this particular jacket is meant to be an edge-to-edge one, so it has a hook & eye to hold it closed.... but I think I'm going to go with a button & loop instead, as that would look a bit better ;) It's going to look like this: (hopefully), the option at the top, rather than the one she's wearing (as that has a collar & gathered skirt frill thing, rather than pleats) ;)

I'm amazed you've not been able to see the Northern Lights yet - I guess you're just a bit too south to get to see them on a regular basis :(

Oh,that is one pretty ballgown, everything works so well together. ^^ Mine is kinda unimaginitive in my book. But I was kinda lost for ideas, funny since it was my week to pick. :P That looks like a brilliant design! :D There are so many buttons out there to chose from as well... that can really make a difference to the whole look of the jacket. ^^

And yeah, I'm a bit reluctant to try knitting anything wearable for his baby, as I tend to lose patience part way through and abandon stuff like that 😊 but I might have a flick through my old patterns & see if there's anything that might work :D
