please' to say, why should that matter? Obviously in this case it's already been settled, but if suddenly hundreds of people are clamouring for a third base on this thread, 3 years from now, it's relevant again. Naturally 'bump' posts shouldn't be allowed, but you wouldn't prevent someone from expressing their opinion on a matter in real life if the matter had happened 60 years ago, would you? 'No, you can't have an opinion on this, this happened in the 50s, don't necro ideas.' The reasoning of the staff makes sense. Finger on the pulse, so you will, without everyone with the same idea having to make a new thread.

I'm not saying I like the rule, I just don't like inconsistent interpretations of the rules. especially when staff hasn't made it clear that we can necro threads on these forums. on the one thread where this question could be answered, it was not (here) so apparently this is a new rule, or not all of staff knows about it. I think the necro rule prevents the annoying person from going way back in time and bringing back obsolete threads, so they look current. So I'm not 100% against it.

maybe staff is still considering the penis base

Your signature is 913 px wide by 77 px tall. Please note this can be affected by CustomCSS if you have any.

(Because text affects the width of your signature, we suggest testing with all text removed to be sure your width is correct.)

I'm chiming in to voice my dissatisfaction with the inconsistency of the necroing rules.

So it's just gonna be cool to ping people regarding posts they made ages ago just because it happens in Suggestions & Ideas?

I don't understand this either. It's typical for threads to get locked once the ideas in them get implemented. A post from the site's owner saying it'll happen in the future seems like sufficient grounds to lock a thread imo.

I made a ticket in October of 2014 and got this reply:

I finally received an answer and the [necroing] rule does apply to all in Suggestions & Ideas with the exception of the Brainstorming subforum. I went ahead and locked the thread that was reported.

So when and why was this change enacted? Can it please be announced and clearly delineated?

Why somebody who is born with female parts would think she is a male is beyond me (or a male thinking he is a girl).
Lucky for you that it's none of your business :)

No but this really should be locked, if not for the necro than for the petty/rude replies every so often, but none of them have been enough to have it locked either apparently.

Can we talk about a much bigger issue ? I identify as male, so why is there no base with a penis ? My virtual virility is in shock and may never be able to recover from this situation Subeta puts me in that seriously damages my daily emotional state</p>

I agree with this. I don't see why it's so hard to do? I mean, females have breasts. So why can't males have penises? You can't say its because it will change the pants clothing on subeta. Female tops have changed over the years, because of the changes female chest base has gone through. It's sad that the male base can't grow forth and change/develop into something wonderful that is the penis.

Are you serious? He's obviously kidding. Females have more than just breasts by the way, they lack certain other things on their HA.

I think people should stop trying to make HAs equivalent to real life.

I can't wait for this to finally get changed so this thread can finally be locked.

Well on a website that is for people 13+, it's probably not the most appropriate. If you want to see those, I suggest a google image search.
