well, I only knew because made me a banner advert thing that said "dance with Paddy on her birthday" :P laughs

You know that duvet cover I got a month or so ago, that I was going to make a top out of? Mum spotted this (link) online which is almost an identical looking pattern and colour! So, that duvet cover is going to be a jacket (slightly different style to that one, as it's got a flared base rather than the vent flap thing on the back), to see how close I can get it looking to that one :P ;)

hehe I saved the images to use in a future year, just in case :P

:D I couldn't believe how similar it is to the duvet cover fabric laughs Especially given that the duvet cover was 9 quid (enough fabric for 2 jackets) and that jacket (admittedly it's lined, which mine won't be) is just short of 150 quid!

:D Twirl Paddy wee

I'm not sure I'd pay that for a jacket lol, I reckon that jungle book bag you made would sell for a lot of money.

laughs it's the "sister company" of a place I used to work - we had a 40% staff discount for uniform, but it didn't make them all that reasonable on price! I kept all the suits when I left though, as it seems silly to get rid of them when they're still perfectly wearable ;) My favourite suit jacket was about 12 quid though (and it was washable :P) ;)

😊 I dunno about that - I still need to figure out how to make the lining fit better without getting quite so creased ;)

yeah I'd have kept them as well. ooh nice :D that's a reasonable price and washable :D I think its brilliant and I'd see it selling here for like $70 (guessing cos I dont really know nappy bag costs)

nods and because they did a petite range (which the store I worked in didn't), they fitted a bit better too ;) :D

When I checked nappy bag prices over here, they were about 30 - 35 quid, so that's about 50 - 60 dollars I think? But that bag pattern works well as just a messenger bag too, so it's not specific to carrying nappies in it ;) :D

lol even better :D I've seen messenger bags here for $70-$200. I think my most expensive one is my Jansport (messenger/computer bag) one, which I bought on the first day of the semeseter at college one year because, like a moron, I forgot to bring a bag for all my books I was buying o.0 so I had to spend $80s on it.

😮 people pay $200 for a messenger bag?! Actually, people over here pay stupidly high prices for handbags, but that just sounds a lot pricier than anyone should ever need to pay! ;)

That stinks that you had to spend 80 dollars on the one for college though :( I think if that'd been me, I'd have had a bag with me that was too small for the books so I'd have to buy a new one anyway 😊

you should see the prices of bookbags and messenger bags in luggage stores, its ridiculous

it is a good bag, but it was too heavy to carry everything in so I wound up having to use both that bag and a bookbag--which later became a rolling bookbag. I think the heavy books led to the start of my back problems. lol but you'd have at least brought the bag with you :P

nods I had a Kipling bag for my birthday a couple of years ago - the store in town was closing down, so they had them 50% off.... no way are they worth full price! ;)

Yeah, that could've lead to your back getting that bad - certainly when I was in school, we seemed to have way too many books to carry around, and of course the lockers that they had in the first year, then got removed in the second year so there wasn't anywhere you could leave the morning's books when it got to lunchtime :K

that's evil, removing the lockers!

nods those are the bags that have a little monkey keyring - they sell the keyring on its own for 15 quid o.O

Yep, apparently they needed getting rid of as there weren't enough for everyone to have one.... but never mind about those of us who were using them already!

There wasn't space in the hall to put more in, but they could've used a different room

I complain at keyrings that are $8 lol. Speaking of, btw, I love getting my keys out now, cos not only do I have my Tardis on it but my wooden Nigel :D

yeah, I was thinking in other halls or such.

laughs that craft stall had so many different wooden keyrings, it was really hard to pick one that was purrfect as Nigel ;)

nods we only had the main hall (pretty small school - there were only 350 kids there across 7 year groups, then for the 6th form there were 9 of us taking A-levels :P), but there were other classrooms that weren't used so they could've put them there instead.
