thanks :D My outfit was the closest to a solar eclipse look that I could find laughs :D It was too cloudy earlier in the week to see the aurora which apparently was visible from areas 80 miles to the south of here (so if it was clear we could've seen it), but at least today the cloud broke just as the eclipse happened, so I was able to see it :D Was that visible from where you are at all?

They'd forecast completely clear skies, but there was quite a bit of fog & cloud about. yeah, that's what I felt with the last one in 1999 - we were too far away from Cornwall to see the total eclipse, but we should've seen about 98% .... but it was cloudy the entire time, so we didn't see anything! :K

And yep, it's my first attempt at a jacket, so it's proving interesting ;) I had several arguments with the collar, unpicked part of it, restitched it, unpicked it again and stitched it once more, and the slight mess gets covered by the collar itself, so that's not too terrible laughs I've just got to hem the base (by hand shudders) and figure out the sleeves :D Mum's tried the jacket on, but I've convinced her that it doesn't suit her 😇 :P

That is a shame... at least you guys had better view this time around. I would love to see the northern lights, one would think I had so already- but nope. lol The Hesdalen lights are actually pretty well known too, I have seen it in different youtube vids on weird unexplained phenomenons. That is in one specific valley tho. :P

Making a jacket seems like one of the most complicated garments to sow! Not that I have attempted it, but it seems challening. Are you gonna use bottons then? Seems easier than a zipper at least, and works just as well. Can you tell I like taking the easy way out. :cough:
